I fold them just like you except around the hairline, I flip it to make it look like it's growing out bright blonde straight from the follicle.
And yes it makes sense lol, I'm commenting as I'm watching. It's a cohesive blend from front to back. Instead of bleached, shotty or awkward stand alone pieces in the front with no movement.
That clay lightener is so satisfying to watch you apply! You could film an ASMR video and get millions of viewers lol

I’m graduating soon, any tips and tricks on how to remember the color wheel I’m scared to go out there and not knowing enough..
I still keep a color wheel tapped inside my color cupboard , for me having a visual to refer to still helps 20 years later

I use a board (piece of Formica) and fold underneath. I can get highlights RIGHT to the scalp with NO bleeding! I use my chest to keep the board steady, left hand keep the hair tight, and right hand to apply lightener! 😂
