Thanks for taking 22 minutes to watch this restoration. I enjoyed working on this project, and I hope you enjoyed following along. Your support and feedback always mean a lot-thank you! I would also like to thank Alex for sending me the watch and entrusting it to me. I hope you enjoy it 😀
I rarely see a Rolex I would wear, and rarely see an Omega that I would not wear. This is a beautiful restoration. The owner will be able to pass it down to his/her grandchild.
I know what you mean. Have your seen some Rolexs from the 60's. They are so classy unlike Rolex's modern offerings which although expensive look cheap.
New subscriber here, and all I can say is WOW! Knowledge, patience, and attention to detail is amazing! I have loved Watches since I was 21. I am now 74 and have a 1958 Rolex that was my grandfather’s, it was completely serviced by Rolex years ago. Now that we have TH-cam I really get an idea of just what is involved. Great video!
That’s some amazing skill and a super cool cleaning robot. I would prefer the original crown as that (to me) is the real link to the past - the closest one can come to connecting with a deceased relative, my fingers and their fingers working against time. IMO - that’s the beauty of inheritance of watches. But maybe I’m just sappy!!
Totally gobsmacked by the craftsmanship in restoring this lovely watch. I have an Omega Constellation, my father’s, that was restored by Omega. Now I know just what was involved.
This's the first time, for me, I watch a...watch restoration, plaiyng with words. Sometime happened I saw an opened watch and I always asked to myself how it could be possible to work, disassemble and re-assemble a such mechanism built with so small components. Now I know! Thanks a lot!!😊😊
New subscriber here. Thanks for the video, you have nice equipment, and your work is so clean, just beautiful. I wear an identical 1965 steel Omega Seamaster every day since I bought it at an auction 15 years ago. I've had it serviced twice since then and it just keeps on working perfectly. What an incredible little mechanical wonder it is.
I inherited a very similar Seamaster from my grandfather, same design but with gold dial and case. That watch started the tradition to gift a Seamaster when we turn 18 in my family. Thanks for sharing this beautiful restoration and bringing back some good memories. ❤
Fabulous camera work. It’s almost hard to remember how small the watch actually is. It’s really funny like that. After watching a few of these, with the great magnification and camera work, watches look “small”. Ha!
Just goes to show how skilled people were in those days and if it wasn't for the likes of Red Dead Restoration we would never know, thanks for sharing this
It amazed me just how nice the internals were, considering how awful the external parts were. Really excellent restoration and you have some serious skills there.
A beautiful restoration to a great looking time piece. From start to finish, it turned out fantastically. buffed up nicely and the new strap sets it off splendidly.. Kudos to your craftsmanship..
Yet another great video, thanks, I still have my Dad's Omega which looks almost identical but it's a Seamaster De Ville automatic, it has a steel strap which doesn't fit properly, so I'm thinking now it should have a leather one, thanks again.
I have a very similar Seamaster. Serial no dated to 1961, with gold hands and hour markers, plus the word "calendar" below "Seamaster". A lovely watch!
Felicidades y muchas gracias!!!
Same exxact watch what I got from my late great grandfather. I had it restored. Lovely vintage watch. Will be a collectors item some day. Maybe even today. Cheers from Finland.
Love your videos, so calming and professional. Also, I love watching to see what socks you have on! Love the Santa socks!🥰🤗 I’m drawn to the more classic watches, the style never goes out fashion.
That was a worthwhile restoration and nice to see you were able to get hold of original replacement parts instead of reproduction parts. I am always curious about how much work goes into making these videos and tried to count the different camera angles and shots but then I realised it would be impossible due to the sheer number of editing cuts ! I'm pretty sure you must spend a lot more time putting the video together than it takes to restore the watches you work on, that is a lot of painstaking work ! Well worth the effort though !
My sister in laws Aunt worked for Omega in Manhattan ..since my sis in law was her favorite and Essie has since passed. My sis in law has over 20 vintage Watches. I've seen them. They are beautiful
Nice. Thanks for sharing your knowledge, appreciate the effort to make it interesting, accessible, and beautiful. Very satisfying work, and you have the skills to make it look easy.
That is a nice 6000$ ish cleaning gadget you have there 😉 I love it ! Professional masters at work deserve the top of the shelf equipment.. Enough Said said about that.. Fenomenal restoration! The watch turned out perfect! A very nice watch 😊
Thanks for taking 22 minutes to watch this restoration. I enjoyed working on this project, and I hope you enjoyed following along. Your support and feedback always mean a lot-thank you! I would also like to thank Alex for sending me the watch and entrusting it to me. I hope you enjoy it 😀
Thank you for sharing your craft. Your videos are always a pleasure to watch.
I do love watching your videos. I find the relaxing especially after a hard day. 😀👍
11 minutes at 2x ... love your work!
Thank you for creating a good quality video!
Not only does the owner get his watch restored to perfection, he gets a really cool video of the whole restoration process out of it, as well. 😃
Watching this, makes me really miss my father, he supported our family by being a watch repairman
No accompanying music, that alone is worth a thumbs-up. Great restoration, thanks.
Absolutely stunning! Omega has been my favorite watch brand for a long time!
Omega builds truly fantastic watches, then and now
I have almost the same watch from my year of birth (early 60ies). It is in perfect condition and I simply love that watch!
So therapeutic and serene I almost fell asleep twice to just the tinkering and ticking sounds! As always, amazing work!
Thanks 😊
I rarely see a Rolex I would wear, and rarely see an Omega that I would not wear. This is a beautiful restoration. The owner will be able to pass it down to his/her grandchild.
I agree 👍🏻
I feel the same way.
I know what you mean. Have your seen some Rolexs from the 60's. They are so classy unlike Rolex's modern offerings which although expensive look cheap.
Wow, I have had new lenses, maybe you need the same?😊
I have this very same watch. My father bought it in 1963. Beautiful watch. Nice to see it getting a renewed lease of life.😊

