Great content and episode as ever! It’s just my opinion but I honestly find multiple names for a way of eating could muddy the waters a little and make the process of moving over to a plant based diet more confusing than it needs to be. I’m an ethical vegan with an interest in healthy eating. I understand what a vegan diet is and I understand the need for the term ‘plant based’ for people eating a vegan diet but not necessarily following other vegan ethical principles. But do we need other terms now like ‘plant-forward’ or ‘plant-centric’? Plantstrong works because it’s a brand! 😉👍
I have found colleagues, friends, and family are more receptive to terminology such as plant- based or plant forward rather than the term vegan. For whatever reason people are offended by the word “vegan”. Silly, I know! Because of this, I think using different wording helps to move the needle toward this lifestyle. Plus, we know veganism is a lot more than diet…😊
This is awesome. But, not to mention, what's the trade off between those minimal amounts of polyphenols and antioxidants vs the negative consequences of consuming the oils in the first place. It's kind of like saying "well, Mrs. Lincoln, other than THAT, how'd you like the play!"
She is awesome! Loved this interview.
The title of this episode brought a smile to my face.
Great interview. as far as the study goes mixed results at best.
❤I let it go a few years ago
