      It's good and ideal actually coz cars are meant to be kept for 10+ years generally. We don't keep that's different things but most cars are mean to last more than 10 years if kept nicely and unless major fault occurs. And after 10+ years one cant expect good resale in any car I suppose. Never care about others opinion only look for your drive experience

      @@nirushs8382 Now a days Skoda and VW offer service packs which makes them service vise economical. I own VW polo from last 11 years and such scheme was not available that time . This was first generation and fully German made. Still I kept service cost under control by customization based on actual need and not by service center quote . VW and Skoda are in different league and one should buy it only if wanted to part of it. These cars gives immense pleasure of driving. Others from my family too now choosen for VW and Skoda.

    The resale may be lower for sedan compared to SUV, but you have to cough up about 3-4% upfront. Not only this the mileage will be higher in sedan compared to the SUV.

    An informative video. But it all depends on the purpose of purchase of vehicle. Still there are many buyers who keep the vehicle for long term. It is my belief that one shouldn't reject the car only considering its resale value. The comfort, ride & build quality, safety can compensate lower resale value.

    Although currently Sedans don't have market share, but Sedans will have market in India.. it will definitely bounce back. In my opinion people in India (mostly first time buyers) currently just wants to buy a car by appearance and SUVs seems to appeal them a lot. However, after several years, they will understand what car really means. They will start thinking about Driving dynamics, handling, performance, space etc. A few portion of people are slowly realising that these SUVs are nothing but jacked up Hatch backs. When people start thinking about a car beyond just road presence and appearance, I'm sure they will start considering sedans as they are more suited in these aspects. I've always been a Sedan lover and proud owner (Honda City 5th Gen. Earlier we had Maruti Suzuki Esteem). I never liked these pseudo SUVs. And ofcourse Sedans are more attractive in terms of looks, driving dynamics and performance. ❤

    Presently VW-Skoda Cars are offered with Free Maintenance for 4 Years.
    Inspite of 95% localisation they are expensive when compared to the price they offered T-Roc TBU with High Import Duty.
    After 5 years owners might experience their Realistic Pricing of Spares & Labour Charges which would be expensive than competition for sure.

      Maruti & Hyundai are quite good in City Traffic where average speed is less than 15-20 kmsph maximum & in chaotic driving conditions the NA 4-Cylinder Engines are better than TSI. Because engine Turbo Kicks in only after 18 - 2000 rpm hence it hardly makes a difference in City traffic. In fact TSI or TC engines might not offer good efficiency when compared to 4 Cylinder NA Petrol Engine.

    In my opinion 50% of Indian car buyers give more weightage to low cost of ownership and resale value more than the driving dynamics of any car. This is the reason why Maruti continues to lead the market even after 35 years of it's operation though it's market share has come down. Used car markets in India will always have buyers as people will continue to upgrade to cars from 2 wheelers and not all of them will have the means to buy a brand new car. Unless the government comes down very heavily and restricts the life span of vehicles with compulsory scrapping after some years of registration this market will always be there and even vehicles of companies that have folded up in the recent past will continue to sell albeit at a lower cost compared to others. Take a look at the display of any used car dealer and you will definitely find some models which were discontinued or from companies that folded up and left India. People can expect to resell their car of any make but not at 50% of the price they paid when they bought it new.

    Biggest mistake of Renault and NIssan was to go with 1000 cc engine. 1200 engine would have got them more buyers. Even with a turbo engine on some models, crawling performance (bumper to bumper traffic) is poor. It only pick up after 1600 rpm

    • @richarddragon9108
      @richarddragon9108 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I agree, Renault and Nissan's decision to go with a 1000 cc engine instead of a 1200 cc engine seems to have been a mistake. The smaller engine size affects crawling performance in bumper-to-bumper traffic, with noticeable pickup only after 1600 rpm. A slightly larger engine could have attracted more buyers and provided a better driving experience. Hopefully, they take this feedback into account for future models.

    These days yes it is , because wrong campaining , lie about being more polluted to environment even after BS6 Phase 2 RDE .
    Let me ask the govt - where u dispose EV batteries ?? It is the earth surface only , it is even more harmfull than gasolines , it contains deadly elements like lithium alloys etc
    In our country the whole auto sector is at a serious pressure by NGT and govts who are passing stupid laws and guidelines.

    I don’t care so much about resale. I have a Škoda Kushaq and I bought it because it fits my needs and desires from my car. I keep my cars well and for a long time. Buy a car depending upon what fits your requirements. Not because it’s the best seller or has highest resale!

    Resale value of the vehicles depends on many factors including their maintenance cost, after market parts availability, fuel consumption, reliability. Sedans or SUVs are choices of people. If we just take as an example Polo, Swift, H-city has better resale value than Xuv500, Duster, Eco sports etc. People made choice of buying the so called SUV's because of the road conditions, If we have proper roads in place Sedans are ultimately the best driving experience with comfort.

    One point which is totally against what you are saying: Celerio and ignis top models are beyond 8.5 and 9.5 respectively. Anyone wishing to buy a car in 5 lakh is gonna buy a second hand car and if they want anything relatively new then these would sell
    If u go to any second hand cars site like spinny, truebil and true value..there are no cars under 5lakh which stay for more than a week or 2 and gets booked

    I had to cancel my booking with the dealership because they were imposing exorbitant charges. Despite my attempts to negotiate, they postponed the delivery until after Dashera. Unfortunately, I couldn't accept the delayed delivery because I was traveling from Karnataka to Maharashtra, and Maharashtra's BH numberplate requirement further complicated the situation.
    I booked the car back in may 2023 with dealership. I was in top 5 persons.

    There is also a possibility that Sedans may comeback after 4-5 years who knows what future has in store. Right now roads are flooded with Heel wali Hatchbacks aka Compact SUVs. Soon people will get bored with them. Also in EVs, range is very important and a good aerodynamic Sedan has the best chance to extract maximum range from battery.

    • @terrybatman
      @terrybatman หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nope. It's Indian roads which are forcing folks to go to suv.

    • @AkashYadavOriginal
      @AkashYadavOriginal หลายเดือนก่อน

      @terrybatman Sedans were more popular than SUVs before 2012. It was the launch of Duster in 2012, followed by Ecosport and Brezza. That made SUVs popular. And that trend continued to gain more momentum.
      While roads are getting better every year.
      If it was roads that were forcing people to go for SUVs, the situation would have been completely opposite, SUVs popular initially and Sedans getting popular every year as roads got better.
      Also this SUV trend is universal not just limited to India.

    Sedans owners need not worry about the stats. They are a different breed. We buy sedans for comfort and drive experience. For bad roads there are alternatives like the mighty spresso SUV 😁 aedans get lots of slack for ground clearance but it doesnt mean 1 car for all terrains.
    SUV sales are so high because everyone still riding high on the SUV wave. Show of social status is the reason for SUV wave. Most SUV are not even worthy of the tag

      Sedan owners should know that in USA sedans market share is around 20%. Roads are not bad there, still SUVs outsell sedans. There must be something good in SUVs. Think...
