The programming process can be completed in under 15 minutes for most vehicles provided you have 1 working key - it does not require a working keyless entry remote fob. Before programming, get the provided key cut at a locksmith, hardware store, dealership, or other location that can cut keys. The instruction manual provides step-by-step instructions. Note that on many vehicles the key chip to start the ignition/engine is programmed separately from the buttons that lock/unlock the doors.

I bought one for my 2013 F150 and it work just like the video explaining the process. The hardest thing for me was not with the kit itself but getting the key cut. Just as a tip the places that sell all the remotes and keys will do it no questions asked. Thank you and it sure saved me about half the cost quoted at the dealership.

Purchased a used 2013 Ford F150 that only came with one key. I was able to buy this kit plus an extra key for almost half of what a Ford dealer wanted to charge to create one key. Customer service was very responsive to my inquiries and though it wasn't needed I felt tech support was there if I had issues. Highly recommend this product over paying a dealership their high prices. Plus, the programmer can program up to 4 keys, so I have the option of buying two more extra keys and programming with the same kit, if the need arises.
I only received 1 key when I purchased my 2014 Ford Escape SE and it's not listed in the book! This key didn't even come with the alarm pad. I had to look up the manufacture code to work the keyless entry, they gave me the bare minimum

The programming of buttons didn't work for me. I turned it on 8 times in 10 seconds, but it did not cycle its locks in response.

Hi, I’m looking to purchase the programmer. Is it possible to program other “ford” keys instead of the ones straight from you guys. Just curious as I’d like to buy the same style fob as mine (2010 escape) whereas the fob listed on the website is the newer style one.

I have a 2008 Mercury Mariner Premier that has a single key without buttons and a single remote. I need to have a spare bit notice I am supposed to have a key with buttons on it. Will this work for me?

I bought a 2011 Ford Escape has the my key feature active. The key I have is a standard key with no key fob buttons. Will this programmer work to connect the new key and program the key fob buttons. Would hate to buy it cut the key and it not work. Thanks for your time!

I got one for my 15 f350. Everything works perfect except the remote start. When I do the remote start process on new keys the starter button acts like a lock button locking the doors and honking horn (factory keys doesn't do this) then starts the truck. And I can NOT de activate (kill the truck) with the new remote like u can on factory remote. It's just acts like a lock button. Did I miss something?
Please contact the toll free technical support number from instruction manual. I presume your factory original remote had remote start function? The kit can not add features that were not factory original.
@@TomahawkDIY correct it does have the factory remote start. And it DOES start the truck. Just doesn't have the same procedure to start and can't shut the truck off with it. And I will call tomorrow or when I am able. It's not a huge problem. Just an annoyance

I went to the website and this will not work for a 1st gen Ford Escape. Only 2008 and up.

You need one working key that starts the vehicle. Use our kit to make a 2nd (or 3rd or 4th) key for your vehicle
Actually, I realize you might be asking if you can buy just the programmer by itself and not the programmer with one key. No, it is a set - one key and one programmer in the box. You can buy extra keys and then use the programmer again on the same vehicle to make more spare keys
