Hoovie will make money when the TH-cam channel stops producing and he cashs out. Since he buys mostly hoopties, thecars are pretty well depercaited and he can sell them out at probably near what he paid, so the paid equity into the cars will be his when he sells them off. Since TH-cam pays for most of his payments, it's like a rental where he buys a property and then rents out, just its a car and he renting it to TH-cam viewers. I'm happy to pay my time to watch :)

As for escalating up to more and more expensive cars... I actually REALLY REALLY enjoy your cheaper, more atainable cars and I think buying more cheap gems would be great fun! Yes they'll invariably cost you money in repairs, but the initial outlay would be far less.
Perhaps buying a turbo petrol Audi would get great views, you could bling it up to the max to make it look mean but point out how all the parts are pretty much Passatt bits

No fault of mine, I was born in a Rolls family. My favourite: Camargue ...I am 80 ..I would touch neither the Rolls nor the Bentley with a barge pole. They are BMW and VW emblazoned with glitz. Who wants a twinkling starry ceiling and for what? Times have changed, so have people and their mode of transportation. Those who bought these cars have graduated to Private Jets, Helicopters and Very Fast Trains. Japan and China have taken these to new heights. I live in London. Paris to Brussels 1:24 hours, to London 2:26 hours ... centre to centre. They have beaten short flights.
VW Phaeton beats Bentley and BMW 760 beats Phantom ...I have a fully loaded BMW 750iL V12 ...The only change I made was to put a slightly low profile tyres on front wheels for cornering at high speed. She is a dream in 'Sports' mode.

Yes, you are right, "I found a place in Arizona that can rebuild ..." is
the best solution when the manufacturer quotes some looney price for
    some $5 item.
Being able to find generic parts is as good a
solution. Pity that whenever I call places like Napa, the call dies
completely immediately I mention Rolls Royce or Bentley. They claim not
to list or know about any parts for these cars. They won't look it up,
cross check or do ANYTHING to assist. Even when I try to say that the
part is exactly the same as a (for example) Saab!

They're designed to be the best of the best for the first five to seven years of ownership, at which point the average Rolls/Bentley/SClass/whatever owner would most likely upgrade to a newer model anyway. I thing they really are the best of the best for the first few years, but. I have so much respect for Toyota/Lexus, you drive one thats been maintained normally for 250k, still drives like new. You pay a premium for being "just" a Toyota, but you're given quality and reliability, I can't imagine the cost of pushing a rolls that far, you would need to BEG for parts and probably have to have many of them custom made if you want to have your car on the road more than its in the shop.

There is no better road car for comfort and driving enjoyment. Just be sure the Wizard gives it a thorough check up before you head to Colorado just to be on the safe side. You should add a saab 9-3 to your fleet.. they’re quirky and to some people are expensive to fix but it would be nice to show people that Saabs aren’t money pits as society believes..

NAPA Auto parts stores were always way better than the other chain stores. Like, the people behind the counter know what they are talking about. Saved me many times.

I liked the idea of doing the old XJ8 Jag. A CL600 or other MB V12 cool to do too. Old BMW.

    Train wreck of a life??
And how many guys out there wouldn't trade their situation for one that centered on traveling all over the place buying cars and making money just for mentioning Napa. In other words just being on cruise control day after day???
I don't call that a Train Wreck. Would be a dream job for most..

99% Isopropanol should do the trick to clean the hood from glue.

    Sure like the 2017 Wheels.
I bought a $15000 1997 Rolls Spur Turbo last month with 68000 Kilometers.
Just love it! Having fun fixing stuff.RR's are such a special experience to drive.
