He wasn't completely broke. Nothing personal at all I was just saying however I do not think he was recognized as what a beautiful voice he had and I love the song outlaw's prayer Very sad that people recognize someone this talented after they pass away although I was blessed to see him in concert I have chaperones and I was underage jailbreak but it was a really good show. It was in Panama City Beach. Add a pub and restaurant called the Beach Party.
My father was a musician in the 50’s. He died when I was 8, 32 long years ago. I remember him driving his old Cadillac Seville and singing along to all the country greats. One of the few songs I vividly remember him sing was an old Johnny Paycheck song called- Pardon Me I’ve Got Someone to Kill. Greg review this song and you’ll understand why Johnny was so loved. Old Violin is his goodbye. Pardon Me was him explaining what it feels like to have your love cheat and leave you.
I Love your reactions!!! You keep such an open mind no matter what the song is. And your interpretations are so intuitive and accurate. This is one of my favorite Johnny Paycheck songs. One of the loneliest sounding songs ever. But if you want to switch it up a little, I agree with the others who have suggested "Take This Job and Shove It". I think it will put a smile on your face.
This song never fails to bring me to tears. I remember when it came out, knowing the hell Johnny was going through... and now knowing how it was at the end of his life. This is what real country music is about. Today's wannabes don't have a clue.

He came out with this song after being sick and released from prison for shooting a guy. He was a true outlaw. He died broke and George Jones paid for his funeral.
Hello first of all I subscribe to your channel because you weren't full of profanity or anything like that that was important to me. Secondly my Daddy love this song and I have a picture of an Old Violin 🎻 hanging in my bedroom and every time I see it I think of my Daddy thank you for this beautiful song. And thank you for being cool with your language😊
I have never heard this song before. I have a song about an old violin on a CD and I thought this video might have been the original of the one I knew. This guy's voice sounds very familiar to me. I loved your analysis of the .meaning of the words. It is one of those songs , that really makes you think. Embrace every day everyone. That is what life is all about. Thank you for reacting to this tonight. ☺✌
For a man this is the hardest thing to deal with. You work all your life and there comes a point where nobody's ever asking you to help them again. No one is ever asking you think. You start to feel left behind. Yeah sometimes I feel like that Old violin.
Ol Johnny died penniless. George Jones stepped up and paid for a proper funeral. Lots of country stars attended to pay their respects…he was a legend.
