It’s a shame that the blasted Phylida bracelet is so stiff, it looks great! Liked the Phylida AT homage so much that I bought three! (Green, black ,and white)👌
First time watching your video, immediately subscribed ! Love this video about Phylida watches. I bought a Phylida AT homage in black dial recently; older model with vertical stripes. I found the butterfly clasp to be not as well machined as you've mentioned, and also the crown operation isn't very smooth. I haven't seen all your videos & updates yet - but I hope you've given feedback to Phylida & obtain their comments so that they can improve on their bracelets etc. Their watch case & dial finish is very good, it's a shame if the bracelets & clasp are not up to the acceptable quality. I'd certainly consider buying more Phylida if they sort out these issues.
I have 3 of aqua terra homages and just ordered last week the green dialed version. I haven’t had the issues with the bracelet you are having. I did have an issue with one of the screws on the bracelet of one of them. It was tuff to get our but was ultimately successful. I also have the Phylida 50 fathoms. I really think the Phylida watches are a better quality than the Bligers and Corgeut, which I have quite a few of...
I'm beginning to think the same, thanks for sharing your experience with phylida helps build a bigger picture for others thinking of pulling the trigger 🤙🏻
I had same issue with my Phylida bracelet, but just let it soak in WD40 over night, for claening off rust, machining bits and dirt. Afterwards clean with soap and let it soak in babyoil for a day (good for the skin as well😊). That should do the trick.

my review of them are pretty much spot on to what you are saying. Bracelets are OK, heads are pretty awesome. and I have the SAME issue with the clasp. one side is super stiff, the other is as it should be....so this is not a QC issue but rather a manufacturing defect.
Those are solid bracelet links, right? If it's an issue about the "finishing of the product" -as one could expect in the sandblasted version- perhaps with normal use the bracelet will, eventually, get more comfortable, just like a new pair of shoes. As long as the bracelet itself is sturdy -quality of materials- I would give it a shot.

@@gilbertoflores7397 I think I would need a new movement holder, hands, and dial as I’m sure the dimensions would be too different. By then I’ve spent enough to get a Phylida. So I may keep it for a future project but I’ll probably just replace it for now. It’s a fun idea to swap it though.
You can swap it with a Miyota or another sea-gull with no problem. The NH is wider (with the plastic dial holder almost +4mm) and thinner. OK, it's -.2mm so probably not an issue although the stem moves .6mm closer to the dial. If you cut the feet and use dial dots the date window is within .15mm so you can reuse that. And hey, the hour hand is +/- in spec between the movements so all you need is a minute and a second. I'm not sure where you would go to only buy two hands but it's something.
most bracelets from Ali express that come with the watch are not great. Order it with a nato or leather strap if possible and change it to your liking!
Hi Oscar! OK, when a bracelet is bent, it's probably a basket case. But can you imagine the other ones will loosen up over time? The AquaTerra is beautiful, but I prefer ky brushed Corgeut Railmaster homage to the beadblasted. But a well done 1st impressions video👍

The bracelet can be a weak point on some of the Chinese homage watches. I bought a Steeldive Captain Willard, just binned the bracelet and put it on a rubber strap.
Hopefully the bracelets will loosen up over time the more you wear them.
These braces. R. Going to loosen for sure. However having stiff one is way better than having a wobbling one.

i hope they are working on putting micro adjustment on their bracelet. then it would be perfect and we can pick it up.

@@chrisk6309 well you could buy a new movement, a nh35 for like 26 bucks and swap it out. Get something pretty reliable.
