I’m a Kushaq owner & trust me it brings smile on my face everyday day i drive !! I’ve driven seltos ,brezza etc and other cars they are not even close in terms of drive quality . I feel the trade off for a little smaller size than seltos / creata is absolutely acceptable atleast for me and very happy with the purchase.

I would request those people who are getting misguided by this video to personally check the car and talk with the car owners to get a good advice. I myself own a Kushaq and i have met many kushaq owners who are much more satisfied with the car. Smaller issues like AC issue is already fixed by software updates. Resale value is only meant for chapris who buy a car and within 2-3 years sell it to buy another car that looks good. Long terms buyers who keep the car for 8-10 years don't care about resale value. If VAG parts are not available on market then that is a good thing actually as maruti and Hyundai has less genuine parts and most of the duplicate parts available in the market. Once you drive a car with low quality brake pads from the market you will have 80% chance of accident. Its shocking that nowadays some youtubers are spreading misinformation about cars to gain viewers without even owning the car or having any capacity to own or maintain it.

I have my personal replies for your each and every point...
Lets summarise in short, the sale factor between mid size Suv's is due to the deisel/petrol variants! Others brands still offers both.
Coming to the point of after age maintainance, these are just launched. Still u wish to compare nd do with the earlier products( polo, vento, rapid) and also compare the overall maintainance cost with any other brand.
No doubt their labour cost is comparetively higher but dnt forget the service schedule (15k kilometers) while other offers (10k kilometers). Suppose for 30k kms of verna one is paying 7000/- * 3 times, while for a vento he is paying 11000/- *2 times.
Basically its a mind set nothing else. At last will conclude just by this IF YOU NEED A GOOD PRODUCT, YOU HAVE PAY I BIT MORE THAN OTHER CHEAP PRODUCTS.
Its India bro, here majority of people prefer street food, while some dine at 5 star resturants also. Both are happy and right as per their will and pocket.👍🏼

You can comfortably pamper yourself for being a VW owner. Maruti-Suzuki is still the leader of the car market in India. Driving dynamics with Honda's are way better over and above Germans. Average consumers don't buy cars to be driven on highways. They buy it for everyday practical use and resale. Yeah, you may applaud your fancy turbo TSI engine. See what you are loosing. Went through the full video. A very IRRELEVANT video about cars.
I own a Skoda Kushaq 1.5 MT and with 33K kms on the ODO. And this isn't my only car and I d have fair experience of highway driving and long drives. I think you are WRONG in ALL fundamental areas of cars
    1. Dimensions as per price: So you think the more the price the more the dimensions should be. Then only it'll be good. It's like more cc means more power. Maybe this is one the reasons why Indian car market is still an immatured one. Maybe this is why actual good car manufacturers like Chevrolet, Ford and Fiat left India. Because of our ridiculous choices in cars. We'll choose features over drive quality. For features we can buy a smart phone for God's sake.
    2. Interior Quality: Did you ever sit in a Kushaq or Taigun and then compared it to the contemporary competition. I doubt. Else you wouldn't have mentioned this point. I thought your video will give an insightful view but till now didn't find any. Please do some more research else your videos will not do justice to the channel name you claim to be.
    3. Spare Parts cost and availability: One of the major spare parts that we need to change are the brake pads. Creta brake pads and Kushaq/Taigun brake pads cost around the same. Kushaq/Taigun brake pads last till almost 30K kms on an average with proper usage. Whereas for Creta, brake pad failures are quite a common issue and normally people change the brake pads at 20K kms. Thought your insightful video will include this fact but it seems to be very cleverly avoided the cons of Kushaq/Taigun's competitors. Now, the respect to see your video is coming down. One more thins, regarding spare parts availability, in last 2 years of Kushaq ownership, never faced any such things. Please do more research before ranting out on YT.
    4. Resale Value: First of all, most people don't know how good these cars are as they don't have much touchpoints across India. But they're working on it and hopefully it'll be addressed soon. Regarding the mechanic things, I will definitely not ask any roadside mechanic to fix an advanced car. They're good off servicing Marutis and Hyundais. But will they touch Hyundai Creta or Kia Seltos. They mostly will not. Cars at this price level, roadside mechanics don't know the advanced engineering of these cars. So please, don't use your channel name. You're not a wheel addict at all. If you were, you wouldn't made such a childish video.
    5. Engine reliability: Now, regarding the ODO readings, I know of few Kushaq owners who have done more than 90K kms in 2 years of their ownership. And that too in the 1 litre 3-cylinder engines. And they're quite happy with their cars and without any complaints. I haven't yet done it so will comment on this part specifically but again your research seems quite inadequate and half-hearted and not at all a matured one. I understand your part. Maybe you're one of those who claim to be an auto expert and then Google whenever someone ask you anything technical. I feel you naiveness bro.
    6. Build Quality: Your comparisons are so irrelevant that I'm now thinking that I should've never seen this video.
I rest my case. This is one of the most irrelevant video and people thinking this video is correct know nothing about what a car needs to do or expected to do. And you're of that group of people which is why good manufacturers are actually leaving India. Please grow up bro. Drive more cars. Have more experience. Then maybe you will understand what irrelevant video this is.

