An important point is the height of the structure is to be defined I n seismic definition .then only staad will calculate time period based in Is 1893 formula which 0.085 h^ 0.75 . If not defined then staad will calculate as per rayleigh method as mentioned in staad manual

why we have consider EQ in X direction only ,for +ve and -ve? why not in Z direction?
In general we workout for X and Z both directions
In 2d analysis we can consider Eq +/-X only. if we do 3d analysis then only we can consider EQ in X & Z directions.
