WARNING: THIS VIDEO IS ONLY FOR PEOPLE EXPERIENCED WITH PCB EPROM HACKING.
If you're an automotive technician, you probably won't have the knowledge required either. Go find yourself an IT Technician, or someone that's familiar with building and writing code for Arduino's and Raspberry Pi's. Those people know everything required for this type of procedure.
The video is actually very informative, if you're already familiar with the technology, and doesn't deserve any of the hate it's getting in the comments. These people are just dumb, entitled, and think that every tutorial video has to cater to their level of stupidity.

Are you able to open ecu and swap your original chip. Involves desoldering and solder the original back into the used ecu.. if you have access to a good scanner like topdon pheonix you may be able to code it

My neighbour had an immobilizer in her car from the dealership. She missed a payment and they shut her car down. I just went under the steering column, found it and unplugged it then jumped the relay plug with a wire. It started right up with the key lol

not with newer model cars, i would think.
I would think they will immobilize other stuff as well. So like the fuel pump.

@@bertjesklotepino no, where did I say that?
There’s a difference between an immobilizer and anti theft lol
Immobilizer turns off the fuel pumps and or ignition with a relay. Anti theft stops you from stealing the car without the proper prerequisites ie key and transponder
Bypassing the relay by unplugging it and bridging the proper connection negates an immobilizer. For anti theft, you need to clone said key and signal or remove the ecu and pcm and reprogram them to not accept codes

This is a very bad video for a non-technician that does not already know which pins to connect to and the procedure to connecty to your PC and what program to use in the computer. I give this a full grade of "F" for a waste of time to watch. This video is useless.

If you aren't already familiar with extracting data from an EPROM, then this is going to be FAR too technical for you to learn, just for the sake of one car. I mean, you would need 100+ hours of college level training, just to have a BASIC understanding of what's required to do this job. If you make $15hr at your normie job, that's $1500 of your time. You could have the dealership replace your entire keyset, ecu, immobilizer, and have them programmed for that much money.
I'm giving your comment an F for failure to recognize your own skill issues.

In cases where the ecu needs to be replaced for non immobilizer issues why not just solder the original immobilizer chip into the replacement ecu. Then the car will start with original keys?

ok., where to start. first of all, i am a factory-trained and experienced master technician who specializes in repairing immobilizer faults.t
This is soo misleading. Even master techs in a shop wouldn't be able to make this work like this. They make it sound like this is how they all work exactly and it's not true. Every model and every make is going to have different circuitry and pin locations/values. so you would have to be a computer repair expert with specialized knowledge on that particular vehicle and part. not only that, but not all keys program that way. in fact only the older ones. more modern ones require the vehicle to be connected to software that reads and writes the values. It is all password and encrypted protected and very sensitive to the slightest variation. There is no way you are going to do this and be successful on your vehicle. Unfortunately manufacturers keep that info locked up tight and the equipment needed is very expensive.

Funny how you admit that you don't have the knowledge to perform this modification, then go on to say "It can't be done this way".
How the fuck would you know?
"It is all password and encrypted protected and very sensitive to the slightest variation"
Your phone has far superior encryption to the 20 year old technology used in automotive ECUs, but I can bypass that just as easily, using this same method. You already said you didn't know how to do it, so why are you trying to "educate" people on something you CLEARLY know nothing about?