    1. What about the wheelbase of Skoda Kushaq/ VW taigun that is the best in segment at 2651mm.
Larger Wheelbase offers better rear legroom and kneeroom.
    Creta-2600mm
    Seltos-2600mm
    Hyryder- 2600mm
    Grand Vitara-2600mm
Why havent you mentioned that, when you have mentioned all other dimensions aspects.
    2. You are mentioning about interior quality again and again why dont you mention about the features which Skoda/ VW offers and others in the competiton does offer at all, like
    1. All Illuminated power window switches.
    2. Brake Disc Wiping.

I feel kushaq/ taigun provides the driving pleasure with their over all driving dynamics which other cars don't provide.. sporty engine which is fun to drive...dimensions might actually be a boon considering city traffic these days and lack of parking space, and mind you kushaq has the longest wheelbase in the mid size suv segment due to which rear seat comfort and overall space is much better(not the width but leg space considering taller driver and passenger)..kushaq has much better high speed stability and very controlled body roll compared to the more selling cars you are talking about...
Lastly they are much safer cars than the other tin ka dabbas.
Bhai aur car lete hi bechneka hi sochne lagoge to phir Swift hi Lelo best resale value hai..

@@WheelsAddictIndia Well I bought Kushaq ambition(mid variant) and I think it's value for money compared to creta 1.5 S plus knight which is actually priced a bit higher, and comparing both practically, kushaq has better drivability, better headlight throw and is safe..but since creta has maybe more features like panoramic sunroof etc which attracts the masses..so it's a car for masses and not for driving enthusiast.Still feel kushaq/taigun has all the features that are practically needed. Maybe their quality dipped compared to their own standard but if compared to the other companies products in the market today I believe it's still ok...and they have resolved quite a few issues that the initial batches of car had like rattling issues, ac issues etc.
I agree that skoda reduced the screen size and reduced 1 or 2 features citing chip shortage and price increased so that is not justified.
But yea let's see how reliable these cars are in long term..but I am satisfied up till now.
I am still not sure about your price argument since creta is also very high priced and still you don't get safety, driving pleasure after spending so much.
Anyways I am happy with my product and that's all that matters to the buyer. Comparing cars on paper and actually driving these cars..then people notice the difference.
These cars are Indian made so availability of parts wouldn't be that big an issue I feel..but yea let's see what happens in the longer time frame.

It has better practical boots space than Creta/Seltos and obviously Grandvitara strong hybrid. When I bought car, I never thought of resale because I wanted to own a car which will be there for atleast 10years and put smile whenever I take car out.

