Lost my last pick a week ago, so drove 10 miles to the shop, bought more. Got home and there was the lost pick sitting on the couch staring at me with a shit eating grin.
Super annoying; when a guitar pick on a table sticks to your wrist, then falls off onto the floor and finds a good place to hide. This happens to me all the time!
Happened to me with my GNR slash pick, dropped it by accident and couldnt find it for 3 days. Only to find out it was under my computer desk, i dont know how, i was on my bed playing then i dropped it only to find out it wasn't even near the bed it was under the pc.
The Funeral Of Thousand Suns me and my friend spend about 10 minuets looking in my couch for my dragon heart pick, a week later it was just sitting in from of it
The Funeral Of Thousand Suns What's a real pain in the ass is when the black hole decides to return it to a place you checked numerous times. I can't remember how many times I've spent an excessive amount of time searching, only to find it right next to my foot....Strangely enough, I found a pick INSIDE my SHOE, once. Didn't even bother trying to figure out how THAT happened, I just ignored it like it was normal, and went about my business lol
LMAO I'm pretty lucky, I live near a pawn shop 2 older guys own that deals with just about anything but mostly in instruments and they're super cool guys. One's a guitarist (they both play guitar but one mains the guitar I guess you could say) and the other plays bass so they're super knowledgeable and can answer most questions right off the top of their heads with just about anything you can think to ask regarding instruments and their peripherals.
but when you have 2 it's like apples and oranges. which one tasts better for this weather, which one compliments your mood, which one suits the day you had.
Yeah, and if you, like me, have a guitar with vintage tuners it's even worse. Pop out, try again, pop out again, oh... and now the string is too short to be used. Great, just fuckin' great.
Wow... sometimes when I'm tuning up from a lower standard... but initial tuning... I never really had a problem other than the tightness I felt when I first put 10's on. And I use 13:1 gearing.
When a pick falls to the ground it automatically opens up a wormhole to another plane of existence. If you're lucky they will jump back after a week or two but don't bother searching for them.
YOUR TUNER IS ON!!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣. I can’t tell you how long we’ve spent trying to figure out what is wrong with my pickup when my volume was just down or my tuner was on smh 😂😂😂😂
During band practice we had a drummer who would never let us tune up so we started to pick pocket his drum sticks the second he walked in the door and not give them back until we were done tuning.
1:05 Exactly what I look like while tuning, I’ve had one too many close calls while tuning. Also when I start tuning one string and for some reason it’s not getting better until another string snaps and I realize I was turning the wrong one
This happened to me one time. I found my pick while I was waiting in line at the grocery store. I'm not joking or exaggerating. It wasn't even my normal store, it was a store a few blocks down. And I'm 100% sure it was my pick, cause I've scratched my initials in it.
Yeah funny story that actually happened to me I was playing my acoustic and lost the pick I was playing and the case for my guitar was next to my foot a couple days later I was walking into the church I go to and I hear the magical sound of a pick falling to the ground and I look down and there it was keep in mind that the time period of loosing the pick and finding it was a couple weeks and in that time it had worked it’s way out without being noticed and I knew it was mine because I’m the only one at that church that uses fender picks instead of Dunlop’s 😂
The Dropping a Pick in General one hit close to home. I use white picks and have white carpet. It can get annoying sometimes especially when it's dark or dimly lit.
I’m a bass guitar student, my girlfriend plays guitar, I see some of her struggles finding her pick just like you. I try not to be an annoying bassist but sometimes I can see the frustration in her eyes. We are not in a band, we play exclusively for fun, simple, the easiest songs we can find because I’m a newbie and she has been out of practice for years, yet these problems guitarists experience seem so relatable. Thanks for the funny video!

the technical difficulty was that one time which no sound was coming out of my 120w amp and I did everything to pedalboard and guitar, so turned my amp master volume to the end and still no sound, I start playing some chords with anger and suddenly amp understands that I'm angry so start outputting all of my distorted sound to my face, I stamped to the wall like an egg and watch the amp showing me the middle finger from another side of the room as I gently slip on the wall.

