Armaspec (SRS) Stealth Recoil Spring Worth The Hype?
Constantly "slapping" the pistol will wear out that notch. It is only thin sheet metal.
If excessive force was used I could see your point. That being said these guns are built and designed to be slapped, it’s even in the manuals for the AP5 and HK MP5. Here’s the exceprt from the AP5: “While holding the firearm in your primary hand, use the other hand to slap the charging handle downward, disengaging it and allowing it to fly forward.” The HK is here: “Vigorously slap the cocking handle out of the indent.” Long as you’re not using excessive force, then you’re good to go and this is the proper operation of the firearm. Mine are not safe queens - I take them out and shoot. If they wear out then they’ll get fixed or repaired. Thanks for the comment and I hope I was able to shed some light on the topic. I appreciate you being part of the squad - be safe and stay vigilant 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸.
@VPTACTICAL I don't know about the AP5, but the MP5 is tuff as nails. We shot/carried them when I was with Dept Treasury. We shot/ slapped the heck outta them and there were no problems that I was aware of.
I have a diamondback db15, so I believe it has a mid lenght gas system? If so, the h2 4.6 oz would work well?
I believe that you are correct, it is a mid length gas system based on my research. That being said you’ve got the option to purchase the spring setup with one weight. Alternatively they sell a SRS AR15 kit which comes with the C, H, and H2 weight in the package. It’s only a few dollars more and would make more sense, especially if you don’t have an adjustable gas block. Another component of it is whether or not you’re running suppressed. For the money I’d spring for the kit, that way you can “tune” it to your specific gun. They also now sell the weights separately to swap out and they’re relatively inexpensive. I hope this helps point you in the right direction. Thanks for the comment and I appreciate you being part of the squad. Be safe and stay vigilant 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸.
@VPTACTICAL I can't seem to find that kit. Is there a part # ?
Took me a minute to find it: ARM253-AR15KIT That should help haha
@VPTACTICAL very helpful, thank you very much. I looked all over their website and couldn't find it lol.
@A.C.71 All good - happened to me the second time I looked for it, the wording of what I was searching made a big difference.
Wow! Thank you and really cool!!!! The Matrix, woah!
Haha thanks man! 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thank you!
You got it 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸!
What do you guys/gals use besides a traditional led sled?!?
Hey what magwell is that?
GGmagwells aka grit grips - they actually make them in aluminum now instead of poly. Thanks for the comment and I appreciate you being part of the squad. Be safe and stay vigilant 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸.
@VPTACTICAL awesome thank you. Likewise brother
Happy to help!
The owner of Q is a piece of garbage, not fun to deal with when their gear shits the bed. Will NEVER buy from them again.
Where can one of those base plates be purchased?
They’re made by a company called custom machined concepts, a quick google search and you should be able to pull them up. They make the base plates, magwells, and they’ve got a +2 extension coming. I’d link the site for you, but YT will take action against me. Thanks for the comment I appreciate you being part of the squad. Be safe and stay vigilant 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸.
"The underbelly of the slide", lol
It was down yonder haha, underbelly is right. 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks for the differences. Ive found their claws don't do a good job of pulling the firearm grip closer to help with printing.
Happy to help! I’ve tried both with and without claw, definitely made a difference to me. The butt of the gun sticks out way farther and prints without the claw. I suppose some of it could be body build related as well. Have you found a better solution or did you change out the claw?
🔥🔥🔥
🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸
Just got one but havnt fired it yet, can’t wait. Good presentation!
Congrats on the new gun, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Sure the ammo is a little pricey in comparison to 9mm, but man this gun is just a blast to shoot. Whenever I shoot it at the range it definitely turns some heads! Thanks for the comment and kind words, I appreciate you being part of the squad. Be safe and stay vigilant 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸.
May be a stupid question but would it matter vs having the comp slide vs standard? Or is it compatible for both?
It’s based on the platform itself - shouldn’t make a difference if you have the comped slide or not. Long as it’s made for the 43x/micro dagger platform you should be good to go. Thanks for the comment and I appreciate you being part of the squad. Be safe and stay vigilant 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸.
What is the pull weight after the swap? Would had been great too see this just for some clarity on any slight change on the pull weight
Hello good sir! Sorry for the delayed response, I’ve been super busy. I made a video to your comment, check it out: Will changing your trigger shoe lower pull weight?!? #pewpew #triggers #pewpew #pistolonly #sidearm th-cam.com/users/shortsuGHNEnmDr7g?feature=share
Very helpful!
