It’s been wonderful chatting with you in the comment section so far! So many of you are asking me where I purchased certain items featured in the video. I created links for you in the description portion below, so, if something piques your interest, you’ll know where to find it. 👍🏻
Hey Dominique, I am about to turn 33 and was wondering what your thoughts are on taking proactive measures for hormone health. Would it be wise to find a menopause specialist now or should women wait until they notice changes later on down the road?
@@Whit_Lin Too soon. When you reach around age 45, you’ll be entering the peri-menopausal years. That’s when you should see an endocrinologist for possible blood work, especially if you begin to observe changes. And when you reach age 50, see and ask your gynecologist about starting vaginal estrogen! As women enter menopause, their genitalia and urinary system begin to develop atrophy due to hormone deficiency. This is a progressive condition that if not treated will lead to severe tissue thinning-even disappearance of external tissues (eg, inner labia). The clitoris will begin to recede and can develop a skin “hood” over it. The urethra can also recede. The vagina becomes extremely dry and starts to burn. It loses its PH balance, which kills the good bacteria. This leads to repeated yeast and urinary tract infections. The vagina also shortens and narrows to the point where s$x is painful and sometimes impossible. Atrophy involves a whole host of horrible problems! The gold standard treatment is low dose vaginal estrogen. You take it the rest of your life because if treatment stops, your tissues and bladder will begin atrophying again and continue to progress.
Hi Dominique. I suffer from dry lips as well but I wasn't able to catch the brand name of your lip conditioner. Would you mind sharing it again? Thanks
Hi Dominique I wish you could come to Australia 🇦🇺 to visit. Allot of women would love your guidance on how to be strong and look up to you for advice on hair, clothing and life
I'm a quiet viewer.. but I need to say as if you've not heard this before... but this is the epitome of why you are so well respected and loved. You're an amazing woman. Thank you! 🌺
It's always a weird moment to realize you have stressors and anxieties just like the rest of us. You always seem so together and composed. I have fought hard against anxiety and depression, taking meds help. But walking regularly has been the biggest help. I hate to exercise, but walking gets me out of the house, hearing birds and children renews my life. I cook for myself mostly low fat veggie soups, so also lost weight. I am finally happy at 79!
Dominique, I've followed you from the beginning, and THIS is your best video so far. I turned 70 in February and I follow so much of your advice. One more thing that I will add, don't retire unless you have to. Find something that you love and continue to do it. God bless you as you bless others!
@@dianamarietaylor When you work 27 years in a very stressful job like mine...It's hard. I'm going to retire and work part-time at another job that's less stressful and won't take such a toll on my health.
I can't express how much Rune Organics has improved my daily wellness routine. The natural extracts are my favorite, and I've noticed a positive difference in my health. Highly recommended!
Dominique thank you so much for this video. Wanted to share a lil something that changed my life. 2 months ago I was blessed with a lil Yorkie and I have to say that I needed him more than he needed me. He’s helped me have purpose. To be more active, walking , playing chasing him. The emotional joy he has brought. Having a fur baby takes work but they do so much for your well being and most of all your heart. Just wanted to share that since well being was part of the convo. Again thank you so much for your videos Dominque ❤
My cats have saved me from myself. I couldn't even imagine life without having fur-babies in them. And sadly, just hours ago, I had to help "cross-over" one of my beloved cats, R.J. , he was 20 yrs. I rescued him, & some other's from a feral cat colony in my community where I had just moved to at the time. He was THE SWEETEST boy, & brought me Many yrs of love, companionship, & joy. It was SO HARD to let him go! He is now resting in peace in the arms of Jesus, & will be frolicking with his other kitty family members that have gone before him. I miss him So Much already!
Love love love your comment!!! So true!!! Animals can make a world of positive difference in our lives and give us renewed purpose! I’m so happy for you! I rescued a rabbit from a cruelty situation in 2019. At the time, I had no knowledge of rabbit care, nor was I looking to adopt one! But this rabbit was being victimized by our across the street neighbors and I could not stand to let it happen. When I rescued her, she was malnutritioned, underweight, filthy, dehydrated and scared of her own shadow. She was also terrified of humans. I showed her nothing but love, compassion, understanding and patience. She slowly began to trust me. Four years later and she’s now a total diva! I cry when I think about how much joy and happiness she has brought me. With her giant ears, she’s a great listener! 😅 We have long chats; she is my confidante. My profile pic is of her! Her name is JoJo. She’s an English Angora.
Hi Dominique! I really enjoy and appreciate watching your channel! I agree with you that health and wellness is not just “a one stop shop!” I just turned 59 and it took me many years to figure that out! If I could offer some helpful advice to this community, it would be, you know your body better than anyone else and you must be your own best advocate. I was diagnosed with MS 4 1/2 years ago (older than most people when diagnosed). I can’t tell you the number of times I went to the doctors and explained my symptoms, only to have them tell me, “you’re a busy mom and you work a full time job…just try and rest, eat healthy and take vitamins!” This was what I was told by several doctors (and I believed them, because they were doctors) for 30+ years! Finally in 2018, after spending a month in bed, I found a doctor that knew it was more serious than I had been told for years! After months of testing I was diagnosed with MS…the irony of this is she told me that I’ve probably had it for 30+ years! I don’t blame anyone but myself for not being my own advocate! I’m doing relatively well now and I love my MS doctor! I just wanted to stress to everyone, you know yourself better than anyone, so be an advocate for yourself!! God bless you all 🙏🏻💜
I love that you talk about depression and anxiety in a casual way, eliminating the stigma. You are such an inspiration! Also, I admire your discipline. My love for sugar has been with me all my life. Only now in my 50s am I feeling how bad it really is. So… something needs to change.
