    - How can I use Staad Pro to design the mounting structure for the solar (photovoltaic) system?
    - If I have an existing industrial warehouse, how can I decide if it can withstand the extra load for the solar panels and mounting structure (around 20 kg/m2)?

    • @GaniSk
      @GaniSk  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can do the design for existing industrial warehouse also, this building was designed without solar panels load at that time, now you are adding solar panels, so you need to redesign that structure with solar panels load,
      Present, you don't have any design for this building, its OK, you can measure and take the values from existing building then redesign it with solar panels load in Staad Pro, if it is withstand, then no need to change any members. In case if it is not withstand for the solar panels load, then you need give extra support members to withstand the structure for extra solar panels load and redesign it in staad pro.

    When we should select pinned or fixed base support? What are the criterias?

    • @GaniSk
      @GaniSk  ปีที่แล้ว

      First you need to take pinned support next do design and analysis, if it's pass then you can use pin support. If it's failed that means forces are more at support then you need to take fixed support.

  • @aravindhanvinayagam2430
    @aravindhanvinayagam2430 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Sir how to finalize the tapper section initially...and also I need clarification for why wind load 90 degeree is not considered , you are giving pinned support so ther is any effect for not giving kz factor..
    sir please help me...

    • @GaniSk
      @GaniSk  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Initially you can take any size, after design and analysis, we need to optimize the steel and finalize the member sizes. yes you can apply wind load 90 degrees also on end frames. kz factor doesn't effect the design.

    The wind loads applied just like that at random or for the B'lore region?

    • @GaniSk

      Not a random values, those are calculated design values.
