- I went on a cruise to Mount Rainer with some friends recently and my buddy Jimmy thought of a really easy way to take roller shots. So we decided to put his creative set up to the test! The shots came out amazing!

That footage came out incredible. As for someone who films with a full rig, hanging in the rear of a minivan (+Safety harness). This is solid footage
Haha! Bro I see ya putting in a lot of work! It definitely shows! This is a nice little backup set up that can put out some good quality!
can you tell me which harness system do you use please?
I was wondering if this camera would be useful for car tracking shots, and here is this video proving the concept so well!
Insane!!!!!! That reel was so tuff! Crazy how such a simple setup and small camera can produce this much heatt 🔥 nice work bros
Thank you bro!! This little set up insane! I need one for myself now
AMAZING!!! I have so much invested in a larger setup and I also have the DJI Osmo pocket (first gen) and never thought if this. I love the footage that I get with it!
Great idea,I was using a combination of a heavy duty suction mount,a Gopro8 and a Feiyu wearable gimbal mounted to the car to get rollers but the gimbal had terrible Bluetooth range and just became a complete headache to use. I'll definitely keep this in mind 🙏
That is totally rad man!!! Thanks for sharing! I need to do this for my Jeeping videos!!!
🫡
this is awesome, thank you for showing us guys!
Thanks for watching and commenting Vince!
Love this! I'm from WA also! Love mt Rainier cruises.
Saw this on your tiktok and wanted to see more footage and bigger 😹 definitely need to get this for my own setup. Huge game changer when people want rollers in videos.
Auyyy you found me 😂
Brilliant!!! Genius!!! Nicely done!
I bought one that's similar to this but sold from a company local in Portland called Cravenspeed. I am kinda slow so ended up buying one for a different make and i'll be hitting them up for a replacement. Great footage and cant wait to try this out with my supra and my insta360
Those shots looks straight out Gran Turismo - Respect for being so creative!
Thank you for giving me the spotlight bro! Such a fun cruise.. hopefully with summer ending it isn’t the end of it. I’m sure we can squeeze out something sweet! Video came out great!
It was awesome collabing with ya Jimmy! Let’s do more in the future!
Jimmy has legit cinematography skills from nature to fish unboxing and now to Supras!
Jimmy is a magician! I ended up binge watching some of his plant stuff when I discovered his channel lol
Awesome video!!!
Saw the video on ig I'm definitely taking advantage. Look forward to it 🙏🏿📸
That video looked epic!
it turned out sooo good!!
Great idea! I'll see of I can do a similar set up on my Silverado.
this is AWESOME!!!
thank you!
Man, amazing. May you share some settings of the camera while recording such rolling shots?
Yeah the footage looks pretty solid
Hey man! First of all, great video! Here in germany there is sadly no shop offering tow mounts for cameras like that (and not for my car).
I guess I have to use a suction mount. Do you have any recomendations for the Osmo Pocket 3? My current fav is the Smallrig 4236.
Would really appreciate any help :)
Since the Osmo 3 came out did yall do a video with it as well👀 & if yall do should post like settings/export tutorials just got into videography
thank you for the tip bro gonna try this out
Do it bro!
Subbed!! The camera man a genius
🙏🙏
now I just need another car with a rear tow hook lol great footage dudes
Too rad 😍😍
thanks!!
Fkin nuts! Thanks for sharing this and not gatekeeping like MOST PRETENTIOUS videographers on IG/YT.
Underrated
Awesome video. Got that Asian Invasion Toyota Mafia goin on.
Niceee 💯⚡⚡⚡
Hell yeah ... all i need is a car mount ... thanks for sharing
Hey thank you for this awesome video! Is this possible with the first Osmo Pocket?
now someone needs to film Jimmy, he deserved it
Thanks my dude :)
Hey man on minute 1:30 you mention you need a tugless view clip however i think you meant the tugview clip because if i have an existing tow hook on my C8 corvette i would need the clip mounted on top of the hook. The tugless view seems to be installed by twisting it as if it would be a hook but itll just be for the camera instead with no hook in the rear. Also can you send a link for the clip to record vertically
Little bit after you posted but what were your settings 24fps. Any tips got a shoot with this camera coming up soon.
Hey, this is so cool!! I may miss it in the video, but what is your setting in the DJI pocket? Like shutter speed and etc., and also, what is nd filter you used?
Yea it's all in the video. 1/50 shutter. iso 200max with ND32
What suction cup are you using for insta 360 and also stick? Thanks
That’s a super cool setup. I have to ask what phone mount is that inside on the windshield.
It’s in the links in the description :)
Linked for ya bro!
Dude great info! Bought an osmo pocket 3
now, how to record the sound of the exhaust or interior or engine to the dji pocket ? which mic should be best, to not to record the sound separately? :-)
Do you know if the tug view adapter is universal and fit on Cusco tow hook?
I been testing this with the pocket 3 and I encounter autofocus fighting to keep a good shot, its about 10% of the footage over all most of it comes out great but still trying to figuring out how to fix that extra 10%.