Taking HRT has helped so much with my sleep. Many women fear it will fuel cancer. I’m only one person but I am 67 and have been on it since my late 40’s without any result other than wellness. Thanks for all you do to inform women about their options for better health. All the best!
It’s nice to hear this. I’m turning 59 and I really thought I was past the point to “start” HRT. I thought they tried to wean you off after 60. Thanks for sharing!
I have been on Bio-identical HRI since 2015 and feel great too. What a misconception about it causing cancer. In the contrary, I feel it will alleviate the many stressors of menopause that can cause cancer.
I’m 64 and have been taking HRT for over 10 years. Lots of new, long term studies to show it’s benefits and not nearly as many side effects or contraindications as previously thought. I’m going to stay on it!
Agree with eating less. I am 62 and only 5'2" and my nutritionist said I was full of inflammation. Changed diet, eating less and intermittent fasting and lost 20 pounds right away. Also, nuts are a great snack but walnuts are the best because of their anti'inflammatory properties. Thanks for sharing your routing!
You are so clever - talking intelligently and articulately, and at the same time applying makeup flawlessly! Very inspiring video, Dominique. Thank you.😊
Such an informative video! Thank you Dominique! At 72 years old, I can’t stress enough how important it is to get/keep moving. I do Y class 2X week, at home workout video 2x per week, and the treadmill 1X per week. I’ve been doing intermittent fasting for about 5 months, have lost 15 pounds (did the Keto diet), and have never felt more energetic. Supplements are a part of my daily regimen also. I praise the Lord that my health has always been good, but now it seems to be optimum. You can do this ladies!
These 'woman to woman' chats are so uplifting and encouraging. Thank you. Side note: I love Yoga, but I have recently started dance lessons as a form of exercise too, and it is so fun! Salsa, merengue, cha-cha, swing, whatever gets me moving. At 50 yr old, I need to move to stop the old lady aches LOL :)
Learning those classic dances is so much fun. And learning and responding to all those different rhythms is certainly good for one's mental health. After a few months of dance studies I found myself being able to identify within a few seconds of hearing a song, which dance works with it. Many Frank Sinatra tunes work with the fox-trot, which I love !
I'm 49 years old. I hate menopause so bad. I hate hot flashes and dry vagina. I want my period back. I want my youth back. Why don't men get hormonal disruptions when they get old? Why don't they suffer from hot flashes? This is a sick joke than God has play on women. I'm pissed off.
Hi Dominique! I started watching your videos a couple of years ago after my 75 year old mother told me that she found this “wonderful lady” on you tube. I just turned 50 last month, and I had been struggling with severe menopause symptoms for 10 years. I’ve been a a Registered Nurse for 28 years and just recently got the nerve to ask my new wellness doctor about HRT. I started treatment about 3 months ago, and I have never felt better. There are so many women in our age group who suffer needlessly, and I appreciate your messages to us about health, wellness, diet and exercise as we continue to age. You are an inspiration to me, and I love your videos! Hello from Indiana! God bless you! ❤❤
I have had a health awakening in the past 6 months. On a mission to wellness, the most important thing in life is our health and wellbeing. Love your chats Dominique.
Wow! I’ve recently noticed that I have an unhealthy relationship with sugar. This has spoke volumes to me! You do an amazing job at always providing relatable, informative and helpful info on real life! Thank you, Dominique. Loved this and love you!
Jennifer, I have PCOS so my OBGYN told me to kick the sugar, 7 years ago and not only did I lose 70lbs but it regulated my periods, and I honestly feel so much better. I use stevia, and it has changed my life.
@@marthaspikes9669 May I ask which Stevia you use? There are so many out there, but I haven't liked one yet! Happy you found what works for you...I definitely need to get rid of sugar myself! Thank you!
@@dominiquesachsetv I know you must drink a lot of water...how much and also it seems like magnesium is all the wage....your thoughts? thank you and loved the video
I think this is by far my favorite video!! You are speaking to us out here like we all count for something and I think a lot of us really need to hear it more often and for different reasons. Thank you so very much for taking the time to create this one. You are truly a gift to us all. I know life can be hard for all of us including you Dom, hugs to you also!! Thank you for taking the time ;)
I'm 35 and I love these videos! I'm learning soooo much! These vlogs are my favorite kind of videos you make. You're a great role model for me. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us.
I loved being on HRT but developed estrogen driven breast cancer in my 4th year. Chemotherapy gave me permanent bald patches like male pattern baldness. 😢 I have to take an estrogen blocker for 5 years, but I’m so grateful to be in remission! Love your videos, beautiful Dominique!💗 Kathy Mayfield
Dominique I'm from Houston and used to love watching you as a news anchor I always thought you were so beautiful and you inspired me and so many ways but ever since I find your channel and I've been watching you and I'm aging myself in my 50s now I can't thank you enough for the advice that you give to all of us ladies I'm not living in Houston anymore I'm now in St Louis taking care of my elderly father but you've been a blessing in my life so I just wanted to thank you real quick. stay strong and beautiful!
