    I felt that deeply when you said "back when toner wasn't a thing" I totally remember never using toner 20 yrs ago

    • @jenniferjahns4006
      @jenniferjahns4006 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've only been doing it for 10 and toner wasn't a thing when I started. Also, I rarely even charge $100 for a full highlight service unless they have long or a lot of hair. I'm underserving myself and I know it, but I cannot fathom raising my price $15-20. I even think about quitting because of it.

    Hello, I find it easier when working on the hair line to put a little lighter on the foil first. It helps hold the hair in place like a glue when painting the lightener on😊

    For those warm ends all u had to do is tip out her ends. The hair that wasn’t foiled u tease them n balayage them in a foil. She would of been much blinder with more brightness on her ends

    This was great! Never would have thought to do 3n and then jump to 9v and 9p but that combo and already having the warmth in hair was pretty. P.s I never used to use a board but I love using it around hairline and face and for foilayage in general once u find your flow and rhythm it moves fast❤️

    • @KarleyDanielle
      @KarleyDanielle 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I like using my board then placing the foil. I never get bleeds or weird lines when I’m trying to work fast. Lol

    Love your videos, just discovered them today!!! I’m getting ready to attempt this with the highlights being a rose gold final color! The one thing I am curious on (I start cosmo school next month 😉 ) is how do you go about pulling the same pieces you lighten to color afterwards. Is it difficult ? Should I not be using dye for the rose gold application but use toner instead ?

    • @dawnbradley
      @dawnbradley  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Theres no way to pull the same piece but you can try to get as close as possible. You will learn so much in school! If you use demi color and the level is ligher than the natural it should only affect the hilights

    I do not use a foil board but before folding up your foil. Take the highest point of the foil and pull it up and to the head. Then I take my brush and feather it up so one side stays nice and secure 😌. Then fold it up. It is basically like moving the foul up a little so u don't get the line right at the top. Works perfect every time

    I do struggle with being a sloppy artist I’m so happy you’re so open and honest about it! Watching tutorials that ease the concerns IM thinking about really really helps especially coming from such an amazing stylist! (Also I fold my foils forwards, I don’t know why, it’s just how my hands do it haha. I’ve tried the opposite and just don’t like it as much. I find that I’m able to hold the foil closer to the scalp if I fold it forwards. That’s just me.)

    Also if u never want to worry about roots smudges learn to do diagonal forward fouls. It will look blended completely without the need of a root smudge. Then just do your faceframe separately
