    I really don't understand how people can put SO MUCH value into a badge. You, Doug, literally said its an overall good/competitive product and very luxurious... but because of the badge the price tag is questioned? I feel like this is when automotive reviewers should JUMP on recommending a product. Screw a badge and get the better vehicle... hell, be a trendsetter. And let's make it clear... it is still the bargain of the class when you compare it to updated 2025 pricing in this class, which is insane. Has no one noticed the LX now STARTS at $106k with all of it's compromises and lackluster/cramped interior? A mid-tier Escalade is $115k, which is more than a fully loaded QX80 at $112k. $100k is not what it used to be... especially when you have $80k Kias being willingly purchased. I really feel like the launch of this thing has been sabotaged by everyone making an unneccessarily big deal about the price as if it's not 2024/2025 and the ATP is not pushing $50k... of course a luxury full-size SUV is going to cost over $100k fully loaded.

    I would argue that the QX80's exterior design stands out more than the Mercedes Benz GLS but not as in your face as the Cadillac Escalade or Lexus LX. It's a solid middle ground in that regard. Furthermore, I think I would take the new QX80 over anything the Germans are offering especially in regards to interior layout.
    Infiniti actually put some effort into making the interior look like a nice place to be unlike BMW and Merc where they just stuck a screen onto the dashboard/center console and called it a day. I could care less if the technology isn't up there with the likes of Mercedes since adding more technology doesn't make a car more luxurious.

    20:40 The point here is that the consumers WANT the V8 power and reliability but the government won't let them because of "environmental" concerns. So automakers make twin turbo 4 and 6 cylinder vehicles that have the SAME MPG as the V8's from 20 years ago. Take a look at the 2005 Ford Expedition (3 row SUV), which cost half of this Infiniti, and will outlast it.

    • @bwofficial1776
      @bwofficial1776 18 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      To add to that, an unstressed V8 will last forever. A smaller engine having to haul around a large vehicle will be stressed, and forced induction will make it worse.

    • @BoldBrandFlakes

      To be fair manufacturers are preferring smaller displacement engines because of emissions as well. It’s not always about mpg.

      Just like the digital rear view camera mirror. It should be on every vehicle. Some may not like them because the depth perception is off. I get that, but many times, it's difficult to see out the back. People in the back seats, stuff in the rear of an suv, or sloped rear end coupe style vehicles all make it hard to see so a camera mirror is better than not seeing. Plus, the people that complain obviously don't realize you can just turn it to a regular mirror and then stop complaining. They can make it more of a 3D image giving depth. There just needs to be two cameras next to each other instead of the one. That would be easy.
