These tips are all great but the biggest thing you can do is to actually put the stock in your shoulder and get a good cheek weld. It's pretty popular to not do this today.
Minor difference for the most part. I think the super short barrel craze gets most people in hot water when it comes to recoil. A 16" gun with mid length gas system and an h2 buffer is gonna feel like a bb gun compared to a 10.5" with carbine length gas. But then again it's all relative really
I have a Grendel Hunter muzzle brake on a 20' barrel (Obviously with a rifle length gas tube.) with the BCM recoil mitigation system and it's smooth as butter.
*Precision Armament’s* true crème de la crème is Hypertap. Expensive so I only have 3 of them. But they don’t require a crush washer, or any timing washers, and they have the greatest recoil reduction in muzzle brakes so far.
I've been thinking about trying an A5 buffer system setup and the riflespeed adjustable gas system. Currently rocking a good ole H2 buffer with a carbine spring with a dead air xeno flash hider to accept my AB A10 5.56 can but it shoots great. Great video
The Precision brake he shows off is insanely good at its job. I had it on a 20 inch Colt and the damn thing didnt budge even a little. I prefer flash hiders but it's definitely going to kill your recoil. I would advise against brakes on a fighting rifle unless you're using it as a silencer host, because giant fireballs don't help you avoid return fire.
So if you wanted the best of both worlds with the gas block on a fighting rifle you’d use an adjustable gas block to figure out the perfect gas port size setting and then buy a fixed gas block that is that exact setting? Is that possible?
I can verify the precision armorment brake with venting back towards the shooter works extremely well! Im using the 762 version on my ar10. Its makes a massive difference. My ar10 has basically no recoil now. I'm using it until I get my 30 cal can. The precision armorment brake is not friendly to anyone standing on to side/behind you. They will not like that thing at all. So it's not good for range but perfect for hunting in my opinion. Looking at hub version of the CAT ODB. Any other 30cal can recommendations?
This is for anyone that has done this and done it successfully, How freaking weird was it the fist few magazines? Was a bit into the freaky end for me, almost like watching a new anime no fore knowledge about it, then halfway in the brother & sister scene happens. Like WTF JUST HAPPENED!!!???
BRT EZ TUNE GAS TUBES paired with Springco Color Springs , KAK LW Buffers and NOX9 KEYMO.. My main 2Gun Setups is this build and has absolutely 0 recoil .. BCM Upper , Radian Raptor LT , Brownells LW BCG with BCM Bolt Internals , BA 556n 13.9 HF CL Hanson with Pinned Nox9 KEYMO , BRT EZ Tune 0.073 Gas Tube ( equivalent to 0.070 Middy Gas Port ) , FCD / CMT 12.8" Mlok Rail , Vortex Micro 3x , Eotech EXPS2-2 , LWRCI IC Lower , Springco Yellow Spring , KAK 1.7oz Buffer , Geissele SD3G trigger , BCM SOPMOD MOD 1 Stock / Mod 3 GFG , FCD Ambi STS and Rattle can paint job.. I want as less Gas and less mass as possible while maintaining 100% reliability . I have 4k to 5k thru this setup and it my personal favorite to shoot . Cans add weight which in theory can reduce recoil . All I know is I can shoot significantly faster without a Can Vs With Can . I have yet to shoot a Can that actually reduces recoil . Lastly I'm not a fan of Adj Gas blocks. I've tried them all . I have yet to find one that doesnt seize up or completely fail . BRT EZ TUNE TUBES are the way to go for sure . Swap out the BRT Tube after 10k rounds . I'd rather pay 60 bucks for BRT Tuned Gas Tube every 10k then trusting any Adj Gas blocks
Hey Caleb no one has a problem with your guns being dirty because you use them, hell we all shoot our ARs but do you not clean them when you get home from the range?
If you need recoil reduction on a 5.56 gun you need A LOT more practice and to hit the gym more than the couch. It’s one of the softest shooting guns ever created even in its “milspec” configuration
i wont use adjustable gas blocks…maybe in a competitive rifle. nothing serious. an H2 and geissele braided wire had made everything i own not a problem at all