I didn't understand anythings ._. I love your uploads btw, Keep up the good work Man
what y’all’s camera settings and what lenses did y’all use?
Thanks for this video Vinh and Jimmy. I have a question regarding the set-up, will this work with any other tow hook? $225 for 1 tow hook is steep.. Thanks in advance when you see this and keep up the good work! and happy holidays
You could also buy a heavy duty automotive suction cup camera mount and stick it on to the back of your bumper if you don’t want to go the tow hook route.
I second this I used a suction cup mounts works just as good, just very limited to how fast one can go
Yureka!!
did u use ND64 when filiming?
Hey can I know what ND Filters you used? Thank you!
This is utterly incredible, I’m shooting a motorcycle gang scene on a motorway and this is perfect! Only issue is those tow rings are expensive as heck! Are there any cheaper alternatives that’ll work just as well?
Suction cups! :)
This is awesome. which mode in pocket 2 were you using ? is it FPV mode ?
Follow :) (fast follow)
@@jimmygimbal gotcha thanks
What are the settings for pocket 2 for rolling. Thanks
Is there a link for the tow hook attachment?
do you have a solution if we don't have a Supra that comes with that mount?
How did you get the shot so stable? I'm running a similar setup and have found lots of micro vibrations in the end video. Thanks!
Yeah it's uncanny how stable it is, maybe just taking the best selects from the smoothest tarmac. I've found from experimenting I can get better results by mounting the Pocket horizontally using the GoPro bracket center balanced. The Pocket is 3-axis so it can't stabilize the Z axis vertically while it's standing up so I shoot anything with vertical shake in 'flashlight mode' like you would with a normal gimbal. I shaved down the GoPro bracket from the original Pocket to fit the 2 and use the much smaller wireless receiver from the Pocket 1 too.
@@arnisbrown5848 dude this is incredibly good advice that I’m definitely gonna try next time I go out! Thank you!
@@arnisbrown5848 Man this is so amazing. Thanks for sharing
How do you get smooth shots? I tried this and it was super shakey.
Do they do one for the evo x
Would the tugview work with other towhooks not made by raceseng?
Also for microjitters how did you guys manage to work around that?
8:41 daaaaaang
00:40 bro driving through those mountains in a supra has to feel unreal (im from florida)
man i need this for my camry. it doesnt have a rear bumper tow hook or anything to mount one there
Bro wait this was you guys?? That shot was amazing 🔥🔥
yup that was us! haha did you see the reel on Instagram?
@@vinhgeta Yeah I did. I was mind blown when I saw it! So crazy hahaha
What resolution do you record in? My DJI Pocket 2 doesn't seem to allow tracking while in 4k mode
It’ll allow tracking at 24 fps :)
Hey, quick questions, what if instead of a battery bank, I just plug it into a USB port in the car? I'm planning on using my Nissan Rogue to record roller shots like this.
You can totally charge through the usb port or through the 12V port
@@vinhgeta appreciate it. Two more questions though. So I drive a Nissan Rogue SV 2022 and from what I know, it does not have a place to put a back tow hook so what options would you recommend for me? And did you attach the wireless microphone for the exhaust audio ?
@@prasidgupta4874 A strong suction cup and depending where you place the camera it can pick up audio no problem. Otherwise, you're fighting wind and aero. I just add audio to clips usually.
Did you just use” auto” with ND filter?
Would you mount it in the front of the car? (Do you think the osmo 2 would handle the wind pressure? )
damn, looks like ill be copping a Raceseng View Tug and DJI Pocket 2 😭😭
😂
You mean BMW commercial that went viral! 😂
I would love to do this but would it still look cool with a Toyota Corolla ?
Corollas are sick! Would love a GR one :)
Hi! Any chance that someone has an alternative product from Europe?
#amazing
What do you guys use for audio for the cars?
Jimmy is a wizard.. haha I dont know what he uses
Run it back with the pocket 3
Does it have to be that towhook? Or can it be used with any towhook?
It can be a suction cup :)
Great video! These cars are very nice, but I just hate mk5 supras so much.
Have you driven one?
Thank you! I love the MK5’s gotta give it a try!
Where can we see the video?
it was a instagram reel that went viral lol
0:10 0:17 0:22 0:28 0:39 absolutely beautiful
Ps where is the video? want to watch it! 👍
Settings?
Did you guys put it on auto ISO ?
Max 200 iso
@@omaR.media. 24fps ;)
Awwwnker
4K how many fps ?
30 fps~
got an instagram mane?
yup! its @vinhgeta
@@vinhgeta much love, keep up the work brodie ur energy is great
@@jordanw4056 appreciate you!
Dude, you're lying. I don't believe. How is this small camera know how to handle this kind of footage ?
I wear a helmet in my Cadillac XTS. I’m hitting 65mph and getting all the thumbs up from fellow road ragers
Why would you need a helmet in your car going 65?