Dominique, I've been praying for guidance for menopause issues. I sat down to watch your video, with my cup of coffee like I'm sitting with a friend, and here it is! Thank you so much for being so open and honest always, you are wonderful!
Hi Dominique, You are such a gift to everyone, God bless you. I have your book and have gifted it to several friends. I’m 85 and pretty healthy and right now my mission is to get my sodium to a healthy level. What an eye opener it was when I started checking nutritional labels, it’s in everything! I just love your mom, she is a kick.💕😊
One of the best videos you’ve done as far as what’s truly important in life. Treating ourselves well and taking care of our bodies. It’s a gift. Thank you for YOUR gifts that you bring to us each week! You truly make a difference! Much love to you Dominique! 🤗♥️
Perfect timing! I lose and gain 3-6 lbs over and over. Your information made me realize what I’m eating wrong. This is how I ate in my 30’s. Thank you so much!
I love your Jeep! I'm 60 and I totally relate to menopause, the depression and anxiety. I enjoy your videos. Thank you for sharing a little piece of your life. Always encouraging and uplifting.
I wanted to personally thank you for your past videos on HRT as through them I started following Dr. Taylor. I also had a personal consultation with her and although I had been taking Estrogen, I didn't realize that the amount I was taking was not sufficient enough to alleviate my symptoms, or enough to help prevent heart attacks, osteoporosis, or alzheimer's. I have upped my estrogen dosage and feel so much better. I also watched your video on intermittent fasting which is another tool that has helped me to feel my best. You are truly amazing and through your sharing you are changing, and even saving, the lives of so many women. Thank you for all that you do. It is so appreciated!
I also just had my 2nd consultation with Dr. Taylor. She uncovered a couple of issues that no other Dr pointed out to me. I’m so grateful for learning about her. Currently increasing my estrogen as well. We got this!
Thank you! I , too, struggled with carbs & sugar. It was an addiction I had due to childhood trauma. It takes so much discipline and work! Lifelong battle. A dietician finally helped me turn it around. Ladies, we are worth it. Always have been. Always will be! ❤
I'm going through perimenopause right now, so this is very helpful. It's challenging trying to get healthy! You're such a classy, elegant lady, Dominique! Thank you for your time.
Thank you very much Dominique. I started watching your videos a bit during the pandemic but now more than before. This was really helpful! I’m 61 and retiring after this last year of teaching. I used to do a lot of yoga but don’t anymore because it doesn’t resonate with my belief system - no one has told me I can’t or shouldn’t, but as a Christian, the eastern practice and type of meditation that accompanies yoga doesn’t sit well. Just wondering what your thoughts are on that. Anyone else - please know that I’m speaking for my own personal choice - because I used to practice and do the chants, etc. not because anyone said I shouldn’t.
I'm in my late 20's and I really enjoy your videos, especially content like this! Thank you for the reminder to take care of my body and to invest in my health for the long haul. I appreciate you, Dominique!
I’m in any mid 40s but I wish there was a place that gave so much good information about what was coming in 20 years when I was in my 20s. I mean at the time, both my mother and grandmother were still alive but I feel that they didn’t share with me enough info about women’s health related topics for perimenopausal/menopausal women. I find myself with I could ask either one of them “did this happen to you when you were my age” but they have both passed away. I’m glad young women have this channel just as much as I am that I do. We must do a better job of forewarning young women about these things.
Good morning, Dominique! I've been watching your videos on and off for years now - an expat living in Tokyo, it's wonderful to catch up on North American cosmetic and fashion trends with someone so pleasant, uplifting and positive. Life had become busy for me and I hadn't watched your videos for over a year. I jumped back on your channel a few days ago and was surprised to find all that has been happening with you over the recent past. I just wanted to let you know that I (as well as millions of other viewers, I'm certain), are so proud of you!! Keep on, keepin` on - you've got this!!!!!!
Thank you Dominique! I need videos like this periodically because I gradually forget to do some of those important daily things when life gets busy. Also these videos are like a booster for me!! THANK YOU 😊
I appreciate this video tremendously! It's the inspiration....wake up....kick in the britches I am needing lately. At 54 years old, I have gone through some huge life changes over the past couple of years. The stress has taken a serious toll on me..... emotionally, physically....and I think that it has spiritually, as well. I began having "woozy spells" recently and that scared me. When we get in a rut, it can be difficult to pull ourselves out sometimes. Thank you for being such a wonderful inspiration to us! 🙏 Much love 💗
I like that you brought up 2 meals a day. That has helped me maintain a healthy body weight as well as walk/bike daily. This is my first month using patches, so I hope it works for me. Totally love how you are talking about hormones. 54 and enjoying my 2nd half! Keep giving great advice!
Loved the video, very inspiring thank you. I can relate to the sugar addiction thing and am experimenting with the intermittent fasting and regular yoga which seems to be working 🤞. I’m from the U.K. and notice that American diets tend to contain a lot of processed food, even when having a healthy focus (pancakes, syrup, bread , artificial sweeteners, etc) whereas in Europe the healthy advice seems to be eating food which you prepare yourself and has had as little processing as possible. Really love your look without false eyelashes - looks so pretty and natural.
