  • How is the fighter Hal Tejas? If you want to discover all the details about the fighter that nobody wants to buy, do not miss this video!
    --------------------------------------------
    Something curious happens with the HAL Tejas, the combat ship produced by India. Although several countries have shown interest in buying the plane introduced in 2015, no transaction has yet been finalized. The strangest thing is that its Chinese-Pakistani counterpart, the JF-17 Thunder, has already found three international buyers, in addition to several interested parties, such as Argentina or Iran.

    The most important reason why Tejas is not a "safe" for some countries to purchase is because there are components used in the Tejas which are not "Indian origin", which makes the purchaser worry that if they are sanctioned by the IP-owner country of the said component, they might not be able to get the components in the event of repairs or maintenance.
    TBH, it has nothing due to geo-politics correctness, as some suggested in the comments.

However, even if the F35 were to have a part made in China, it is still not IP-owned by China. So, not it will never face the danger that the part will be unavailable, unlike the case of India. As India does not owned the IPs of those parts bought from UK, France or US, or Russia. For just one simple example, the ejection seat of all Hal's planes of every model is licensed from BAE. India did not design many parts of her military planes. They are mostly either entirely foreign manufactured, or foreign licensed but made locally in India.

    Another potential issue going against the Tejas is after sales spares and technical support. Uttam AESA Gen 3 Phased Array, Stealth coatings, Holographic HUD... and interoperable hard points to carry the full ASTRA, Brahmos, US, Israeli and Russian missiles.... The Aircraft is a highly potent Gen 4.5 fighter. In fact HAL should not export it at all. The Indian Air Force and Navy are massive operators and network centric warfare will work in India's favor. All at half the price of an IKEA build. After a few years of patrolling and combat experience in the Himalayas and AOR, these will be battle hardened like the F-16. It is common sense that no one would buy an aircraft that is never used. We must order a large quantity (at least 4 squadrons) of Tejas Mark 2s in the air force and produce most parts endogenously. Also, should consider hiring strong manufacturing engineers based on merit (or may be outsourcing it if people quotas are affecting quality).
    Once we streamline our manufacturing and consume them in large numbers (and making spares), it wouldn't be that hard to find buyers (or make profit). At this point, it is a waste of time worrying about foreign buyers.

      No it's not Malaysia loss but it's not malaysia gain either.. If you read the statement of Royal Malaysian Airforce chief on selecting Korean Ka50 over Tejas where he clearly indicated & pointed out that just mearly on technological/ capabilities ground Tejas is fard ahead of it's competitorr especially Ka50 as Tejas was providing the options of being the only fighters jet which can be integrated with both western & Russian armaments which no other platform can provide this option along with indian made advanced armaments in the class of Astra 1 & 2 BVR air to Air missiles equipment to American AMRAAM missile & Russian R77 but in range Astra 2 exceeded the range of all comparable missiles in the same class like US amraam Russian R77 French Mica Israeli Derby ER, missiles along with that india was offering Malaysian with world fastest cruise missile Bhramosh NG Air launched version which no other nation could offers to Malaysian & along with that all sorts of advanced precision Guided munition of indian US, Russian European even Israeli & whatever customers nation wish to be & that's too in the price tag less then it's Compitetors & was also providing Malaysian with Sukhoi upgrades package as after Russia india is the only nation which are providing after sales support for spare parts & others vital components for Russian weapons platform & India was also ready to established manufacturing plant for Tejas un malaysia but still Tejas didn't succeeded in the tender only because of one reason & it was political reasons as Malaysian Air chief pointed out the same in one of his press conference

      @@vinodkaka5225 That's BS. Malaysia's requirement is very clear, the fighter jet must have BVR capability, refueling probe, AESA radar and two-seater because it is meant to be a Fighter Lead-In Trainer (FLIT). Malaysia knew that Tejas will be expensive to maintain because it uses parts from UK, US, Israel and even Russia. RMAF wants a mature platform, easy to maintain with abundance of spare parts. Tejas did not meet that criteria because the production is slow and only India is using it which makes it hard to find spare parts. HAL also offered Uttam radar for Israeli radar which is unproven and new. Using Russian source code may seem good at first because Malaysia is using Su-30 but spare parts are becoming harder to find and it is likely to retire in 5-10 years. So, it was clear that FA-50 will be the winner