Caleb, while those do reduce the recoil, they're obnoxiously loud...a good middle ground is the Surefire brake...still helps a lot, but the geometry of the ports, makes the blast not nearly as terrible as others breaks I've encountered.
MUZZLE BREAK IS THE WORST! Top 3. 1) more weight (quad rail, can, barrel contour) 2) longer gas system 3) longer buffer system. carb>a5>rifle And a fighting rifle with a brake? Terrible choice for indoor use, where you are more likely to use. Outdoor fighting is usually limited to LE and Military, neither would use a brake.
The only rifle with less recoil than a 5.56/.223 AR is a BB gun. What has happened to people so averse to recoil they need to reduce it on a rifle like this? OK, if you are using perhaps one of the higher performing cartridges, recoil can be an issue but the 5.56/.223? Maybe just watch a videogame and yell out bang bang? If the recoil of a 5.56/.223 really bothers someone, maybe it's time to just go out and fire the darn thing and realize that your shoulder isn't going to hurt, you won't get bruise and no harm will come to you. You will not get an owwie firing an AR15, promise.
I changed my 16" carbine barrel out for a new one of the same twist and chrome lining. The original barrel had enough rounds sent through it that the chrome lining is virtually non-existent and the gas port had eroded due to plasma jetting. The new barrel shoots and has a recoil impulse much like the original barrel did back in 2018.
My teen daughters are like 110 lbs wet. Anything I can do to get rid of the spring feel, or minor recoil lets them compete faster. They will shoot a 308, but not fast.
Schuster makes an aftermarket adjustable gas plug for your M1. You can decrease the bolt speed w8th this gas plug which could reduce felt recoil. It may also make your rifle unreliable.
The first was to reduce recoiln on an ar 15 is to understand it has the least amount of recoil of about any firearm.. so if you need to reduce recoil on one then you shouldn’t own one. If you can’t control And ar15 then you can’t control any firearm and you should go ahead and sell all your firearms 😂😂. This is a dumb video. Dumb topic cause of what insaid above.. So if you wondering why your channel is failing to grow.. this is why..
What recoil? Just hit you target with the first shot. Carried the M-16A2 and irw light and fast. I assume there is not much difference with an M-4. Then again, all my ARs have carring handles except the Bull Barrel, so they all have IRON SIGHTS.
556 has recoil really didn't we do this with the crybaby reporter got laughed at for years. Now if you using adult calibers 308 and up we cant talk about some recoil even that is manageable. I run a 12.5 308 sbr , 8.5 300 black out sbr and a 11.5 556 ar pistol. i have had surgery on both of my shoulders so i would notice if recoil was a problem.
We aren't talking about stopping the gun from throwing the shooter back. We're talking about having a gun that you can shoot fast and stay on target at 25-50 yards.
You have no idea that when people read your comments they snicker and laugh at you because you're a buffoon. You think you make good points but you sound like an uneducated mid wit. Now you know how the world sees you.
Muzzle breaks are also great for reducing the amount of people who want to go shooting with you. 😂
Try the Surefire brake; it's not terrible at all. I have it on a 14.5in mid length.
Especially with a short barrel. Lol
That's why every single one of my rifles has the most aggressive loudest muzzle break I can find on them
Not sure why I’d need a brake on an AR15.
So true
I use JP silent capture recoil buffers and adjustable gas blocks in all my rifles. Love em.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
These tips are all great but the biggest thing you can do is to actually put the stock in your shoulder and get a good cheek weld. It's pretty popular to not do this today.
Blame the NVG operator tacticool crap for awful fundamentals
Steven Segal stance is the only way
I think that the cheapest & quickest way to reduce the felt recoil of an AR15 is to simply borrow or rent an AR10 & shoot 75 rounds thru it. Done
True, it's all relative
Enjoy your videos. We need more! A lot more!
Follow up topic: ways to reduce recoil on a 12ga, ways to reduce recoil on a 300 Win Mag or even 308. These would be useful topics.
What about carbine vs mid-length gas systems?
minor difffences i think but sure