Thank you!! 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸
Not sure if this happens to you, but I’ve been really looking for an answer and I haven’t found one. After a month of having the magazine filled with 15 rounds as I carry it with 15+ one in the chamber. When I practice at the range, it would no longer lock the slide back as it does not push the mag catch up high enough. Now I use the micro dagger magazine on my Glock 43X and this happens but when the magazine is brand new, it does not happen. Does this happen to anyone else? I’m also thinking about buying the micro dagger because of this issue.
It appears to be the same issue that I’m having, when the mag was brand new I didn’t have this issue. Seems like a problem with the spring and follower, my understanding is that PSA will send you replacement parts to rectify the issue. You have to setup a RMA/ticket with them to get it resolved. I’m going to put in my ticket today and see what happens. Thanks for the comment and I appreciate you being part of the squad. Be safe and stay vigilant 🇺🇸🇺🇸🤙🏻🤙🏻. P.S. - I’ll post a follow up video once I have a resolution.
Can anyone recommend a holster for the Dagger compact with a TLR7X light ?? I bought one from PSA the “cloak” and there was a review that stated it fit the compact - $70 holster and it doesn’t fit
Check out border town, I’ve heard good to things about them, otherwise “we the people holsters.” You may also look at Alien gear - the first two look like they already have options for the dagger with the Tlr7, hope this helps. Thanks for the comment and I’ll see you around the channel!
@ Hey I appreciate the reply. I’ll definitely check them out. I’m thinking about getting the Dagger Micro C-1 . I’ve seen holsters for it just not for the compact lol !
Can’t go wrong with the C-1, I love the platform. Aside from normal break in procedures it’s been a solid gun. I had an issue with one mag, gun not locking back but nothing major. Here’s a link to the video: th-cam.com/video/7I-wuP_yN8c/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Ns0i-ZA06aldSjuI
@ Hey does it feel small ? I have a G3C and to me that feels small, and I know they are close in size
I’d say they’re similar in size - the micro dagger is based on the g43x and the c-1 the g48. If you’re familiar with those platforms, those are the direct comparisons. I’ve got plenty of grip and purchase on the micros, I’ve got larger hands too. My $0.02
I think one of the biggest pros is optics clearance. Trying to reach up under some big glass to reach a rear charger can be tricky. Not sure how the side chargers could be heavier, in my mind, you're deleting the fwd assist, dust cover and T-handle. I would think the plug and side charging handle would weigh less. Another pro, not that i recommend it, you can push on the charging handle if you're not quite in battery. Con: no dust cover PS: Gibbz arms and a few others make non-reciprocating side chargers
Thanks for the feedback, you’re right and I’ve ran into the issue with my larger scopes. Pain in the butt trying to charge the rifle, I even swapped the charging handle to one that has large grip surfaces. It helps but still much tighter than I’d like. My side charger is hefty, feels much heavier than others (rear charging) I’ve built or bought. The upper on mine is much thicker metal and the Bcg feels heavier as well. The dust cover could certainly be a draw back depending on your intended use and environment. Thanks for the tip on the other manufacturers, I’ll check them out. I appreciate the comment and for you being part of the squad. Be safe and stay vigilant 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸.
Definitely more pros than cons, appreciate the tips!
I agree - they’ve been around for awhile, although it seems like they’ve started to gain traction in the market within the last few years. The old method is tried and true, this is just a different version of it. Thanks for the comment, I appreciate you! 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸
I wouldn’t mind trying a side charging AR, looks cool!
They most certainly have a cool factor to them and there’s something about racking the charging handle on the side that feels right. Thanks for the comment and I appreciate you being part of the squad. Be safe and stay vigilant 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸
I recently built a ar with the Bear Creek arsenal side charge in 300 blk. I cannot stand ar normal handles. Not used to ars and shot my brothers ar10. After being used to my cetme and ap5. The gas in my face was a huge turnoff. I love mine. Few hundred rds so far and runs like a sewing machine. Plus I run a scope so there's that as well.
Awesome I’m glad to hear that setup worked out for you. I’ve got mine chambered in 6.5 Grendel and it’s been a blast to shoot. I don’t mind the rear charging systems but I do enjoy using the side charger setup. Thanks for the comment and I appreciate you being part of the squad. Be safe and stay vigilant 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸.
If I missed any pros or cons, let me know! drop a thought below...
I agree I hate hinged triggers. They look and feel cheap. No manufacturer should use them
^^This! Bingo!!