That restoration turned out wonderfully!! A joy to follow along as you save this old watch.
Wow, I just absolutely love to watch a highly skilled professional at work. Amazing.

The level of engineering that goes into this is mindblowing.
Excellent video - Merry Christmas!
Thanks 👌 merry christmas to you too 😉
Thanks Bos

In a few years nobody would be able to do your work, it´s not easy. I applaud you.
I doubt it. Will persist as an eccentric hobby. Though knowledge of 60-70s calibers would fade away.
Got to see the Flux Capacitor again !!!!! Yay ! Watch is beautiful...again !!! Well done !
This one’s good for another century or so now….beautiful work.
"Wow!" I think I said it more than 20x while watching this video! 4 thumbs up!!!
Masterful work. Utterly stunning result. Thank you for producing the video - excellent camera work.
Thanks you 😉👍
This is simply art!!!!
Amazing video and transformation! What a beautiful watch this is! I also use my grandfather's old automatic watch and it felt awesome to see this.
The man is an artist

Since I have all this equipment in the basement, I'm considering giving watch restoration a shot! This was great to watch. Thank you
After subbing awhile ago, and bingeing years of videos, I’m finally watching a “recent” video! Your videos have only gotten better! Cheers!
I inherited a very similar Seamaster from my grandfather, same design but with gold dial and case.

Thanks for sharing this beautiful restoration and bringing back some good memories. ❤
Glad you liked it 😊

Beautiful work! The transformation on the case back was really impressive!!
I actually applauded silently that part myself.

It amazed me just how nice the internals were, considering how awful the external parts were. Really excellent restoration and you have some serious skills there.
My father owned a watch like this, but it was golden, not plain. As I see it, such a product can only be crafted with passion.
People from Poland love this!
God bless and keep all people from Poland!
A beautiful restoration to a great looking time piece. From start to finish, it turned out fantastically. buffed up nicely and the new strap sets it off splendidly.. Kudos to your craftsmanship..

Amazing work, it's like seeing history reborn! 🕰️
I have the same watch. And my crown and stem is broken. It was my fathers watch. Need to get it fixed. Great work !
I never get bored watching your videos.
I picked up an Omega Maison Fondee 1848 at an incredible price. Love it.
I have a very similar Seamaster. Serial no dated to 1961, with gold hands and hour markers, plus the word "calendar" below "Seamaster". A lovely watch!
Same as mine, which used to belong to my father.
I’m utterly in awe. Most enjoyable and you sir, are a genius.

Impeccable Restoration.
My favourite videos on TH-cam. So satisfying and interesting. The skills.
❤️👍
So enjoyable to watch a professional at work restoring a watch that most folks would have advised to discard.
That was a worthwhile restoration and nice to see you were able to get hold of original replacement parts instead of reproduction parts.
