The corporate world has a toxic component to it just generally speaking - every office I’ve worked in especially the one I’m in now is very toxic - everyone talks about each other behind their backs everyone thinks they’re perfect and will rudely downtalk the other all while smiling in their faces and pretending to be that persons friend - it has taken its toll on me - I thought I could ignore it and just make the money but now I absolutely despise it😢

I can relate. I work around people with the worst attitudes and are always speaking negatively of others. It is disheartening. Don’t let it break you… treat it as an opportunity to make you stronger.

Every office has been like that since the 1950's. After ww2.😂 ladies love to find the soft spot so they can stick the knife in you. 😂

Fantastic, thank you so much for this! An idea for a future video (he said ironically ) would be how to manage staff with narcissistic personality. I'm finding this very... challenging.

Its best to keep to yourself at work. Don't make friends at work. It's not going to happen

I think that to put a word on this kind of situation, with all the characteristics as very well explained by Dr. Lee, is already a relief. Thank a lot for this very acute understanding with perfect objectivity.

I think Dr Lee is very skillfully getting me to look inwards and find the reasons for such behavior. This is awesome and probably the only aspect we can make a difference.

Just had someone point out how she wants me to do my job and my mistakes by writing a at length chat message to all in the company while sitting directly next to me..😂

In my situation (link in profile description), The only way I could have hypothetically avoided their bullying was to abide by their indirect requests I am assuming (nothing was communicated to me). I have every reason to believe that the perpetrators were all following instructions of a senior of a completely different department called service excellence. I mean even if I resolved to stop being over-productive (within comfort zone and re-assured 3 times by manager that it was ok to be over productive) , it would have been too late at that point. Things were chaotic.
Then, again if I did submit to them, wouldn't that be discrimination to the intellectually different? My difference was not harming the company either. On the contrary, I ensured that patients were seen on time, answered all their questions and went out of my way (voluntarily) to ensure that the floor is in tip top shape and clean. I did all that out of decency and I generally am clean and like to aid people not to stick out or show off. Heck I have not once mentioned a raise or promotion.

Thank you Dr ! I find it helpful. Though I become agressive and straight forward when I find managers unable to submit their report on time, they submit their mistakes. Is such behaivar is toxic to workplace while wrongdoings are corrected immediately?

What is it called when the coworker says a verbal sleight towards me like "well if [my name] would do his job then this wouldn't keep happening?" in front of me? I always thought this was considered passive agressive but according to what you are saying it's more gossip type stuff to avoid the convo, whereas this example opens up the opportunity for a potential convo, albeit in a rude way.

what happen happens if the support that will be given is the opposite of the goal ( ex. proper documentation for sales order using a system or manual hand writen sales order )

7:25 your "diplomatic" explanation and approach comes off as aggressive. No, not passive aggressive, directly aggressive.