Thank you Dominique! If the women who watch your videos really Understand your words of “Take Charge” ! That’s exactly what your asking the women to do! I’m 75 and I have learned over the years you have to search and research for whatever area in your life you feel needs tweaking. I’m still learning every day. For me Yoga has been my best choice for my physical and mental health! Been doing it for years. That and working on a diet for my best health is the most important thing I could have done for my life. This video is so inspiring, every area you discussed leads to knowing your body your mind and taking charge! No quick fixes, maybe trial and error sometimes but persistence. You make the world a better place! 🤗❤️
Thank you for this video! It's always so refreshing to learn from you and know that I am not alone in this 55 year journey. I went to my first zumba class this morning after 6 years, ate a healthy breakfast and feel energized. You're an inspiration to many of us 50 plus women. Thank you for what you do! :)
Hi Dominique, this is the first video I have seen from you. I am 55 years old and recently had a prolapse. I am now seriously looking after my health. I have put on so much weight and generally not feeling well. I would love to feel energetic, sleep through the night and have a greater outlook on life. I will keep watching your videos as you have been very helpful already. God bless you.
This video is so important especially for women. I’m in my 50’s and I have osteoporosis. I went thru early menopause. It’s so important to take of your body. I also have started to eat and work out daily. It really makes a difference. I can feel my posture and my bones feel stronger. Like Dominique, said you are the captain of your body!
Lina, I’m 58 and recently dx with osteoporosis too. I’m really adverse to taking the pills or shots because of all the side effects. I’ve been reading estrogen helps with bone loss. Did you get on hrt, does it help?
@Ava B same here. I just bought a rebounder although I’ve been a walker for years. I’m also incorporating light weights and balancing exercises. And, trying to figure out the best supplements to take. Thank you so much for replying.
Agree wholeheartedly about HRT. Absolute game changer. I, like you, suffered terribly with perimenopause. Thankfully I found two very supportive healthcare providers who supported me so much.
I too had a similar journey with nutrition! Taking the time to learn about what is going to support my body properly was a game-changer! It was empowering and I really became way more intentional with my food choices and once I began to notice the difference in my physique, skin, hair, nails etc... motivated me even more to continue to learn and share what I've learned with others. Thanks for sharing your journey and being so honest. There really isn't a quick fix for nutrition. It definitely takes time to implement and I love how you gave yourself grace along the way! Woohoooo!!
Loved the video. I would just like to add getting some early morning sunshine is very important for melatonin production and overall health. The early morning infrared light does not burn the skin, it promotes healthy skin, lifts your mood, and good for your eyes. Getting some sun everyday is vitally important.
I don't know if you remember me My husband passed away a year and a half ago. I promised him I would take care of myself and my daughters. There have been days where the taking care of me part just did not happen. But just this year I have gone back to the gym .and my girls go with me. So now I am trying to do a better job. I just love your talks it really has motivation that I needed. So thank you. Big hugs.
I do remember you and your story, Nancy. Thank you so much for being here once again. I'm overjoyed that you and your daughters are prioritizing you health. How wonderful that you share this together. My continued prayers for healing and wellness on your journey 🙏
When I turned 50, my General Practitioner told me that from age 50 forward, I could only eat 1/2 of the food portions that I was used to eating and still maintain my weight. At the time I thought he was exaggerating. He was not.
I am so thankful you made this video. Hearing what you do to stay healthy is very encouraging. I am starting to understand how being consistent and intentional with everything in your life makes for a positive outlook with benefits.
Thank you Dominique for sharing your health routine. Its so helpful giving others ideas of what they may try. Before menopause a low carb diet was working well for me. After menopause not so much.... i gained weight and couldnt get it off . I started fasting 17 hours 5 days a week and 12 hours 2 days a week and try to mix in 24 hour fast when i can. I also cut back my carbs further. Eating healthy fats, low carb veges and protein. I lost the weight i had gained and i am keeping it off. The last several years i have been working on my mental mind. This has been truly life changing! I just turned 59 and am so excited to see everday what life will unfold. Have a blessed day.💕

I appreciate the way you are so honest with your approach to health and it does lend for a wider viewer audience for sure. A lot of women are overly critical and they compare themselves to standards that most times are unattainable. You allow your transparency to bridge the gap for women who fall on all sides of the spectrum.
Great video! Emphasis on the importance of hormones is so important. I hope all the ladies here will take the information you shared very seriously and further educate yourselves on this most important topic for us woman. I’m 65. Unfortunately due to a flawed study by the woman’s health initiative in 2002, HRT had become a topic not much talked about in the past decade or so. Many woman my age missed an opportunity to feel better sooner! I am so glad you and others are bringing it to the forefront again! Thank you for all you do.