I swear picks have the ability to go to another dimension when dropped... Looked forever for one then an hour later it just flew out of nowhere and landed on the carpet
This must be where all the cool guitar is paying out thought I'd check it out what's up Jared I'm really enjoying these videos having a blast a lot of fun and yes I'm a guitarist have a blast everybody coffee cups up keep them videos coming Jared it's a lot of fun great entertainment and you're a heck of a guitar player as well
@@lenini056 if you're strumming for long I really wouldn't recommend that, the bottom of your fingernails usually scratch pretty hard against the strings
Here's another: clipping your ends after re-stringing the guitar, unknowingly losing one of those clippings, and later discovering it with your foot. Little bastard was hiding in the carpet, point up, ready to wreck the first foot that stepped on it. Or: being so broke that you can't afford a pack of strings, accidentally breaking one, then having to make sure you only play songs/riffs that don't use that one string at all.
One time i lost my first pick to my old house and i never found it while when we were moving and while we were packing things up and i found it under the couch for some reason and now i use the pick everyday....

Same

The last part accurately summarizes my phone calls with guitar center lol
Seen a kid get his eye taken out tuning up on a guitar. So I always wear glasses when putting on new strings lol
"come on Anne Frank" lmfao
Darkest Before Dawn same
I swear picks have the ability to go to another dimension when dropped... Looked forever for one then an hour later it just flew out of nowhere and landed on the carpet
9:01 MOM HE SAID MY NAME
This must be where all the cool guitar is paying out thought I'd check it out what's up Jared I'm really enjoying these videos having a blast a lot of fun and yes I'm a guitarist have a blast everybody coffee cups up keep them videos coming Jared it's a lot of fun great entertainment and you're a heck of a guitar player as well
the dropping pick in guitar made me realize I still have a nerf bullet in mine.
Neo...
The Matrix needs you.
That's why I never play guitars with picks! I only use fingers! :)
@@lenini056 if you're strumming for long I really wouldn't recommend that, the bottom of your fingernails usually scratch pretty hard against the strings
@@lenini056 base gang
Haven't dropped mine yet and I started using my guitar at new years
I'm lucky? owo
The fear of getting hit in the eye while tuning 😂 is so fucking true
Ice Cube true!!
I play both violin and guitar and im honestly more scared when tuning a guitar haha
It goes straight into the bone
Damn like so freaking true haha
I usually wear wide sunglasses while putting new strings on)))
The way he drops the pick with the electric guitar is flawless
Tuning the guitar always sounds like a jump scare waiting to happen😂
Here's another: clipping your ends after re-stringing the guitar, unknowingly losing one of those clippings, and later discovering it with your foot. Little bastard was hiding in the carpet, point up, ready to wreck the first foot that stepped on it.
Or: being so broke that you can't afford a pack of strings, accidentally breaking one, then having to make sure you only play songs/riffs that don't use that one string at all.
Use Ernie ball strings. You can get 3 packs for 10 bucks
The Metal One I feel that
I've been there on the second part but I realised that's why you buy a back up guitar and a back up for the back up
Im currently dealing with fate number two
The Metal One felt BOTH of these, i’m always stepping on clippings, one almost went completely through the skin between two of my toes
I swear to god I can drop a pick and watch it fall and hit the ground, yet still manage to lose it
thats nothin, I can drop a box of picks and lose them all
I once found a random guitar pick on my wall when i woke up and i was so confused how it can get stuck to a wall
Even as a bassist I relate with all of this
Picking an amp isnt as annoying when you only have one!
*Cries*

Well I wasn't scared about getting hit in the eye while tuning until now....
same lmao
SAME
im always worried about it snapping but getting hit in the eye isn't a a possibility i ever considered
"hey look at me and my general anxiety free life"
I could be tuning something normally and not feel any tension and still be afraid of getting hit in the face
Changed my guitar strings for the first time recently and now I finally understand the feeling of the first clip and the tuning one lol
One time i lost my first pick to my old house and i never found it while when we were moving and while we were packing things up and i found it under the couch for some reason and now i use the pick everyday....