Inch pounds not foot pounds
You’re right - I’ve been working on my vehicles and foot lbs gets stuck in my head. Thanks for the correction - Happy New Year! I appreciate you being part of the squad, be safe and stay vigilant! 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸
I don't know why you beat the hell out of your pen. All you have to do is pull up on your slide catch. You're gonna f*** your Spring up.
No pens where harmed in the making of this video. All that being said you’re right - I goofed on this one, live and you learn. I’ve learned a lot of what I do by trial and error. Thanks for the tip 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸.
Mine self-destructed and it was difficult to reach them but I did eventually. They sent a replacement and said to toss the old one. Maybe a one of a kind experience bit I would not recommend.
Thanks for the feedback, bummer to hear that happened. I’m glad they replaced it despite them being difficult to get ahold of… did you buy a different brand or go back to the traditional spring setup?
I have lots of high end guns and this one punches about its weight class and the paddles are great !!! Fantastic fighting gun!!!
One heck of a gun that’s for sure, HK in a league of their own! Thanks for the comment and feedback, I appreciate you being part of the squad. Be safe and stay vigilant 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸.
As a fire arms enginner Its the follower and spring
That was my hunch, thanks for the confirmation. I appreciate the feedback and comment. Hope to see you around the channel! 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸
What a difference!
Hopefully this gets fixed quickly 🤙🏻🤙🏻
Very informative, thanks as always!
Much appreciated, thank you for the comment 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸
Anyone else upgrade their weaver scope base to something different, what brand/model did you choose and what's been your experience thus far? P.S. - I meant INCH POUNDS lol, not foot pounds 🤙🏻🤙🏻
You dont need suppressor height sights to use a suppressor efficiently. You can see fine while using a suppressor.
You’re not wrong - I’ve used standard height sights with a suppressor and it works fine. That being said It’s much easier with said suppressor height sight’s but not impossible. The new models come with the suppressor height sights and the older version like mine have standard height sights. Thanks for the comment and feedback. I appreciate you being part of the squad, be safe and stay vigilant. 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸.
Nice upgrades clean setup....Tactical Pontoon is definitely a solid dude....he helped me out of some trigger issues.....hope to get a system from him soon....kool vid Merry Christmas 🎅🏼 🎄 👍🏼🎯💯
I wonder how this compares to yhe johnny glocks modified factory trigger shoes for $30
Worth a shot, I haven’t explored the Johnny Glocks stuff as of yet. I’m interested too, lol.
Is it a FA carrier?
To my understanding the factory carrier on these guns is not FA, that being said if you have your FFL/SOT, then modifications can be made (legally) and or parts swapped to accomplish the task. Hope this helps, thanks for the comment and I appreciate you being part of the squad. Be safe and stay vigilant 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸.
I have an Overwatch Precision Poly DAT and it has inadvertently went “binary” (shooting once on the pull and once on the reset) 10ish times. Cool and all, but not when you aren’t expecting it.
I hear you on that, sounds like an issue with the disconnector and or sear engagement. I’d probably reach out to overwatch and get some insight from them. Hopefully they can help resolve the issue!
I need a 4 lb single-stroke trigger for defense that is reliable, durable and resistant. Is this a good option or do you recommend another one? thanks for the time I subscribe Greetings from Spain. ❤
Hello and welcome! That’s a good question - typically for defense weapons, many folks are going to stick with a factory trigger or something similar(milspec). Mainly due to the trigger pull weights and requirements by their department or branch of service (military). Something also to consider is the fight or flight response, which could unintentionally cause you to trip the trigger with a lighter pull weight in a stressful situation. That being said I generally prefer for duty weapons for the trigger pull to be around 6lbs. For mil-spec style but upgraded you may consider the ALG ACT OR ALG QMS, which are doing to be around 6lbs for trigger pull. If you’re adamant about having a lower trigger pull then consider the Wilson Combat TTU or Larue Tactical MBT2S. I hope this helps point you in the right direction, thanks for the question and I appreciate you being part of the squad. Be safe and stay vigilant 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸.
I bought one for my 556 16" won't go back far enough to load the next round. I just ordered a new one with a lower weight. Hopefully that'll fix it.
Some of it will be trail and error to match up with your rifle, hopefully the lighter weight option will work. Keep me posted on it!
Hows it held up in terms of reliability? I have an Omega 36m that I am swapping between a 14.5 mid length 556 and a 10" 300blk, I already purchased one because I'm always on the hunt for improvement, for now I am using a h2 in both rifles with good reliability but but wonder how yours experiences are going with this. Thanks!
