As we defined self load while defining EQ parameter, so I think it would not be define again beam member weight, because it will unnecessarily increase seismic weight and thereby hamper the structural output.
I think you need not add weight of beam as member weight. That will be already calculated by the self weight option. The member weight is for including the partition loads. Right?
We consider the floor load 3.5 kn..while slab dead load already takes and assigned in self weight ..so we should take only 1 to 1.5 kn floor load that is its finishing load..m i right sir
No need to calculate dead weight of concrete for sismic analysis. It calculates automatically. Instead of calculating dead weight of beam , calculate dead weight of wall resting on beam
Sir you have applied member load in E.Q analysis to all beam but you have not applied floor load to all plates which you have generated. pl clarify only we have to generate the floor load not applied to its plate elemets?
Damping is a phenomenon that makes any vibrating body/structure to decay in amplitude of motion gradually by means of energy dissipation through various mechanisms. For the building generally we will assume 5% vibrations

Correct.
You already considered selfweight which covers beam/ slab/column self weights, then why did you add again beam & slab weight?
Sir seismic load is consider positive?
I was considered EQx case only you can take EQy also by considering another load case

Yes
Since member weights are added here whether it is needed to add self weight again in DL option
Thanks a lot for your video!
Why Did you reduce the damping ratio from 5 to 0.05? The five in the beginning did not meant five percent?
If we are not consider 0.05 it will show you error message as damping ratio limit exceeding

Good explanation
Thanks 😊

we do not use - sign for load in seismic analysis

Can you analysis and design a rcc building of a seismic region
Please follow this video 👍🏻

Ppppplppppppppppppppp
brother do you have something on " Seismic Analysis of Silo"
After seismic analysis can I directly go to design option for rcc design

Why do you add member weight and floor weight ??
It would have been better if you had meshed the slab according to the column spacing.
ok
Why are you not considering the weight of the column?
We take uni load 2.5 kn and assigned for beam ...while dead load already taken..why in seismic load we again assigned it..kindly clear
Sir please make a correction while defining a floor weights pressure=(DL+0.25/0.5 LL) kN/m2. here DL=Self weight of slab+superimposed DL.
@Sir i got 2 errors by following u r video how can i rectify the errors
Sir, What is Damping ratio?
I want to ask how you choose the damping ratio( .05) is it depend on type of material

@@civilengineeringbyshravan9596 ok sir
Error 1893 load cases must be defined before any other load case ....what is the solutio
Yes you need define load case initially before applying
you should define seismic load before any other load such as dead or live load
Yes
