I work with suction cups a lot. Prep your panel and wipe with 91% alcohol so the panel has no debris and created a way better vacuum for the suction cup.
@@BoisesBaggedSuprause water to dampen with a clean microfiber cloth. Don’t use alcohol on the suction cup itself (just the panel so it makes the panel more grippier) because it will dry the rubber out.

I use my iPad as a monitor for shooting dance and I can have a big screen to see how I am getting shots. You could get an IPad mount if you are doing it on the regular.
Great video and product! I have been looking for the best way to get a solid arm using the pocket 3 for my channels videos and this is a great solution! Just purchased mine!
This is true but I don't think you will have as much benefit as using a pocket 3 because using the app you can move the gimbal from inside the car to line up shots and follow the movements of whatever you are tracking. With another type of camera all you are getting is a stabilized static angle.
привет из Москвы. очень красивые кадры. плохо знаю английский, но многое понял интуитивно. pocket 3 у меня есть, сегодня поеду покупать присоску.Спасибо за обзор. Вы классные
Question: Can you detach the Suction Cap to use this while walking + filming? Basically use it in the same way as something like ScottyMakesStuff produce?
Sam have you used the mount on the top of your vehicle yet? I'm curious how it handles with a bit of wind involved at highway speed. That would be my typical mount setup on my C8 Corvette.
What was that extra metal bracket you had on the extended battery? My concern is the plastic clips that hold the extension handle and the battery might break over time. That extra handle looks like it helps secure things more
I have a Tilta cage for the Pocket 3, its pretty cool gives you nato rails and a lot of 1/4 20 mounts. Yeah the battery clip holder always worries me but so far so good
Tell me about the settings please 🙏 what shutter speed should I use? I was told that if you shoot in 25 frames, then the shutter speed is 35-40. also at 50 frames the shutter speed is 80-90 is this true?
@@SootyWebster So what I've done is, especially with the newer mics and auto audio levels, I just make sure that I keep it on auto, adjust the camera audio level to be normal, and then when I record the audio inside the mic, its already 32 bit, so I just sync them and then I can adjust it however I like it
At what speed does wind cause the gimbal to fail? I've been doing these shots with the original Osmo and the Pocket 1 and 2, and they seem to give up at around 45 to 50 mph.
You want to mount it where it's protected from the flying wind.....so as close to the bottom on the rear bumper without the wind hitting it. At that level you could probably go as fast as you want with out any failure. If you are putting it in a place where the wind can get to it easily then yeah....what you experienced sounds about right. Some have shown mounting the pockets on the front hood pointed forward and going a decent speed. ...even if it's possible it's a quick way to put great strain on the motors and ruin the device faster.
@@getfmlr I've never had an original Osmo completely fail. When the gimble overloads, it simply goes limp. Then you reset it. Of course more wind will cause more strain. That's why I asked if you've run one of these in wind at speeds faster than 45 with any success. .
@@johnpolnik Even completely shielded from wind it goes limp? By failure I meant the gimbal portion....failing to keep working to stabilize... Well unless someone isn't being honest, all the shots I've seen with the OP3 look to be achieved at fairly high speeds mounted on the back bumper...freeways, highways. I don't own one...doing my research by watching videos.
@@getfmlr not sure what you’re missing here. Of course there will be no failure without wind resistance. The whole point of my question is can the Osmo 3 withstand more resistance than the original? If you’re only shooting the front of a car, then a rear mount on the pilot car is fine. What do you do when you want to do a follow shot and have to mount on the front of the pilot? Does the Osmo 3 do any better than the previous generations in speed resistance performance? Sounds like you just don’t know.
@@johnpolnik I do not but you never mentioned you wanted front facing shots anywhere...till now. I even asked for clarification in my very first reply. I can only respond based on info given 😐 I CAN tell you one thing though....if this thing could handle those types of winds then no one would buy bigger gimbal or setups....

The quality is insane on this small thing!
That rolling footage on the freeway was insane !!
that shit was FIREEEE. Now this makes me want to buy a bike again just to do this with my pocket 3

what filter you use? ND 16 maybe?
I need a link to that spoiler. Been looking for something like that for a while.
oh yeah
did you get the mount directly from there website or amazon?
Was any stabilization added in post to remove any micro vibrations?
Nope! All straight out of the camera

The cage doesnt secure the connection to the camera, its just an accessory made by Tilta giving you more mounting options