      @@ViolentCabbage-ym7ko I don't know from where people like you got such BS information Apart from engine there was nothing concrete thing or stuff which india needs to import from Russia US or Israel and Malaysia being a hardliner muslim nation for which only fool can think about offering the stuff with Israeli origin.. And had there's everything imported in Tejas then there was no way for Tejas to make it into the final count of Malaysian tender along with South Korean FA50 because Chinese L15 & Sino-Pak JF17 was failed to make into the final phase of the tender where only Tejas &Korean F50 left out in the race to choose among.. If this wasn't the case there was no way for Tejas to qualify for the final round with so much imported stuff with in it therefore whatever malaysia took the decision based on just political calculations nothing else because even South Korean FA 50 coming with US General electric GE F404 engine British Martin Baker ejection seat & Refueling pods French missiles rail humps Italian FBW And most of the South Korean weapon packages on offer was from US origin.. Hence to say that Malaysian didn't know that is just making fool of itself.. And Malaysia on numerous occasions requested india for Su30 upgrade packages which is quite understandable especially after Russia Ukraine war & non availability of Russian spare parts n LRUs.. And unlike Korean offer HAL has offered to established Tejas manufacturing plant in Malaysia itself.... Where each n every components will be of indian origin except for the GE F404 engine.....similar like what South Korean using the same engine.. And when former Malaysian Air chief himself in his testimony in front of Malaysian parliamentary panel on defense admitted the very same fact in November 2022 that indian product was up to the mark & in some way better than the Korean but for such mega defense deals Geopolitical calculations can't be taken for granted in way he pointed out the very same reason for the Tejas non selection..

    Building aircrafts can become a quagmire without effective supply chain management. The assembly of an aircraft is a complex series of steps just like any other assembly. Each component or its respective LRU needs to be certified before it goes into the aircraft. The ordering of the parts or LRUs in the supply chain management system is a matter of timing to ensure the assembly personnel are working optimally with little downtime.

  • @AvroBellow
    @AvroBellow 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I don't think that the Tejas is "untrusted", I think that it's a matter of comparing HAL with more established manufacturers. The JF-17 was designed and originally built by Chengdu, the same company that makes the J-10 and J-20, a company that has been building fighter jets since 1956, possibly earlier. When making huge purchases like this, it's no surprise that these countries prefer companies with pedigree and HAL doesn't have pedigree. Building Folland Gnats and calling them HAL Ajeets doesn't count as an original fighter.
    It's HAL's first kick at the can for making a modern fighter so it's going to be pretty substandard because HAL hasn't made many original aircraft. I think it's great for a first try but HAL needs to treat the Tejas as a learning experience.
    The only reason why the JF-17 is a better fighter is because the Chinese made it and the Chinese have a lot of experience with fighter production. Some say that the JF-17 copies the F-16 and, yes, I can see where they drew inspiration from both the F-16 and F-18 but at the same time, I see elements of Mirage and Harrier in the Tejas. It's not surprising because these are designs that work and they work based on physics. Therefore, planes will always look pretty similar to each other if they have the same tech level and operational requirements.
    It's like, try to get a layman to tell the difference betweein a Boeing and an Airbus of similar size. They're going to be guessing because overall, the planes look the same.

      No indian will say that Tejas is superior than F22 only anti indian scoundrels shit like that with sarcasm in comment section because one can't compare Apples with oranges as F22 is the world best 5Th generation fighters jet where as Tejas is 4.5 generation single engine light combat aircraft which is definitely superior than the same Light class fighters jet available in the same class like Korean FA50 & JF17 thunder from China

    You don't have any information about Tejas, most of the info is wrong. Tejas was developed for replacing min- 21 fighter. Jf -17 has been grounded because of structural issues. Myanmar and Bangladesh already have issues so please do some research before making the video
