In this video, we explore the captivating story of Rohan, a young man from a charming village in Nepal, renowned for his exceptional emotional balance. Despite the challenges he faced, Rohan remained calm and composed, intriguing his fellow villagers. When asked about his secret, Rohan shares his journey and the profound teachings that guided him towards emotional equilibrium.
Rohan's journey began in a secluded cave where he met an aged monk who introduced him to the art of mindfulness. Through daily practice, Rohan learned to observe his emotions without judgment and let them pass like clouds in the sky. This practice, combined with the monk's teachings on empathy, helped Rohan develop a deep understanding of his emotions and respond to life's challenges with compassion and equanimity.
Years later, Rohan's quest for deeper understanding led him to a distant monastery in the Himalayas. There, under the guidance of Master Lee, Rohan delved into vipassana meditation and the intricate philosophy of the mind. He realized that true emotional balance requires not just detachment but a profound understanding of the self. Upon returning to his village, Rohan shared his newfound wisdom, transforming the village into a haven of emotional resilience and inspiring countless others on their own journeys of self-discovery.

Being kind and helpful to others can be a terrible mistake.
You, random person I will never meet. I wish you success. Everything's gonna be ok.
Thank you. I wish you the same
Thanks and wish you the same
And also with you❤
Same to you
Thank you ❤❤❤
When I’m feeling those emotions, I comfort myself the same way I comfort my babies… literally just shushing, patting and saying it’s ok. The emotions pass easier. Also, make sure you’re not scrolling too much, sometimes random things on the internet can make you feel some type of way. Get plenty of rest and eat good nutritious food. Trust me, you’ll be more resilient ❤
Your comment feels so comforting I felt a little bit better just by reading it.
The key is not to cut out emotions, in fact this is dangerous as you will become apathetic. Accept emotions and learn to live in harmony with them.
Actually the key is to cut off emotions. To be detached. The current age makes everyone like a child, with their emotions on their sleeves. The way is to be machine like and that's the only way to be human. Paradox but it's true
@@loneranger7535no, that’s how/why we gave so many people end up intent on killing for money. No empathy for the victim or their family, just focus on the reward for having no emotions. This video is not well done; emotionless detachment and mindfulness don’t coexist. Whoever made this video made a serious serious mistake, because the video is initially promising reward for those with no emotion. The point is do the right thing and accept what follows, not be emotionless. The end of the video says that and it is is exactly what jayocean2021 said, accept and live in harmony with your emotions. Don’t cut off emotions.
@@sw6118Exactly. Having reasonably self-controlled emotions adds to our lives. I would rather not be emotionally dead before I am physically dead.
@@sw6118 You can have no emotions but still choose to not do evil. You are wrong.
@@loneranger7535 Sorry no, that's wrong. Cutting attachment is okay, but the way is to transform emotions, to turn negative emotions into virtues.
Who told you to be machine-like? None of the Buddhist masters I have met in 44 years of following their teachings ever told us so or showed this example.
I will never meet you but I embrace you with compassion as a fellow human being Namaste ❤🙏❤️
"Mastering others is power.
Mastering the self is empowerment.
✌❤"
Cutting out emotions is impossible. The goal is to learn to not act out of emotion. This isn't done by suppressing or ignoring, but rather analyzing the emptions and coming to understand the causes. Then you need to come to understand the things that are usually triggering these emotions are not things under your control. Once you have this understanding, you can begin to slowly shift your focus away from the uncontrollable towards the things you can control. This doesnt happen overnight, and it isnt easy. However, if you just do a fraction better than yesterday, then you've progressed.
it's not impossible, the psychiatrist murderers do it all the time. It's called chemical lobotomy, and is made possible through all psychiatric fluorine based drugs, given they share the same properties of chemical warfare
If we stop feeling we no longer are human beings
I believe there is a some truth to that statement
"Your days are numbered. Use them to throw open the windowns of your soul to the sun. If you don't, the sun will soon set, and you with it" - Marcus Aurelius
for those who are seeking the path of inner light, this information is like a hand in the darkness; living in this world today we need all the help we can get, and there is no better help than inner help...
So hard to find inner peace
I keep saying this mind over emotions!! ( not saying you have to be emotionless) but controlling feelings is a must. Not overreacting or anything.
Emotions give color to life. Even the less wanted ones..
Well said.
Upekkha is a real ascertainable state of being. That's what he's describing in this video. I encourage anyone that's truly seeking to look it up. My peace is paramount and uppekkha was the path I chose. Equanimity in all things. It doesn't mean you don't care. It means that you look at every situation critically, first.
Thank you from within. The more i get to understand, the more humbled I am by life❤
I’ll get everything? Ok, I just need a couple of long-sleeve shirts for this winter
Wishing you all the best: may today bring you closer to your goals, and may you find solace amidst life's uncertainties.
With the exception of the artificial and abstract thinker in you, you are pure Nature.
Emotionlessness is not the ultimate goal. It is just one step on the journey to a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world around us. Continue your journey with gratitude and seek understanding
This is not correct.
It is the goal.
I wish i could reach this level of understanding and resilience. It's not easy for me.
Especially with this disaster of a world we live in, not suitable for humans to thrive in.
Just keep working at it. It gets easier.

