Thank you....I feel exactly the same way about the root growth line . So don't go allthe way to the root with the bleach, just Balayage it.?? Hope I got that right !!
I am a licensed hairdresser turned nurse. Comparing myself to your mom, my front is much whiter. So should I shadow root the front some? Should I bleach out and then tone the roots darker than the back? Cant find a good colorist in Modesto Ca-so im left to do it myself.

Great video and technique! I just wish my sparkle gals were that light, mine all seem to be level 5 and lower... not sure this would work for them AND not leave them in that orangey stage. 😒

What about a client who before going totally gray was a natural level 3 - the gray is the combo; mostly steel gray and some white hair, what is the highest level of lift she could get using this method? Would I be able to use this method to give her a gray blend using a honey blonde toner? Like in the tonal family of level 8 or 9 ?
Yes for sure! Evaluate their hair first of course as everyones hair lifts differently. This method is alot more gentle on the hair which means it lifts slower. You may need to do two round to get the lift you want.
Hi DawnI am growing out my grey so I had a hair lighting bleach highlights which was done on my old color to blend on my pepper hair and now it has grown out the highlights so it kinda looks like a bayalage my question I want my highlights darker to blend with my pepper hair can you tell what I can do ?
Yes, I'm a potential balayage client looking at possibilities. I have highlights now but it bothers me that the under layer in the back is still much darker. I was hoping balayage might better blend dark/grey rather than accentuate it.
It turned out beautiful! I’m a salt and pepper, grew it out a few years ago, and while the color is fine, it ages me. I stand out as an old lady, and I’m only 60. Not young, but my older sister keeps her hair dark auburn and long, and recently I was mistaken for her mother when we were shopping together 😢

Depending on how their hair lifts you are right but being a natural 5 they may not want to be this light anyway? Play around for sure and have fun!

Can you used a regular bleach instead of clay bleach.
Color is great but my option you should have done occipital and nape area. Gray nape color was too much of a contrast with the golden blonde.

I think a pearl tone it will better and elegant on her

Some times just salt and pepper makes a middle or mature woman look older. It was the right choice. An ashy toner would a have been better