Dominique,. So eloquently presented to us making us feel like we are not alone in what we are going through. You are so very wise and we are so grateful for you sharing with us. I am 68 and feel better than ever using your tips. I have peace of mind by not putting pressure on myself to do things I really don't want to do. Find your joys and enjoy them.💕
Amazing video Dominique, I started a diet change (and no Alkohol) couple of months ago and feel really good, lost 10 points already and my skin is something different 😊 Next week is my 40th birthday and my 40s will be about health and wellness 💆♀️ sending much love from Germany 🇩🇪 love your videos and content 💚

Yes, another comment 😊 I broke my leg bad in 2020, lovely year. I gained weight because I was bed bound for quite some time and 4 surgeries later... I got into fasting. I started at 185 and did a 10 day water fast in the beginning of October and have been intermittent fasting ever since and I am down to 136! It works!!!
I also have never believed in diets nor did I ever "do a diet". I love chocolate way too much and rarely do I turn it down. I too am taking HRT and have been since having had a hysterectomy and it has worked well for me. Great information and thank you for taking your time to help!
Thank you for all of your time and effort in encouraging, educating, and sharing your life with us! You are like the Martha Stewart of self-care. You cover a broad spectrum of topics by listening to the needs and requests of your followers. Keep up the great work and know someone in Florida is praying for you.
I love your content!! I’m always learning at least 1 gold nugget every time. I’m almost 54 take a ton of vitamins and supplements- the ones you mentioned plus others like magnesium, probiotic, vitamin E, etc. My friends, family, and kids will tell you I’m always saying “take your vitamins”. The easiest way to do it is to set aside time once a week to fill a pill container for the week so you’re not going to multiple bottles daily. I have 2 for morning supplements and 1 for evening. Makes it soooo much easier to incorporate into my morning and nightly routine! Keep blessing us, Dominique! You are so appreciated ❤
I was wondering when to take the different vitamins and with meals or alone? I also read that some vitamins should be taken with others! It's😊 so confusing! LoL
I'm SOOOO grateful to have your vlogs for inspiration as there is nobody left in my family to care about my well-being. Thank you so much for leading the way, Dominique ❤️🌹❤️
Love this. Thank you for sharing. It is helpful and encouraging to see other women our age and the challenges we face at this time in our life--to see what works and what doesn't work. I have recently lost around 20 lbs. Eating less and cutting out things that do not work for me. Stretching is also a big factor in just everyday movement--makes a crazy big difference. Your video challenges me to consider other modifications in lifestyle. This is the best I have felt in a long time 🙏 ❤
You are such an inspiration! You have changed my life in a positive way ….❤ thank you for being there ! 🥰 I wish you the best and great success. What you doing I know had impacted a lot of women out there and I really respect and appreciate what you do! Cheers 👌
Another video that’s a banger! You hit this one out of the park! Thank you for sharing, researching and explaining the information for our overall health, but especially menopause! We women are so underserved in this area. Once women reach middle age it’s strange how the medical world will emphasizes attention towards our youth and elder care, but totally minimizes the importance of learning how to care and keep us healthy. As a mother of 2 daughters I am sharing this video to teach them another way to take care of themselves as a whole health regimen. 💪🏾❤🏃🏽♀️🥗
Dear Dominique. I love watching and learning from you. I do listen to my body and pay attention in how I feel. I think sugar stopped for my about 10 years I would say. I have one coffee a day to wake up. I drink tons of water, I don’t drink alcohol or anything else. I do eat a piece of chocolate when my body asks for it. But I learned a lot from, I try to sleep 8 hours and I think it helps a lot especially with my mental health. Thank you so much for all the important information you provide.
My dietician introduced me to intuitive eating in 2022. It's when we are in tune with ourselves and eat when we are hungry or starting to feel hungry. Not allowing ourselves to get to a famished state before we eat either. There is also emphasis on being kind to ourselves and allowing ourselves treats if we feel we want one. Moderation but most importantly listening to our bodies. Thank you Dominique ❤️ 😊 for sharing your journey!
I really enjoyed listening to your advice. I just started intermittent fasting about 3 weeks ago n your advice goes along n confirms how good it is for me. Plus, we don't really need as much food as we get older was another great point.😊
It DOES take time! It took me 40 years to figure out i had a intolerance toward sulfur enrich food items. These items include EGGS (yeah, I know!), onions, brussel sprouts, garlic, cabbage, asparagus and more). I was devastated to say the least. I mean, come on!!! Sulfur enriched foods ARE healthy food items, right??? Once i eliminated thesw food items, i noticed a huge difference!!! Yes! YOU have to listen to YOUR body. Thanks for sharing so much of yourself with us. You are such a gift. 💙🙏🦋
Thanks for sharing this. Feels im not alone. Im the same. In mid 40's. I miss all these good veges for so long, but if i try my system messed up and go crazy lol. 😢 recently i noticed of sugar cravings because of very little things that i can eat. But mostly dark chocolates. What diet you are having now?
This Vlog, WOW, so spot on! Agreed, HRT, get your hormones tested, and YES women NEED Testosterone too, it's not just for men...it's a game changer! I meal prep for the week, every weekend, love the Mason Jar Salad idea...Genius! 90/10 rule, learn your body and what makes it run efficiently, if it's not working, be willing to change it up, if you want to feel your optimal, you have to be willing to learn what works for you. Menopause ain't for Wimps, but we're still running this show Ladies!🥰❤
I've asked a couple gynecologists about testing testosterone levels and prescribing.. they declined no answer just said they don't prescribe, Is there a certain kind of doc that would be more likely to help with this?
