This is the one you drag race fans have been waiting for!
When we last ran the Lamborghini Revuelto against the Ferrari SF90, the SF90 came out on top. However, Yianni wasn’t happy with the result, and he wanted a rematch. So now his Revuelto has been run in, it’s time for that very battle!
However, before the Lambo goes up against the SF90, Mat wanted to see how it compares to the SF90’s little brother, the 296 GTB.
So let’s see how all three compare. Starting with the 296, it’s powered by a 3-litre twin-turbo V6 engine as well as an electric motor. Combined they produce 830hp and 740Nm of torque, and this power is sent to the rear wheels only. The car weighs 1,470kg (although this is the dry weight), and as new the car will cost around £241,000.
As for the SF90, this rolls up with a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 and three electric motors. Combined they put down 1,000hp and 800Nm, which is sent to all four wheels. The car has a dry weight of 1,570kg, and as new it’ll set you back around £376,000.
Finally, we have the Lamborghini. It’s powered by a glorious 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12, along with three electric motors. These can produce 1,015hp and 1,062Nm, and just like the SF90 it has four-wheel drive. The car weighs in at 1,772kg, and it’s the most expensive car here, costing from £446,000.
So will Yianni be able to claim victory for the Lamborghini fan!? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!

And the thing is Lamborghini benchmark the sf90 for years and still made a slower car, sf90 is already a 5 year old car, and it's successor is about to launch in early 2025
I mean… it kind of is. Lamborghini seriously messed up. Imagine paying all of that money for a car that looks worse than the previous version, has a convoluted hybrid system that regularly won’t let you drive as demonstrated by multiple reviewers, and is much slower than a car from its competitor that is years older.

- Ferrari has already won 24 Hours of Le Mans 2 consecutive times within 2 years using 296's V6 engine in their 499P Le Mans Hypercars. Ferrari 296 GT3 won 2023 24 hrs of Nurburgring GT3 class and 2024 24 hours of Daytona GT3 class.
- SF90 is 5 yrs old supercar from Ferrari launched in 2019 and SF90 replacement prototype are already testing in Maranello.
- Revuelto is Lamborghini's latest supercar launched in 2023.
That's the LaFerrari replacement testing now, not a SF90 replacement. Also, you didn't mention all the 24 hour races the 296 itself has won, 2023 Nurburgring, 2024 Daytona, and were very very close to winning the 24 hours of Spa this year if a Lamborghini (ironically) wasn't blocking the pitlane when the lead 296 came in for its last stop.
The 296 GT3 is one hell of a current racing car. Their won at 2023 N24 was amazing.

The 296 is 300kg lighter which offsets a good chunk of that power difference. I get that a V12 4WD is more expensive to build than a V6T RWD (both hybrids) but I'm not seeing any reason why it costs double.

Honestly, I can't even defend the Revuelto anymore. The Revuelto is just slower than the SF90 and that's a fact. I've been a Lamborghini fanboy all my life I'll accept the fact that the SF90 is faster.
Lamborghini just needs to straight up make faster cars. I wasn't sad, I was disappointed through the whole race.
The new Huracan replacement should be pretty good for such short races, coz it seems like it is a hybrid with TT.. Lambo will just make faster versions of the Revuelto later to milk out the model. Meanwhile, the owners of this 1st variant might do a few mods & make them faster, if they really want to...

I own several exotics, have driven many Lambos. To this day, not much is as awful as an Aventador.
I’m a Ferrari guy, but I think what’s showing is how cool it was for Lamborghini to keep a NA V12. Would it have been faster and lighter if they downsized and put a turbo on it? Yes. But would people be crying about no more NA 12. Absolutely. Respect to Lamborghini

naturally aspirated engine vs turbo, the fact that you don't know the difference is enough humiliation. apples vs oranges. 296 will need new turbos when revuelto will last for 5x of that mileage. it costs more to make v12 , thats why its more expensive. a 296 owner will need to pay that much money compared to revuelto owners.

I was looking to see if it was just me or if anyone else mentioned about the sound, Lambo v10 and v12 engines just don’t sound as good to me as they once did. I also don’t think most aftermarket exhausts I’ve heard on them sound great either. I think the Revuelto does have some nicer styling bits than the SF90 but I like the overall proportions of the SF90 better. Ferrari did a great job on the SF90 considering it’s already a few years old at this point, I can’t wait to see the replacement.
@@lumntoob999 Yep I agree fully. I mean to me, one of the best sounding cars are the SVJ with a Gintani and the 812 GTS with a Novitec exhaust. The Revuelto still hasn't had any similar exhaust setup developed for it yet, so I'm curious what those type of companies can come up with, and how much it would improve the sound. I also agree that the Revuelto looks a bit more interesting than the SF90, but I'm really not a fan of the front. The rear looks great, but as you said, the proportions of the SF90 are definitely better. The Revuelto is by no means bad, but as I said, it's just....underwhelming, and seeing it barely compete against the 296 which is with a V6 was just odd.
