- Apple unveiled its latest and most powerful iPhone during an event at their new Apple Park. The latest iPhone has many new features including a new screen, no home button and 3D emojis. The phone comes at a hefty price tag of $999 USD.

People don't 'pay' $1000. It's subsidized and on 24 month contracts etc. very few people can say they 'pay' that amount of money for a phone. If people had to pay outright, phones would never reach such an extortionate price.

Lol, iPhone X was probably one of the most underwhelming release in Apple`s history. I still think the first one was obviously the most innovative but iPhone 4 brought Retina-screen and jaw-dropping design in age when every other smartphone was made from cheap plastic. Then iPhone 5S brought perfomance and especially TouchID, which is still used in iPhones and mimicked in many other smartphones. X`s FaceID is evolutionary at best compared to TouchID and still today many people prefer TouchID to FaceID. According to many rumours, Apple will TouchID back to iPhones in a future
@@Any4cards There is no way that APple will ever consider getting rid of Face ID and replace it with Touch ID. They might add an option to have a fingerprint scanner through the glass, but Face ID is extremely fast and reliable, and I love it. I would hate to going back to a fingerprint scanner. I have the new 13 pro, and face ID is lightning fast compared to even my old 12 pro. This was definitely the revolutionary change for iphone, although I didn't recognize it at the time. Deleting the home button, expanding the screen corner to corner, Face ID, and the overall build quality. The 11, 12, and now new 13 have all followed suit.

iPhone X was my first ever brand new smart phone. I remember watching this live with my sister and both of us just being in disbelief that apple pulled off a buttonless display that won't freeze or cause issues. I loved my 6s but I remember the feeling I had holding iPhone X for the first time. The weight of the phone, the smooth feeling glass, the cold steel on in the palm of my hand, It genuinely felt like it was worth $1000 and it was so incredibly special for the time. I got mine in silver instead of black like everyone else did. Ever since iPhone forever came out I've had that contract (or at least the equivalent from sprint after apple scrapped that idea) so I replace my phone every year because why not and I bet the 14 pro will be a good phone but nothing will ever feel as special as the X, it has been my all time favorite phone.

Watching on my iPhone 13 Pro Max. Upgraded from the iPhone X today. Bought it brand new in 2018, and it served me well for the last 3 years. Kept in case and I hope whoever gets it nexts enjoys it as much as I did.

Cole O'Driscoll eh it was a fail on stage but granted when you look at the reason it failed it kind of proves Face ID’s viability. It failed because while they were setting it up it tried to read to many unrecognized faces. So it locked its self out to a password use.

@@ghostlydash, how's that not true? Face ID works the same way Touch ID works on older iPhone. When the sensor sees unrecognized fingerprints the phone disables it's Touch ID function and the person is forced to use the Password / PIN. The only difference is Face ID needs your face and Touch ID needs your fingerprint to unlock the phone.

Memories when Apple still makes great innovations for the iPhone
they should stop releasing yearly in my opinion😢 it would be more exciting cause theres bigger changes, the iphone 13 and 14 look exactly the same
@@yuhhh951 it's not worth for them. By releasing one per year, they ensure that if customers need to change their iphone at a given moment (if it's broken, lost, stolen, or just too old) they can always have the option to get the latest and best iPhone (and not go to another brand).
As a customer, you are not forced to buy the brand new iPhone every year tho. Personnally I have my iPhone X since 5 years and I preordered the 14 pro, I can tell you the upgrade will be very noticeable for me.
iPhones support at minimum 6 years of software update which is huge, + given the fact that iPhone chips are in advance compared to other brand, your iPhone can hold the 6 years without any problem (maybe more) if you don't break it

Money is feedback. Apple listens to money. Now, by sharing my opinion on how overpriced and non-functional the iphone 11 is, I will hopefully discourage you and others from purchasing this model. That means less money for Apple, and hopefully they re-strategize and come back to the iphone 5/SE design and functionality, but improve on battery life and modernize the specs etc. Oh, and put the power button on the side. Compact, lightweight, touch ID, headphone jack is what I want in a new iphone. Do you not as well? They've kept the same great basic design for the macbook pro for almost 20 years. Why do they keep changing the design of the phones? Are our hands changing? How about our eyes? the 4/5/SE was the most perfect design for a phone and I want them to return to it.

Legendary. Still running this phone in 2023 and it has only now started to glitch on rare occasion. My battery capacity was still up at 90% a year and a half-ish ago, and is still at 82%. Love iPhone X
You liar. I also got the iPhone X and I had to change the battery already 3 years after purchased It. The current second battery is in 82% life

Only this year I've started to have issues, of which the most prominent is it has started to overheat when fast charging. Other than that I get some very very occasional lag in certain applications...but for the most part it's still very usable.

Not even much that's why is so unbelievable, even my friends who had an X switched to a 12/13 or replaced their battery. 6 years and at 82%? Never seen it before
Still love today my X with 256GB. Best and most beautiful phone since the original iPhone . It’s fast, I can still do all the things my wife do with her 13. I will use it as long as possible.

The iPhone X has the best looking camera design in my opinion. I never had one but feel the verticle camera cut out makes it look cleaner than seeing two camera lenses and the flash.

Ive used this phone since I preordered this phone almost 6 years ago. Now it's sad to say it's reaching the end of its tether. It's been amazing what this phone can do and has survived the test of time really well. Even now when browsing its still fast, watching videos, Spotify, flicking through photos, it's still amazing.
However now is the time to upgrade. In 2 weeks time I will move on to a 15 pro max. I think an upgrade in camera, 120hz refresh rate, usb c change and death of lightning, bigger screen, and no more software support will mean an upgrade is now important. Will miss the iPhone X a lot. From the original iPhone, to 5S, to X to 15 pro max. Will probably upgrade to the 20 year anniversary of the iPhone when that comes out in 2027!
I also came from the X to the iPhone 15 Pro Max. I got the X a little over a week after it came out. Tbh I was really disappointed with iOS when it first came out (I was coming from 6 years of different androids, before that I was a longtime iPod Touch user) soo buggy, soo much so that I seriously thought about returning it but decided, its just software and I know apple will iron them out and they did. Seriously ended up being the most reliable phone I have ever owned, and I went through A handful of Flagship androids.

This phone was revolutionary. I have had it for about 4 years now and still feel the the 13 is not worth the upgrade
The fact that they were able to make the notch 20% smaller on the 13 models m makes it the perfect size notch imo. I've had the X S Max, the 11 Pro Max, & now the 13 Pro Max. I think the the 13 Pro Max has the best notch size until the even smaller pill shaped Dynamic Island
The dynamic island is cool and all, but I think what’s becoming a bit of a turn off is while it’s less wider than the notch, it’s actually _lower_ than where the notch once was. This further extends the “dead space” apps have already optimized for. On some videos here, the island veeerrryyyy partially pokes out onto the video. I’m guessing with updates, the app will shift the video over to avoid it. But yeah, the notch has been accommodated before and now apps have to now optimize for the island.

ngl, the 13s got the best looking notch among all of them. the icons on top look more organized unlike the earlier iPhones with notch
Especially on the mini iPhones, the notch just looked ridiculous on the smaller screen of the 12 mini. My iPhone 13 mini is awesome.

I actually saw this presentation live way back in 2017…When they revealed the iPhone 8 & 8 Plus, I thought..there’s not much change between the previous year’s 7 & 7 Plus except the glass back for wireless charging and the then new A11 Bionic chip.
But when they immediately revealed the iPhone X…I was completely blown away.
original iPhone , iPhone 6, and iPhone 10 were the only actually leaps in iPhone history...Each product marked a well-defined change in apple history ...