Dominique...I can tell you that watching and listening to you made me smile, feeling so content and less lonely. (Now I can finally dismiss those old/new unwanted flames .. err gradually) lol. You know you are amazing, beautiful, healthy, funny, engaging and best of all Real. This last trait that you possessed was what helped us (ladies) and hopefully gentlemen too to relate. I love Dominique’s channel. Here from almost the beginning when the channel started out. I’ve learned a lot over the years and enjoy listening to all your advice on life. Im now going through peri-menopause and I’m checking off all this great advice about menopause and other health advice from your guests too and friends. It’s so so helpful and who doesn’t want to look like you at your age! So fab-u-lous! Thank you for everything you do ❤
Your vulnerability and humanity is just so inspiring. I love that you are as comfortable in your pajamas and no makeup as you are when you are red-carpet and runway ready. Your spirit is so beautiful and uplifting. Thank you for being so genuine and relatable-especially with regard to the aging journey. ❤
Thanks Dominique for your wellness tips. I'm about to turn 60 and am post menopausal and during my 50s i started to take better care of myself and I feel great. Fortified nutritional yeast is a good source of Vitamin B12. I sprinkle it on my veges and also on my eggs. I live in Australia and make a point of getting out in the sun and fresh air each day (when it's not cloudy of course) which has helped my Vitamin D levels. Thanks for encouraging us mature ladies with your videos.
Thank you, Dominique!! I have been following you for years and really loved the HRT talk in the AM as well as the support throughout the day on treating your body as the ship to carry you forward! I've gotten so wrapped up in my midlife advancing my career so I can hold on to my inherited heart home and lost sight of vitamins, eating healthy, etc. I was prescribed sleeping pills and gaining weight. I will now have a conversation with my doctor about HRT and make my lunch salad in a jar the night before! Great tips and wonderful chat with you! You are like the big sister I never had.
I have bipolar disorder...no one even talked to me about HRT. Everyone blames everything - fatigue, apathy, anxiety, distraction, etc. on my BD. ::sigh:: So glad you are talking about this!!
not surprised .... the medical establishment want you to be the mouse on the treadmill and use only their protocols which 'conveniently for them' are tightly woven around the pharmaceutical juggernaut in which we live. If you want different results, you have to explore options outside the mainstream institutions and structures. Your "BD" could require hormone therapy to resolve itself - you never know until you try. All the best of luck to you, Lisa.
Dominique, I loved this video. I do have to chuckle though, because as I was watching this, my Italian husband was downstairs making homemade pizza! 🙂I have learned that I don't have to give up pizza, just can't have 4 slices! Portion control is so important. So I will enjoy a slice with a salad and a glass of sparkling water. I am finally putting into practice the good things that I know to do, but wasn't doing. I really loved your salad in a jar idea. I will definitely give it a try. I prep a little now by cutting up all my veggies when I first get them from the store, and puting them in containers so that they are ready to go when I want to make a salad or just munch on some veggies. Those little tips are so helpful. Thank you for all your great ideas. Love them!
I too have had an unhealthy relationship with sugar. It's a tough one to crack for certain. Sugar is in so any things, even items considered healthy! One thing I would like to add that has helped my overall wellness is the proper amount of sleep and a good night routine! Thank you for such a thoughtful video!
You are so right about the sugar addiction! I found myself "searching" my pantry for the sugar wafers I knew I had stashed away! It took a good 10 days - 2 weeks for me to "get a grip!" Lol. Lovely video! Thank you!
This video is full of wisdom! It's so needed. I have had a similar struggle "breaking up" with sugar but I have been able to (of course all things in moderation). What I noticed was how incredibly damaging sugar was for my skin. Now my skin is much happier in every way. I also firmly agree with your stance on HRT! Game change! The other thing I have experienced is how critical meditation is for me. I am a hugh energy gal and meditation has absolutely helped ground me. I did yoga for a significant stretch of time and really loved it. Time to get back into most likely. Also, I am not a big fan of water but know it's important so I do drink it. What has been a big game changer is using the product "true lemon" in my water along with a bit of stevia. It's so delicious! I highly recommend. One thing I've learned is that both my husband and I need massages on some level of frequency. So now we splurge for couples massages roughly every other month. We offset that cost with NOT getting coffee at Starbucks anymore. Instead we purchased a Phillips machine and make our own bougie coffee drinks at home. It's a wonderful little luxury! I adore you!
Hi Dominique.. Thank you for sharing some very valuable info and insights. I think it is important to figure what works for our bodies. I have chronic migraines. I have had to live with them and manage the pain for the past 10 years. I have been a plant based for 14 years, up until last year. My migraines despite eating clean (I rarely ate processed food, once in a blue moon), drank no alcohol, exercised, meditated, practiced yoga, journaled, got good sleep hygiene, took supplements (Magnesium Glycinate, Riboflavin, Fish oil, COQ10,VitaminD)and also took prescribed migraine medication-i would continue to get migraine attacks on a monthly basis. I made the decision, after a lot of research, reading, and education on the subject, I switched to following a Carnivore way of eating; I cut out all carbs, all sugars. My migraines stopped. I intermittent fast as well. I have so much energy; I sleep better, no bloating, I hardly get any breakouts (which I would here and there). I am just so glad to have found my way to enjoy life again because my migraines were utterly debilitating.
