    Great review, perfect pronunciation of Corgeut, would love for you to get the Phylida version of the Aqua Terra and do a comparison video.

    I'd argue the Phylida Aqua Terra homage is a better watch. Domed sapphire and an NH35. However, the Corgeut bracelet is better due to the inverted endlinks. The bracelets between the Corgeut and Phylida are interchangeable, so I swapped the bracelet from a Corgeut Railmaster to the Phylida as there's no polished midlinks, so looks much better. I really wish they would do a 38mm version though.

      Wow, this is interesting, I have the Corgeut Railmaster which I love, but put it on a leather strap. I may get the Phylida and put the Corgeut strap on it. Thanks!

    I have one of these on the leather strap with deployant clasp and Seagull movement. I'm still really liking it. Nice review mate.

      Still have it?

    It's worth adding that the 2mm bracelet taper is Omega standard, except on the Seamaster which doesn't taper. So the very slight taper is accurate to the original!

    I have this in blue on the bracelet (seagull movement) and love it.

    It also looks amazing on a light brown leather strap!

      It does too, I'm pretty sure Corgeut sells it on a light brown leather strap. Thanks for watching! 🙂👍

    I have the white dial version, but man, do I wish it was a tad bit smaller.. a 38/39 would be amazing!

    I have 2, the black dial and the rail master homage. Both with seagull movements, both reliable and accurate over the last year. No issues at all. Great watches for the money.

    Looks like a clean and classic looker.. I don’t have any “strong” feelings about this one. Great review as always!🔥

    This is a good watch. I’ve owned it for six months and have the Chinese movement which is accurate. I would recommend it, a lot of watch for the money, it looks way more expensive than it is.

    You pay your money and take your choice, Cadisen, Starking etc. I have a dozen or so of these Ali homages and this is another I shall add to my collection. You cannot buy the Miyota 8215 movement for less than $50, add in the price of a luminescent dial, ( even if the chemical is of cheaper compound obviously ), let us not forget the cost of replacement sapphire glassware - stainless case, strap and let's not forget the box it arrived in..... honestly, is it fair to nitpick to much when we see the inflated costs of our high Street retailers offering timepieces with a $2 quartz movement at double the price plus. Marvellous videos by the way, keep them coming.

    Great review, not my kind of watch though. Just got my Orange and Black Merkur Divemaster and I love it. Would love to see you do a review of the Merkur divemaster. Look forward to watching more of your watch review videos.

      Thanks for watching! 🙂👍 Merkur is a good brand, I reviewed their mechanical Chronograph recently - quite impressive 🙂

    Chronograph...
    ...in my experience, any and all of the well known automatic movements can be regulated to COSC accuracy.

    On AliExpress the seconds hand appears to be a brilliant yellow but in your video the colour is more subtle. How does it appear in person? Thank you.

    • @ShinyThings
      @ShinyThings  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @Chris DeVarenne, the seconds hand color is more subtle metallic yellow, at some viewing angles can look a bit brighter yellow and at some angles even almost like stainless steel. Hope this helps and thanks for watching! 🙂👍

    Great video my friend and thanks for the heads up 😀 . That is a good-looking watch and I'll have to add it to my bucket list to replace some of the ones that my ex recently ran off with 🙄 ..

    Well a chronometer is a device that tells time, a cosc certified chronometer is another thing, but they aren’t claiming that, although I see what they’re doing 😉

    Which AT homage is better this Corgeut or the pagani design pd1688 ?

  • @petergoldie4078
    @petergoldie4078 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I see Corgeut are now giving the option of a NH35 movement. Guess they were losing sales to Phylida. The Corgeut bracelet is better. May tip the scales back to Corgeut as the Phylida bracelet is a shocker IMO.

    i never know what is so great about Aqua Terra.... i think it is subjective but really i don't like most of Omega designs after 1980s... omega constellation from the 1950s /1960s are the best in my opinion. most modern omega design are quite rubbish apart from the moon watch