I’ve only had a positive experience running it both suppressed and unsuppressed in my PSA AR. I’m using a YHM Turbo on a .223/5.56. Generally I’ll report back after further testing with positive or negative feedback. Thanks for the comment and I appreciate you being part of the squad. Be safe and stay vigilant 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸.
In the future you should put a link to the part
I’d love to, sadly YT will shutoff comments when I link things, I don’t want them taking further action beyond that either.
Where do you mount your bipod?
Is that a PSA DAGGER MICRO 9MM PISTOL - SHIELD CUT W/ HOLOSUN 407K, SNIPER GREEN SLIDE, 2-TONE? I'm curios because it almost looks like a Glock 43X.
It is a PSA micro dagger - the model is the extreme carry aka the standard version, which is modeled after the g43x. You’ve nailed it haha. Thanks for the comment and I appreciate you being part of the squad. Be safe and stay vigilant 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸 Essentially the same gun as the PSA bundle you mentioned, although mine has an eps carry and upgraded trigger. I started with the optics cut pistol (no bundle) and added my own accessories.
@@VPTACTICAL Thank you for the information. I really enjoyed the video. And love the look of that PSA Dagger. I will have to company the dimensions of the Dagger with the G43X. Great video. I'm curious. What accessories did you add, in addition to the Holosun EPS Carry?
@psledoux Thank you! I added CMC baseplates to the magazines and a tactical pontoon trigger upgrade. The micro dagger and g43x are very comparable in terms of dimensions etc.
Nice review. Just ordered this in green dot version for their black friday deal on amazon for 165. As others have said, if I had to spend any more, id maybe save for a 407 or 507, but at the price I got it, I feel thats fair for an up and coming optic. Time will tell if this will be as reliable as a holosun and worthy of being on my edc.
Thanks man and I appreciate the feedback, I also remember a time when a lot of folks were against Holosun and they’re considered a viable option now. I think once the company has proven itself then it’s a different story. Like you said time will tell! I appreciate the comment and feedback, hope to see you around the channel. Be safe and stay vigilant 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸.
It's an iPhone, that's why it won't show anything clear. Lmfao
lol - weird thing is it’s only the dots on the optic it won’t pick up haha. Go figure!
Great video. Keep it up bro!
@@Flummer99 Much appreciated, thank you!! I hope to see you around the channel more often 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸
The cell phone db meter is pointless. a ar is like 170db ish and the phone always shows about 120 . If its not accurate ya cant say well it gives you a idea of how loud . A 22lr is over 120 db . My car stereo was 145 .7 and it didnt have anything on a 12ga or ar or 9mm.
You’re not wrong, working with what I had at the time. Besides getting an accurate reading indoors with a bunch of other people shooting is going to be a challenge . Thanks for the feedback!
@VPTACTICAL i want some 223 that are quiet enough to not need ear protection without a supressor does that exist
Aside from a pellet or bb-gun, no real firearm that I’m aware of is hearing safe without a suppressor, regardless of super or subsonic rounds fired. There may be one off products that could potentially do that, however, nothing that I’d trust my hearing with personally.
@VPTACTICAL if it soundes like 22lr ish or 410 . Id be happy. Not because of protection ill wear that . Just trying to not piss neighbors off . 22 and 410 are not near as loud as my 9mm or 223 or 12ga 22 makes a quiet shell that sounds like a pellet gun just looking for the equivalent in 9 mm and 223. I know they wont sound like a pellet gun . 120-130 db would be good but not the 150db and up regular shells.
@VPTACTICAL CCI makes a 22LR quiet just wondering if there's the same idea as that with 9 mm and 223 I know they probably won't cycle to semi-automatic but that's fine
The 510c. Do you get 100% co witness to ur ar iron sights?? Or do have to get a riser?? Thx
I’m running this on a Stribog SP9A1 and it does not co-witness. I’d imagine it would be possible with an AR front post, unless you have back up sights. That being said I cannot confirm it’ll cowitness on the AR platform because I haven’t tried it. I might suggest checking out Reddit or AR forums. Hope this helps point you in the right direction. Thanks for the question and I appreciate you being part of the squad. Be safe and stay vigilant 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸.

What mag well is that? Is looks very nice
Thanks! That’s from ggmagwells aka gritgrips, they use to make them in polymer and now it’s aluminum. Still around the same 30-40/unit, however, they have a multitude of colors to choose from. Hope this helps 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸.