I ADORE an Arugula salad. I use Feta, Blueberries, Raspberries, Walnuts, & a homemade Raspberry Balsamic dressing. Almost a "dessert" salad. 😉 You can add the chicken or shrimp to it for the protein. I've also added Organic Garbanzo beans 😋
@@pagerus This recipe is basically for as big or small a batch as you want, adjust accordingly 😉 1 part Olive or Avocado oil, 1 part good Balsamic or Red Wine vinegar, 2-3 Tbsp. filtered water 1/4 C (or so) Raspberries 1-2 Tbsp. Raw Honey In a glass lidded container of choice (I save old dressing bottles for reuse) add all the liquids & Honey. Crush Raspberries to a nice thick pulp mixture. Add to liquid mixture & shake the heck out of it till thoroughly blended. You can thin with a bit more water or oil as needed.
Gratitude! I had a tire shred yesterday on the freeway. Very difficult to control the car in heavy traffic. Once I got out on the side of the road all I felt was gratitude. As a Buddhist, I practice gratitude mindfully. But the shock was profound. It was a beautiful day.
I love your vlogs with all products that help you in your updated beauty and wellness routine. I appreciate a lot that you explain a lot of aspects while you show us what works for you Big hug from Italy 🤗🤗
Hello from Romania, Dominique! I discovered you about two years ago here on TH-cam and from than, I'm watching you constantly. You are such a nice person, I have many things to learn from you. I am 53 and I am gemini (maybe that's why I like you so much 😄). Thank you for all are you doing for us! 🤗❤️
I really love this weeks video. My son is a wellness coach and he has been telling me I need to add harmon replacement therapy. He preaches everything you said. I am a nurse, so I do know the importance and benefits. I guess we women put ourselves last to often. Your video was perfect timing for me. Looking for a wellness doc. Thank you for caring and sharing!
Thanks
@@pagerus thanks so much!
Thank you! 🌺
Amen!
Love this information
I love it when I see genuine kindness like this on the web. ♡ Women cheering on women! She sure is ALL that.
What she said!!☝🏻☝🏻
I was wondering, since I am a dog lover, do you take him with you when you can? How does he spend HIS day? 😊
I adore you ! Thx for your guidance!
Beautiful, well done ❤
I have found strength training has really helped me with my depression and anxiety
God bless you. ❤
me to love to walk hate to exercise.
Dominique, I've followed you from the beginning, and THIS is your best video so far. I turned 70 in February and I follow so much of your advice. One more thing that I will add, don't retire unless you have to. Find something that you love and continue to do it. God bless you as you bless others!
Wonderful advice!
I turn 65 this Sunday. My dad and aunt both says... keep working. Those words ring in my head. So I'm not in a hurry to retire
So true. Retirement is not what you might think.
I completely agree I'm 72 and still work at a job I love. My husband asked me the other day how long will I continue to work I told him till I can't.
I’m a yorkiepoo mom and I fully support this message.🥰🥰🥰
So true, nothing like it
I also have a sweet little maltese/poodle mix. They are a blessing!!
Dr Andrew Huberman has amazing content on HRT on his channel. Brilliant man. I wish he could give me in-person counsel on it!
I’m 64 and have been taking HRT for over 10 years. Lots of new, long term studies to show it’s benefits and not nearly as many side effects or contraindications as previously thought. I’m going to stay on it!
Love HRT…it’s been the best thing for me. I’m doing the pellets now.
"If we listen to and honor what our body is saying." This really rang true to me. Thank you!
Thanks for the reminder!!! I love dance, I can do this for movement
Keep dancing through life! I'm 66 and taking lessons again. It brings me such joy. I'm mad at myself that I didn't go back sooner. You go girl!
Hi Martha Spikes
Do you mind if I ask about what kind and dose of HRT that you take. I know nothing about it and suffering with menopause
I have had a health awakening in the past 6 months. On a mission to wellness, the most important thing in life is our health and wellbeing. Love your chats Dominique.
I love the wellness videos. They are so encouraging for those of us on the same journey and trying to do our best.
I love this woman. she is so good in showing people how to do the things that help the whole body and face. Thank you so much. 💓
Wow! I’ve recently noticed that I have an unhealthy relationship with sugar. This has spoke volumes to me! You do an amazing job at always providing relatable, informative and helpful info on real life! Thank you, Dominique. Loved this and love you!
You are so welcome! Love you right back..
Thank you!

"Treating our bodies with the utmost respect and care." Wonderful information and advice in this week's vlog! Thank you, Dominique! 🙂
I loved being on HRT but developed estrogen driven breast cancer in my 4th year. Chemotherapy gave me permanent bald patches like male pattern baldness. 😢 I have to take an estrogen blocker for 5 years, but I’m so grateful to be in remission!
Love your videos, beautiful Dominique!💗

Dominique, I've been praying for guidance for menopause issues. I sat down to watch your video, with my cup of coffee like I'm sitting with a friend, and here it is! Thank you so much for being so open and honest always, you are wonderful!
Hi Dominique, You are such a gift to everyone, God bless you. I have your book and have gifted it to several friends.
