Just added the Armaspec SRS (C) to my 556 M&P 15 OR and I absolutely love it, less noise my electronic earmuffs have to block out. After years in the military it’s nice to shoot all day and not have to listen to that twang after the shot. You’ll like it.
Absolutely - makes a difference, glad I’m not the only one where the twang drives them nuts. Happy it’s worked out for you, thanks for the feedback and comment. I appreciate you being part of the squad - be safe and stay vigilant 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸.
I thought this was a really cool item and wanted to give it a try. It definitely took away the noise I was hearing from the spring & buffer. The recoil reduction was minimal, most likely due to me shooting it on a 5.56/223 platform. I'd bet there would be a considerable reduction on a larger caliber, something I'll have to test further. Would you try something like this, why or why not?
Nice setup! Long as you chose the correct weight for the captured spring you should be good to go. Like my example - I was running a h2 buffer with a carbine spring before on my 5.56 suppressed and I got the Armaspec h2 setup to replace it & match the same weight. Works like a charm! Subs shouldn’t be an issue if you have the weight right. If the gun shoots suppressed with subs now and you know the weight. Match it up to the correct one for the armaspec.
@@VPTACTICAL I watched an armaspec video (from the company)It was called armaspec SRS vs SMB.And it said with the srs you should go down one weight and with the smb you stay at your regular buffer weight.Glad its working for you they should really make it more known if in fact a person needs to go down a weight.i am really on the fence about buying one .The recoil reduction sounds tempting .Is it even that noticable?

Just got mine delivered today and there is a night and day difference with the Srs you don’t get any of that spring scratching the inside of the buffer annoyance but now all smooth and quiet I have yet to go to the range to test it out but so far happy with it the way it sounds and how much smoother it is.

That’s a valid point if you have a carrier with a weight in it. It’s not very common, at least from what I’ve seen. I own multiple AR’s and have shot plenty of others. None that ever had a weight inside of the carrier itself, seems to be more common with 9mm AR style guns. Not to say that it couldn’t be found in a 5.56/.223 platform. I never even noticed spring noise until videos started trying to point it out to me. I'm a minimalist. The simpler the better, less parts to fail. Go ahead and add multiple layers of single points of failure to your weapon systems and pay hundreds of dollars to do it. I'll stick with a $15 dollar spring and somehow survive the sound of it. Is it cool? I don't know. Probably not all that cool if it fails when you need it the most.

@@VPTACTICAL Fair enough and understandable. Gadgets are cool. Two pieces of advice that always stuck with me. Better to buy a $400 optic and train to use it, than a $1200 optic and not be able to train with it. I've got TWO.Both fail in a middle of competition........Garbage.When it broke i was unable to even disassembly at the field,,,,,,,Still angry on that garbage
Wow! Thanks for the honest feedback, any resolve to the issue? Company take care of you?
I got 2 of them on my mid lengths they work perfectly fine and is true what they say about it smooth like butter and dose reduce recoil alot u probably got a bad one but I hope u got a new one and enjoyed it 🤟
I appreciate your feedback, thank you!
@@VPTACTICAL I've had mine fail, BUT mine was an earlier generation that still used a screw instead of the roll pin to hold everything together. The screw backs out allowing the buffer to come apart and lock up the gun. I was glad to see they've changed the design so that is no longer an issue.
@@ryankarrar6107 You and me both, sounds like a headache for sure. Hopefully they got you squared away, thanks for the feedback and comment. I appreciate you being part of the squad, be safe and stay vigilant 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸.
That’s a valid point - could be good for competition or a range gun. Nothing wrong with simple, all my other guns are running traditional spring setups. I wanted to test this out and see what the buzz was all about. Thanks for the comment and I appreciate you being part of the squad. Be safe and stay vigilant 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸.
@@VPTACTICAL Fair enough and understandable. Gadgets are cool. Two pieces of advice that always stuck with me. Better to buy a $400 optic and train to use it, than a $1200 optic and not be able to train with it. I was in the Army at 17 and there was more than once that I had to pick up someone elses' rifle and use it to stay alive. Fear the man with one gun. He probably knows how to use it.
@user-qu6dv6qu8d That’s great advice, I try to be as proficient as possible with all my gear. Although I tend to stick to a few that I primarily would use in an emergency situation. I appreciate your service and sacrifice - go Army! 🫡
Its still a spring could fail about as much as stock and u didnt notice the noise cause ur unaware
@@Adam-t5j1n I've NEVER seen an AR spring fail. Unaware of spring noise against the sound of a gunshot? Your ears must be a LOT better than mine.
Dosen't work in all rifles. That is in the disclaimer, tried 2 weights still jammed. Save your stock buffer and spring. Nicely made part but try before settling on it as your end all.
Thanks for the reminder much appreciated! That’s a good point to note. Bummer it didn’t work out for you, just curious what rifle did you try it in?
So…NOT a review. Got it.
Not sure what you mean by that but if you care to explain, then constructive feedback is welcome. 🤙🏻🤙🏻
@@VPTACTICAL well, you titled the video as a review, but you didn’t really review anything. You showed us the product, then asked our opinions..
So, repeat-Repeat-repeat-Repeat but doesn’t drop it in to make the video at least worth something! Could have been a useful instruction video.
Thanks for the feedback, maybe I’ll drop a short that shows the install. I appreciate your honesty. 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸
So on and so forth..... : D
What can I say, I’ve picked up a lot of old time phrases from older family members haha. 😂
