Killer Instinct will always be my favourite fighting game. Played it to death on the SNES and later on Xbox and I still haven't found all the secret moves and combo's. Plus the roster is awesome.
Need a lot more Nintendo games period. NES, SNES, N64, GB, GBC, GBA, DS, 3DS, GC, Wii & Wii U. Even after 7 years the NSO showing is pitiful @ the rate they're adding games we will never see even 1/16th the full library. Super tight and responsive controls, I wanna say it was the first rpg racing game where you can upgrade your vehicle and you’re also actively trying to wreck the other racers. i grew up during the super nintendo era, i played a big chunk of the titles released, especially the rpgs, dkc2, chrono, secret of mana, mario rpg, megaman 7 x1 x2 x3, the final fantasies, i could go on and on and on
Super Ghouls 'n' Ghost, F-ZERO, Super Mario Kart, TMNT IV: Turtles in Time, SMW2: Yoshi's Island, Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, Kirby Super Star, DKC2: Diddy's Kong Quest, and Super Mario World.
"It's just sad that Nintendo doesn't show F-Zero more love these days." F-Zero 99: "Am I a joke to you?" Sure, it's not a new mainline F-Zero game, but it's still a quality experience that's super-addictive and is introducing a new generation to the franchise.
Of these, I’ve owned F-Zero, Secret of Mana, Legend of Zelda, Super Mario World, and Star Fox. I’ve rented and, repeatedly, played Super Street Fighter II, Super Mario Kart, and Final Fantasy III/VI. I went with the DS version of Chrono Trigger, but my classmates swore by the original. Ah, I miss the nineties.
Their is too many games to list but here are my favorite snes games. These days super Mario world rom hacks are keeping it alive and the Super Nintendo was a system I did get to own as a kid but when I got my first job it was one of the first things I bought
Ken Griffey jr. Presents Major League Baseball absolutely belongs on this list. To be fair, most sports games for early consoles suck, most are generic as hell and don’t differ from one another rear to year other than the lineups. But Ken Griffey baseball was the first to make a game a little different, with an emphasis on pace of play, the games moved quickly, there’s was an ear worm of a soundtrack that played thru the whole game and the. Controls weren’t needlessly complicated. Had an arcade feel to where you could pick up and play and be done with a game in about 10-15 minutes. Only bummer thing was the Griffey was the only actual big league name that was in the game. But oddly the rest of the team were essentially the real players based on the their strengths and weakness’s. I’m assuming for whatever reason they couldn’t get name rights last minute which is kind of hilarious when the game is literally called Ken grifffey jr. Presents Major League Baseball to not be able to use the actual names but I digress, if you wanted. You could manually go in and change the names of all the players. Which I spent countless hrs doing when I was younger. Anyway, great game, I wanna say it introduced this arcade style sports game but nba jam might’ve done it first… which brings me to why isn’t nba jam on this list???
I was sure hoping for find EarthBound here. The clips here dont do it justice, its just magic and it gave me a life long love for RPGs. Its a shame the game itself is hard to find unless you have the Mini Super or an emulator. It comes out the gate looking similar to standard RPGs of the SNES era, but its charm, humor, and vibe draw you in. The music itself was rather groundbreaking itself, utilizing a larger scope of depth and stereo panning that complements the offbeat style and story to great effect. I cant recommend it enough if you value story, vibe, quirkiness, and feel, over graphics and fast action (though due to rolling HP meters, you gotta be quick to react to save your characters if they took a deadly blow). Give it a shot and enjoy!
Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts is incredibly frustrating as hell, which doesn't even help that it has to be done twice in just ONE sitting on the SNES version, which is simply very ridiculous. Fortunately, the GBA version corrects that issue since it features the option to save the game so you can continue where you left off instead of the hassle of having to beat it twice in just ONE sitting. Anyways, I have fond memories of playing Super Mario World, Yoshi's Island, and the Donkey Kong Country trilogy on the GBA, and I'm glad I have those SNES games on the GBA

When i was a kid i liked more action and sports games and so did most of my friends back in the 90s. Some of these games are awesome, but these RPG stories and soundtracks of games never occured to us back then. I mean no mention of the start of Madden or NHL 94???? Just my opinion i suppose tho...