It's closer now. Thank you
Do many of these words teaching are a part of everyday life that we do not apply attention to. As the simple often used quote: This to shall pass. Nothing in the realm of form is permanent. Detachment is a golden key. Flow with life.
I find these videos extremely helpful

@@InspiraZen. 8:01 That's "bodhi" tree. Bodhi = species of fig native to south Asia. It was under a bodhi tree where Buddha meditated.
Thank you ❤
Excellent. Extremely relatable.
Thanks for listening
I loved this and wish I could be a part of this world and teach others the same . My family was always stressed and I was mostly the calm one ... My family is no longer here anymore .. 😢
Heyy, everything will be fine have trust and love yourself first, I believe in you and hope you too! 😊😊
I'm currently on this journey and is not by mistake that I found this video. I thought emotional detachment was a myth before now...
same here
It's a peculiar journey because you've already arrived.
Insightful !
My bf was like rohan... He was unemotional even i told, if u didn't take efforts nd show love i ll go... He let me go... He don't hve sadnesses... No emotions... Being emotionless is also dangerous if it is more
Might have been a sociopath
He’ll find a partner that accepts him as he is. You aren’t that person. You will find a partner that shows you love how you like.
Everything happens as it should.
@@crtnyp No, not everything happens as it should by any means. What on earth is wrong with you? This is the reasoning of sociopaths. Be better than this.

You're welcome
Thank you for the wonderful video i really enjoyed it. The most dangerous and also the difficult to handling things is Emotion land emotions are very depends upon the situations has passed by a person. I am also faced this issue like some situation i cant control my emotions and i am very concerned the consequence of this emotions because sometimes i have no idea how i react a situation. What i learned from this video has emotion are the key factor of a human life if you have a good control about your emotions your life is more happy and enjoyable and without a proper control about the emotions we cant go forward and we may face challenges in your life.
Thank you so much!
Glad it helped!

Your welcome
Thank you ❤️✌️
Your most welcome
Such a great storyteller 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻! Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
The Grate Mystery that created the Universe gave HUMANS Emotions for a reason. If monks make a pledge to own nothing, then they already have everything they want. NOTHING. Many spiritual leaders also explain to humans that their life itself is on loan as well as everything in their possession.
I left Buddhism because of its passive nature I am a warrior heart so now I hang out with the Lakota when I can, when they'll have me.
I highly suggest the book Mother Earth spirituality by Ed McGaa.
Namaste motherfukers.✌️🐺👍
God bl was you❤
Thank u
Welcome
No good decision is based on emotion
Thanks alot
Most welcome
Good teaching
Glad you think so!
Wanting to get everything in life is an emotion of desire itself so what is the point of the thumbnail ,,,? Could you explain
From what I understand, if you control your emotions then you can face the ups and downs of life with equanimity. That's everything in life. Impermanent and empty. There are no likes or dislikes. I hope this is helpful
You are here because you are facing challenges and difficulties. Hi stranger, i sincerely wish you all the best in life.. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
We appreciate that
No, I'm not. Try not to generalize.
I'm so sorry to tell you this but God gave us emotions for a reason
God didn't give us emotions. They are a natural part of being human, nothing to do with any superstition. Other than that though, you are correct, emotions are vital. This channel is just clickbait, lazy made up stories for the most part and is highly inaccurate.
Rohan changes ages from an old man...and then going to the monastery he is young again.
I wish to learn this mindfulness so please share videos on how to do it
I'm sure European Rojan from Japan met the even most challenging situations....in Nepal.
A lot of video like that have missleading titles. This doesnt really tell you how to do it, it just talk about the story of someone who allegedly did. It's like if i title a video "how to train a dog" and i just tell you, i worked really hard at it, and i was really patient. I was kind to the dog - now you do it
The video is clickbait and not accurate.
Yes, years later I know this
The various principal concepts in Buddhism saved my life. Raised as a fundamentalist legalistic pentecostal, I was angry, hurt, and disillusioned by the amount of hypocrisy I kept seeing from the pulpit to the pew. What I read in the Bible was devastating to women in general, but to any culture outside of "God's chosen" because their people - men, women, children, lifestock, EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE - could be slaughtered indescribably.
I started to search for God for myself outside of religion. The more world cultural scriptural text that I read, the more I realized that they all have so much in common (even some verbatim wording in scriptural texts across Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, and more) while they're busy arguing with each other that their way is the exclusive way, the truth, and the light. My concept and understanding of that Highest Consciousness has broaden exponentially and can't be labeled or described within one religious box if it can be explained at all. Buddha taught critical thinking way before his time. I've learned that I can breathe, meditate, and go within for ALL answers. I've never experienced this level of peace in my entire life.
❤
🙏
💖!
If you want to achieve this, go and take a ten day vipassana course. It will change your life, and teach you this. You just have to listen to the practice, and discover your mind. Your mind will eventually quiet, and you will be free. It's fascinating.
Should try to tell some AI system to create a story with this subject and then make it into a video, would be interesting if it would be the same video or something similar.
Of course there was a bodhi tree. Lots of self-help/spiritual wow words in this.
I path i wish to take.
Rohan picture is very handsome
Very beautifully narrated. 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great 👍.
When u mentioning stories from Nepal you should put Nepali style Temple and Gompa.
The stories aren't genuine.
Emotionless ,you mean mindless ,i will emotional if something happen to my dear ones .
So much for living in a state of Wish fulfillment then
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
What is the meaning of equinimity? I can't find word in dictionary
Equanimity means calmness and composure, especially in a difficult situation
I took to spirituality for 20 years now. I lost the last person who had some respect and soft corner for me…
