Thank u so much for making this video. I am 7 wpo and had a laparoscopic hysterectomy and excision of stage 4 endo. I feel like I can't get past walking and I was VERY physically fit before surgery..lifting and cardio everyday..very discouraging for me. I expected more from my body at this point. Your videos are helping me mentally so much right now. Thank u 1000% times.

Sooo much better ! I just took a long time to heal , had a lot done in there. I’m running , playing pickleball , lifting weights….back to normal but it’s always in the back of my mind and I’m more conscious of my pelvic floor now . Thank you for asking 😊

You are a Godsend 🙏🏻!! Just had my hysterectomy 2 weeks ago tomorrow and endo sufferer as well. One of my biggest fears was if I’d gain a bunch of weight after the hysterectomy, usually very active prior to surgery (HIIT and weight lifting). Your videos and content give me such hope and some positivity. Can’t wait to get the green light from the doc, but will be checking out your 10 week plan to build up. Thank you 💛💛

I had my surgery now 10weeks now thankfully my surgery has changed my life. 🙏🏼 amazing doctor I had this time around. But last night I decide to do lunges and I think I did them to fast I felt a pain so I stopped. I now feel soreness and some pain like back in forth nerve pain or Some thing hard to explain. I called my doctors office they did tell me it’s normal but now am worried. I will have to take easier.

Thank you so much. I had a full hysterectomy due to stage 4 ovarian cancer and I still don't know what I am doing wrong or not. Thank you for clarifying so many of my questions. Doctors can be so vague. I will share your video with my ovarian cancer friends. Thank you!!

I agree..dr. can be vague. I too stage 4 ovarian cancer and now middle 3rd wk recovery from full abdominal hysterectomy long line of stitches but thank God everything going in positive direction yet worry should I be doing positive exercises, why still lower sharp pain at times otherwise walking, moving around ok but not aggressive stuff. I wish you complete healing especially damn cancer. Trust me it does get old. Keep fighting girl!

Thank you this. I had fibroids, adenomyosis and endometriosis causing anemia for many years and was just prescribed antidepressants. I just went back to work after 6 and a half weeks laparoscopic hysterectomy. After four days of work I feel abdominal pain and am so worried. Watching your video has reassured me. I did the opposite of what you said. And I hope it’s just soreness. I see my doc tomorrow. But what stayed in mind from my first postop visit was resume normal activity. I went from doing nothing for 6 weeks to my normal activity at work. I lifted 30lb bricks of butter 50lbs bags of flour and jugs of oil in excess of 35lbs. I wore a back brace and was mindful of core but the pain after the 3 days had me going home at lunch on the fourth day. Your video is so informative and I can see better how we need to be our own advisor in a way. Each person is different. Doctors can’t possibly cover all areas of lifestyle and work life. We need to be cautious and let ourselves heal and build back up at our own pace. Maybe I won’t be the baker I used to be. I am seeing that now. Thanks again for helping so many women in an area that is so important! This surgery is very common. Why are we left in the dark like this? You are an angel.

This is so encouraging. I am 2wpo and son stuff but terrified to move, and also feeling the weight of the long journey ahead. I found most helpful your philosophy to not go from 0-60. The thought of doing nothing for 8 weeks, then doing all the things, didn't feel right to me, but I am completely clueless about any of this.

I am 1 week post vaginal hysterectomy and rectocele prolapse repair. I am feeling pretty good. I am in very little discomfort. I was expecting to be in much pain at this point. But actually feel like I can go for a brisk walk. But I don't want to move too fast and mess things up. I also want to lose weight and feel like I want to be moving more and lose some lbs before going back to work in a few weeks. Idk what exercising is too much or too little since I am feeling fine.

I had a total hysterectomy surgically, not laparoscopic. I was told it was 95% positive I was full of cancer. I do not have cancer, thank God, but my belly is still bloated and I want to exercise that off. I have a wedding at the end of Oct. I looked bloated and need to get rid of that blubber!

I had a radical hysterectomy through laparotomy and WOULD LOVE to follow my doctor's directions, if they were clear. Physio in hospital told me I could go back to normal life after 6 weeks. I waited over 8. Then 16 weeks later, finally settled in the gym, at my check up the consultant tells me I shouldn't be lifting cause I risk hernia and not to do abs. Then another physio tells me I should be able to lift everything, but perhaps don't do leg press as my organs might prolapse. Now I'm sad and depressed because I have no clear instructions and not sure whether I should work out or not. It's already hard enough.

I really appreciate these videos, you mentioned carrying your kids around. My total hysterectomy (vaginal with lyprosopic assist) is in 2 1/2 weeks. How did it work or what did it look like when you got home post op? I’m worried about my kids trying to cuddle and climbing on me. I don’t want her to think mommy doesn’t want to hold her or cuddle. She just turned 3. I have 2 older boys and my husband is taking 2 weeks off. Thank you

    Did you??
I AM WEARING PROLAPSE SUPPORT PANTS when I am up and around if I dont wear them I feel like the prolapses will fall out again.
Should I be taking things much slower or trying to build up strength with walking??
I just don't know which will help me most. rest or movement right now.

is there anything that shortens recovery?
thank you so much for sharing this 💜 helpful info as a 26 year old who really values physical strength and sport, but considering hysterectomy for endo
the idea of not being able to do my favourite sports for an extended period of time and rebuilding from such a low level is daunting... i live alone and whilst i'd obviously stay with family for the initial recovery, i'm struggling to imagine navigating extended recovery without my primary sports (all include being able to hold my entirely body weight), and without the strength to do normal heavy daily tasks

I am Scheduled for Jan 31st for uterus and cervix hysterectomy cuz of prolapse. It happen after my second pregnancy and I still had a third but it has gotten a lot worst. I am scared they tried to repair it back in August to stitch up and it fell back down in 2 months . I am scared to do this but I have been suffering for 7 years with this prolapse I thought it would get better but it hasn’t. I also have a 2 year and it was hard to not carry for 6 weeks when I had the last surgery but my cervix is almost 1 inch out at times. 😢

Hmm, I had a c section at 41 and my son was almost 9 lbs.
    I lifted him constantly!! lol
ANYWAY..I’m getting a vaginal robotic hysterectomy next week, I’ll be 60 next month.
I’m in good shape, I dead lifted 90lbs last week, I work out regularly. Yoga, light jogging, lifting. Plyometrics at my age keeps the menopause chubs away!!
I like to do a stretching routine in an infrared sauna a few times a week.
*I am a newly retired personal trainer.
Not lifting 10lbs for 10 weeks seems ridiculous. Slow jogging, I love it, I don’t get waiting a damn year!!?
Ab work I understand, it took me a year before I could do a push up after having my son 19 years ago because of my Abs.
I am devastated that my fitness will be seriously harmed. I am worried about muscle wasting at my age. And fat gain.
Any hope? Can someone at my age, who is in pretty good shape get back to things sooner than the eternity you speak of??
Less muscle, less strength, less lifespan.