i grew up during the super nintendo era, i played a big chunk of the titles released, especially the rpgs, dkc2, chrono, secret of mana, mario rpg, megaman 7 x1 x2 x3, the final fantasies, i could go on and on and on
gotta say, i still love the level complete theme from mario world, to this day, its still my favorite of all the mainline mario games
Super Ghouls 'n' Ghost, F-ZERO, Super Mario Kart, TMNT IV: Turtles in Time, SMW2: Yoshi's Island, Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, Kirby Super Star, DKC2: Diddy's Kong Quest, and Super Mario World.
Mega man X is still my go to game when I'm bored out of my mind. Great gameplay, great soundtrack, just a gem.
"It's just sad that Nintendo doesn't show F-Zero more love these days."
F-Zero 99: "Am I a joke to you?"
Sure, it's not a new mainline F-Zero game, but it's still a quality experience that's super-addictive and is introducing a new generation to the franchise.
Super Mario world, super double dragon, super double dragon battle toads, Batman returns , final fight, all 3 donkey kongs, contra 3 alien wars, nba jam & nba jam T.E., killer instinct , street fight 2 and street fight 2 turbo, Kirby’s dream course , the simpsons barts nightmare, mortal kombat, super Mario kart, mega man x, ninja turtles in time , Aladdin , 3 ninjas kick back .
That's the arcade version of Killer instinct you showed. It would have caught fire trying play that version
I never played the SNES in my childhood. Luckily, I bought a used one in 2019 & have gotten quite a collection of games since.
what's great is most of these are on the Switch now.
DKC and Turtles for the win....so damn GOOD
Turtles In Time for me 👍🤟
The controls in OG Mario Kart are great.
Kirby's Dream Course is weeping silently in the corner.
If you are including Killer Instinct then why show the arcade version? If you talk about the SNES version, then you should’ve at least shown footage from that version.
Same with Street Fighter 2 the new challengers. You guys showed even Super Street Fighter 2 turbo which doesn’t even exist on the SNES.
Utterly lazy on your part guys
Yup, some great choices there.
Super Maro World, Both Donkey Kong games, Metroid, and Super Mario RPG: Legend of the 7 Stars.
The fact illusion of time/Gaia is not on this list is a crime
The Beavis and buthead video game was amazing.

These are all the Best Nostalgic SNES Games That'll ALWAYS have a Special Place in my Heart forever
No love for Super Punchout? Along with bringing back series staples like Mr Sandman and Super Macho Man, it introduced such memorable characters as Aran Ryan, Hoy Quarlow, and the Bruiser brothers.
These days super Mario world rom hacks are keeping it alive and the Super Nintendo was a system I did get to own as a kid but when I got my first job it was one of the first things I bought
Goof Troop and Top Gear are my favorites 😊
Great top, Mojo. I agree with the election
Oh the nostalgia. I know what i'll be doing this month
Mystical Ninja was awesome
I got the Super Famicom mini over the Super Nintendo one. It had Mystical Ninja on it so it was a no brainer.
3:16 ssf2 didnt have super meters
Can you imagine an online multiplayer f-zero? That would be awesome

This a solid list, BUT, where is Bomberman 3 or 4?
@@Clodd1
Sorry, one of the greatest franchises ever struggles for love now.
And if Fall Guy can succeed, doesn't make sense.
@@pathogeneration5138 What do you mean?
@@Clodd1
That BOMBERMAN is one of the greatest game franchises ever.
And it's hard to find anyone to play with.
People today, will play any one of dozens of lazy, also-ran FPS.
But not a master in its own class.
Bomberman.
Super Bomberman is legend.
If there's one LOST game above ALL others most tragic, it's HI-TEN BOMBERMAN
Try the Bomberman games on the Turbo Grafx 16/PC-Engine. They are also really good.
@@AngryCalvin Im gonna check it out, thanks.
Those of us who were so lucky to have grown up though the golden era of not just gaming but entertainment as a whole are so lucky. I honestly feel bad for those growing up in the current dark age. Hopefully we can bring about another renascence soon.
Chrono Trigger music in the intro...😭
The SNES was the pinnacle of Square RPGs. Final Fantasy 4,5 and still the best FF of all time 6 along with one of the greatest RPGs ever Chrono Trigger, the beginnings of the Mana series along with the amazing RPGs that never came out in North America Treasure Hunter G, Bahamut Lagoon and Live A Live.
Hot take: my favorite SNES game is donkey Kong country 3
It's great. One of my favorites.
@Clodd1 I've been asked alot of times why that's my goto DKC game
@@Valihir I think the third one is better than the original. But the second one is unbeatable, my second favorite game of all time.
@Clodd1 that's fair 2 is really good the whole trilogy is but I think 3 has the best bosses
@@Valihir now that I think about it, you got a point.
I don’t understand why more people don’t love bomberman? I love the game play so much!
Imagine if turtles in time came to the Sega CD, with all the rotations and scaling included, could have knocked the socks off Final Fight CD
1. Mario RPG
2. Super Mario All Stars
3. Super Mario World
4. A Link to the Past
5. MM Power Rangers
6. The Adventures of Batman and Robin
7. Donkey Kong Country 2
8. Donkey Kong Country
9. Donkey Kong Country 3
10. Yoshi’s Island
11. Mega Man X
12. Super Mario Kart
13. Aladdin

Street Fighter Alpha 2 replacing Super Street Fighter II on the list. Both great but SFA2 was released later and brought more to the table.
The order of this list is cracked...
This should've been the SNES mini classic selection of games.
A fun fact: Super Mario Kart was originally supposed to be the F Zero multiplayer prototype
This list should be called the best SNES games to an adult playing them 30 years later in my opinion. When i was a kid i liked more action and sports games and so did most of my friends back in the 90s. Some of these games are awesome, but these RPG stories and soundtracks of games never occured to us back then. I mean no mention of the start of Madden or NHL 94???? Just my opinion i suppose tho...