People are gonna yell at me but I roll an SBR and putting a heavy buffer system in has made shooting it as smooth an experience as one can get
🤣🤣🤣🤣
@ I knew someone would laugh at it
I've been thinking about trying an A5 buffer system setup and the riflespeed adjustable gas system. Currently rocking a good ole H2 buffer with a carbine spring with a dead air xeno flash hider to accept my AB A10 5.56 can but it shoots great. Great video
Caleb rocking with the kung fu grips he’s got black one too
The Precision brake he shows off is insanely good at its job. I had it on a 20 inch Colt and the damn thing didnt budge even a little. I prefer flash hiders but it's definitely going to kill your recoil.

After watching this, i had to go grab my Sioincs sbr with a BCM A5 buffer system, and fondle it a lil😅
Blue Sprinco Spring with KAK H2 buffer in my 11.5
I would consider doing this to an ar-10, but an ar-15?
The bcm mk 2 system paired with a geissele super 42 rifle length spring is the smoothest thing out there.
Nice green Kung Fu grip
Number four: Start working out
So if you wanted the best of both worlds with the gas block on a fighting rifle you’d use an adjustable gas block to figure out the perfect gas port size setting and then buy a fixed gas block that is that exact setting? Is that possible?
YHM makes a suppressor gas block that you can drill out to the size you want.
Tac weld the port and re drill it xD
anyone know the exact models of the brakes @ 01:49
Is that adjustable gas block adjustable from the front of the muzzle/handguard?
18” bbl, rifle length gas system cuts recoil right off the bat😊 way better than a m4 if your scoped 👍
Thanks
Thanks.
Number one way is to grow a pair.

1.25x speed. You’re welcome.
What about Geissele super 42?
Dang, you already have the Lazarus 6!
No. 1 way is to invest in yourself, muscle mass..be fit. A limp man is never in control, a strong man maintains control in all of life's obstacles.
Been meaning to say this, Caleb your the best !
You’re.
You are.
Words matter and have definitions.
I don't care how you spell it, I appreciate the compliment!
Reduce recoil on a ar? OmG , we are doomed.
Any way to reduce the recoil on a slide action shotgun?
Caleb is Breaking the Law Breaking the Law..lol TH-cam won't like this lol.
For my other tip.....
I have a 5-1/2 lb 30-06. It's kinda snappy. Come fire 50 rounds thru it, then go back to your AR. You're welcome.
Oh yeah, the recoil from an AR15 is so devastating. Maybe you should get a Red Ryder BB gun
The BCM is a H1 equivalent and the Vltor is a H3 equivalent.
Almost no recoil? Haha The shorter the gas system the more recoil. Yes it does have recoil on shorter gas systems.
For all of you badass’ that feel no recoil impluse good on you! But it is fun to shoot a lightweight AR that has minimal recoil impulse!
This is for anyone that has done this and done it successfully,
How freaking weird was it the fist few magazines? Was a bit into the freaky end for me, almost like watching a new anime no fore knowledge about it, then halfway in the brother & sister scene happens. Like WTF JUST HAPPENED!!!???

Muzzle Brake
Adjustable Gas Block
Adding Weight
Silent Capture Buffer
Reasons why you want to reduce recoil:
Spotting where your shots hit.
Faster follow up shots.
Better precision at distance.
More enjoyable to shoot.
Jp tuned an polished buffer springs, dab of greese
How do I reduce the recoil from me seeing your hair??
How much milder recoil do you need on a .223 Rem? Just saying :p
“ARs don’t have recoil sunny!”
One shot doesn’t have much, but 9 inside of a second is a little more HP.
We're still doing this?
Hey Caleb no one has a problem with your guns being dirty because you use them, hell we all shoot our ARs but do you not clean them when you get home from the range?
What bcm buffer weight do your recommend?

Correction. Step 1: Buy a BRN180 upper. Your recoil has now been reduced by 75%.
The most obvious is weight , 10 lb ar , fast follow up
You cant buy fast repeatable followup shots.
Full auto is expensive but it can be bought
Caleb, while those do reduce the recoil, they're obnoxiously loud...a good middle ground is the Surefire brake...still helps a lot, but the geometry of the ports, makes the blast not nearly as terrible as others breaks I've encountered.
Adjustable gas block? Just tac weld the gas port and re dril it xD

WHAT RECOIL TRY A 3&1/2 12 GAUGE 30 OR 15 ROUNDS IN A ROW EVEN 308 IS NOT THAT BAD DON'T SHOOT IT THEN. STAY WITH YOUR 22 LR
Anyone know of a good muzzle brake for a 308 that won’t blow dirt all over you when in the prone position?

@@veteranironoutdoors8320. thanks for the intel brother. I appreciate it. 👊

Ummmm, it's a 223. If that recoil bothers you, just give up. Shooting isn't for you.
#1: go to the gym. .223 recoil should not be of concern to you unless you are physically infirm in some way.
My teen daughters are like 110 lbs wet. Anything I can do to get rid of the spring feel, or minor recoil lets them compete faster.
They will shoot a 308, but not fast.
Oh brother😂😂🙄 Just hold the gun properly and use your shoulder to push. The rest is just a gimmick to sell you something
Is there recoil on an ar-15? 😂😂😂
Yes; it’s called physics.
@@AJohnSmithNewton is annoying sometimes 😅
I prefer a muzzel break on my personal M109 Paladin, but don't see much need for one on my AR.
A suppressor on my rifle, though? Great idea!
