Joe! We live in Minnesota and are thinking about getting/trying to get a 2017 KIA Sedona. The biggest factor is whether or not that middle seat comes out. We couldn't find the answer any where, until we fiund you. You sold us. If you have connections in MN hit us up so you can get credit for this sale cuz 110% of the credit goes to you. Oh man, just makes Dodge/Chrysler vans' stow n go seats much more appealing. Wish I could trust the brand for long term ownership. I hear it's getting better, hope so.
The problem with stow n go seats is that they are far more flat, which is what makes them small enough to fit in the floor. Sitting in the second row of a Chrysler isn’t gonna be as comfortable as other vans.
Lol we bought a 8 passenger SX Sedona in 2015 and the middle seat has been in our basement for 5+ years now. Never once needed it. I'm not saying it's a bad design but honestly how often do you need 8 people in your minivan.
I don't know why everyone admires the arrangement of armchairs in Carnival? I have a 2018 Sedona LX (like Carnival) and I'm disappointed with the seats. This is the worst system of storing and folding the seats of all vans. There is a lot to improve. Additionally, the armrests of the 1st row in the doors are too low. Even worse is the armrest on the center console. In the second row, the interior of the car is so wide that you can easily place three equally wide seats. The middle seat does not move evenly with the side seats and does not fold like the side seats, which means that a special 2-person mattress prepared for vans cannot be placed on them. Epic fail.

Having an issue with the drivers' middle seat. The release that the 3rd row passenger would pull is broken loose. Any suggestions on how to fix it?

I have just tried a 2016 Sedona and that van is still sweet under 35k miles. For $20k you can't beat that😃