I’m 85 and pretty healthy and right now my mission is to get my sodium to a healthy level. What an eye opener it was when I started checking nutritional labels, it’s in everything! I just love your mom, she is a kick.💕😊
You are so delightful. It’s just so enjoyable to listen to someone who inspires effortlessly.

EV's are a massive hoax...
I remember, as a young girl, hearing Cindy Crawford say:'The secret is, there is no secret'. Yup! So, thank you for your honesty!
I can relate to this so much. I haven't won the battle yet, though. It's so wonderful that you were able to.
Thank you Sierra! Glad you're here :)
I love how Dominique is talking and putting on her make up! 😄 she's amazingly so natural and down to earth 🌎 😍 💕
@Ava B yes, I think you’re correct. My mom has osteoporosis as well. Are you taking anything for it?
@Ava B same here. I just bought a rebounder although I’ve been a walker for years. I’m also incorporating light weights and balancing exercises. And, trying to figure out the best supplements to take. Thank you so much for replying.
@Ava B Best of luck to you as well 😊
Agree wholeheartedly about HRT.
Woohoooo!!
Amen to that and congrats to you on your journey!

My husband passed away a year and a half ago.
Have a blessed day.💕
Greetings from Ukraine! I'm enjoying your videos. I am 62 years old and you inspire me. The topic you suggested is very interesting to me. Thanks!
Wonderful! Hope you're doing well there
@@dominiquesachsetv I live in the central part of Ukraine. There is no fighting here, but the arrival of Russian missiles unfortunately happens. During an air raid, we hide in the basement.
DOMINIQUE, YOU ARE SUCH A JOY AND A GREAT ENCOURAGMENT TO WE WOMEN. I AM 72 AND HAVE ENTERED THAT TIME IN MY LIFE THAT HAS SLOWED DOWN. THAT IS GOOD SOMETIMES BUT I GET DEPRESSED WITH BEING IN THE HOUSE SO MUCH. YOU HAVE MADE ME WANT TO GET ON WITH LIFE. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU!
Some of the best videos on this Channel are the information you share about health & wellness! Inspirational words of how to navigate, what to pay attention to & your personal experiences help the rest of us & remind us that we are worth the time & effort so we can live our best lives! Grateful for you!❤😊🎉
I appreciate the way you are so honest with your approach to health and it does lend for a wider viewer audience for sure.
What an amazing woman you are Dominique! Thank you we all needing videos like this you are such an inspiration and we need this these days with what the world has become these health and lifestyle videos are mu absolute favourites ❤ here in Australia every Saturday morning is my time with Dominique with my cup of coffee after a stressful week working in security in our major hospital. Again thank you beautiful lady keep the videos coming.❤
Dominique, thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with us. We all need the uplift that you bring to the table!
That’s how I remember to take my supplements as well!
This was wonderful and motivating. Especially the carb, sugar addiction and seven days of cravings. So true. Thank you Domique.
Thank you, so much, for who you are, whose you are and everything you do. What a blessing!
@@Katie-vy5rd YES YES
Dominique...I can tell you that watching and listening to you made me smile, feeling so content and less lonely. (Now I can finally dismiss those old/new unwanted flames .. err gradually) lol. You know you are amazing, beautiful, healthy, funny, engaging and best of all Real. This last trait that you possessed was what helped us (ladies) and hopefully gentlemen too to relate. I'm in my mid 50s and had been a single mom for quite a while. My only son just got married and moved out. I cried for 3 days and then I started picking up on my old hobbies like painting and open mic karaoke Lol! I felt like life has just finally begun for me and Your videos/channel here only made my days all the much sweeter. Thank you Dominique! Stay happy always! :D
Watching your vid is like a gentle, kind meditation.
I loved this! :)
Yet another uplifting ,informative hour with you . Thank you .
If youre a doctor, who cares what people say about you... You have access to CHANGE your situation..🤷♀️🙏🙌
not surprised .... the medical establishment want you to be the mouse on the treadmill and use only their protocols which 'conveniently for them' are tightly woven around the pharmaceutical juggernaut in which we live. If you want different results, you have to explore options outside the mainstream institutions and structures. Your "BD" could require hormone therapy to resolve itself - you never know until you try. All the best of luck to you, Lisa.
Thank you for this, it feels like a light bolt moment. I'm crying as I write this because I finally GET IT after struggling all my life. God Bless xx
HRT changed my life. The energy I have, sleep at night and have lost 30 pounds once I started it.
Love them!
Thanks for sharing your routine with us and keeping it real!
I LOVED this, thank you! 💕 Side note: I am amazed at how quickly you did your makeup - and while talking! That's a true makeup pro right there!
Care to share your recipe for the homemade raspberry balsamic?
@@pagerus This recipe is basically for as big or small a batch as you want, adjust accordingly 😉
1 part Olive or Avocado oil,
1 part good Balsamic or Red Wine vinegar,
2-3 Tbsp. filtered water
1/4 C (or so) Raspberries
1-2 Tbsp. Raw Honey
In a glass lidded container of choice (I save old dressing bottles for reuse) add all the liquids & Honey.

I'm thinking about getting on HRT but I wonder if it can it causes weight gain?
