Julie!! I love it and am so honored and humbled that you'd send such a gift! It truly does pull at my heart strings. I'll keep it with my collection of challenge coins and cherish it forever! Thank you very much & Semper Fi 💖😊
I could binge watch your videos! As a child I used to spend as much time as possible watching my grandpa working in the wood shop. As I hit the middle school years my dad got out of the navy and set up a machine shop and turned metal. For me it brings happy memories. Thank you
R Humphrey as a child I have wonderful memories of building wood shavings castles and the smell of the fresh wood. Some of the most special times. When I was older I can remember playing with the shaving from dads metal lathe and getting yelled at for not having my shoes on in the shop. These are both good memories
I agree Olive wood is really beautiful. You "turned" both pieces into spectacular looking handles. You won't find to many like those at the Pizza eatery's. And a special thanks to the maker of that wood! Really nice to see you are on the mend. Take care brother, Gary
Olive wood is GORGEOUS! When we travel to California, we always stop at The Olive Pit in Corning. The store has some wonderful pieces of Olive Wood Kitchen Utensils. I could happily buy one of each, except they are expensive! Thanks for sharing your Pizza Serving Pieces turning with us! Semper Fi, Ellen
Hello Rod how fantastic to hear your voice and see you working again. The Olive wood you are working with is stunning and fantastic. Thank you dear friend I take it you are doing well in your treatment. Semper Fi awesome young man that you are.

Thank you! I still have a ways to go before I'm back to full turning abilities, but doing these outside style turns is doable. Happy to be back on the lathe! 😊
Beautiful wood - the grain almost looks like spalting, but without the punkiness. Appropriate for pizza tool handles, especially if you like olives on your pizza! Hope your shoulder is getting better by the day!
A handsome wood with a bold grain as befitting that big cutter! Such a clever idea to make the handles removable so that the tools can be cleaned without damaging the wood. Hope you enjoyed your pizza as much as I enjoyed the making of the handles!
Thanks very much! It is a well made product for sure. I'll be listing them in my store rather than using them myself... soon, just gathering initial inventory 😊
Love the grain in the olive wood. Would be interesting to be able to follow that wood back to its original place of harvest. You always give a lot of attention to the smallest details, and that is why your pieces are always museum quality. Keep taking care of the shoulder. Thanks for the video. God Bless You, and as always BE SAFE! Anchors Away.
My pleasure Mitchell, and thank you for your frequent comments! I hope you've recovered fully! I have a ways to go, but my range of motion is increasing bit by bit... 😊

Hello Mr Humphrey, watching you and other turners I decided to order a full-size lathe to replace my mini lathe. Now the hard part, it’s going to be a week before my Grizzly gets here. I’ll probably go crazy before it gets here which is ok, the VA already thinks I’m nuts. I do hope to be able to video some of the process of setting up the lathe and my first turnings on the Grizzly. Have a great day and thank you for what you do.
Congrats on getting a bigger lathe! I've heard good things about the Grizzly, I hope it gives you years of satisfying and productive peace and solace. Thanks for your service! Stay positive brother, and happy turning!