Except point 1, others seems logical to me but still those could not deter me from buying Skoda product one year back. One more point you can add is - # of outlets esp in Tier 2/3/4 cities and villages are almost none compared to Tata, Maruti, Hyundai. This is very imp consideration for people while buying car. I might have re-considered Skoda if there would have no showroom in my city.

Firstly let me state that I own a 2013 i20 sports & have driven it 1.91 lakh kms, and it's still absolutely smooth & refined. Needless to say, I am quite happy with it & it is serving me exceedingly well.
Coming to the first point of dimensions - well, to be honest, almost no car's rear seat is actually meant for 3 adults. We do sit but for any medium to long journey, only 2 in rear seat actually sit comfortably. Also, apart from Nexon's 1810 & Xuv 300's 1820, most vehicles, even of Creta, Kushaq, Seltos, Taigun, Astor segment, width is in similar range. And most importantly, with mm it seems a lot, but in actual, just see how much is 4 to 5 cms 😊
Also, most people in our country have a liking and preference for a 'bigger looking car' .. which in my opinion doesn't necessarily lead to good looks. I feel the road presence / design language of a kushaq is far more sophisticated and smart and sporty and posh, and ageless, compared to its rivals. The need for bigger footprint is a very immatured ask of the mind, for me. A small example, look at Creta's tasteless front girll, and look at Kushaq's neatly-thought crafting. I agree looks are subjective, but still.
Coming to strengths of German, driving dynamics and build quality is where investment & priority has gone. So each brand, like maruti is excellent for mileage and affordability but too common,,, hyundai is a great blend of features and good looks, Tata off lately is having an appealing stance to its vehicles but not as refined as say a Honda. So I feel, to be among those kind of sales-numbers would surely not be VW's dream anyway.
When you see a vehicle with most people around, its charm in the mind goes down, psychologically .. so that way also, looking at these vehicles creates a super impression to the mind.
(Also, the audience and group which is buying Skoda VW won't even think about resale value factor | I never thought of resale value while buying my i20 10.5 years back)
I totally agree pricing is high, maintenance can be quite a thing, there are definite areas where this German group needs to/ can better itself.
But I do not agree that these are flop products. I am charmed everytime I see this emperor on road. In fact, just recently, upon checking its new prices, I felt - ohh pricing is so high, that I need to probably settle for something else, if I plan to buy.
So you get me? I am agreeing to you. Yet I am not as well 😊

I believe if the company has done enough paid reviews these cars might have better sales numbers. I have taken test drive for all the cars in segment except KIA (doesn't want split functionality) and I feel interiors are good if not the best. I checked both GV & KUSHAQ, if you say that GV interior quality and space is better, then I truly say I really don't know how to check the quality. I feel, whatever Skoda is providing in the mid-variants is VFM. When I saw the interior of the Venue top variant and with its price point, it seriously lacked the quality big time. Yes, the VW group is trying hard to increase the market share, for that they have to provide value with their vehicles. Assumptions like Ford will kill them in no time. 1.Don't lecture people about the road presence and looks. Because that part is subjective. They will decide not you.
    2. For some people a car is not just a commodity, it is a passion. And if that passionate choice is providing you with more safety than other then we shouldn't call it a flop rather commend them on it.
    3. Don't encourage people to buy cars based on their size. Congestions are bad enough already. People in metro cities are starting to prefer cars that are premium but smaller in size.
    4. Yes there has been some corner cutting in the interior quality but you should compliment them on it because brands like hyundai and maruti do corner cutting with the safety of the car.
    5. When you correctly point out the non-sense criterias of a second hand buyer who cares more about maintenance cost than safety, don't tell the brands to adapt to that, instead tell the 2nd hand buyers to fix their priorities.
    6. Try becoming a part vendor for a vw/skoda product and find out the accepted tolerances for part accuracy and then compare that with Maruti or ford. Then you'll know why the parts/maintenance is more expensive.
    7. Looking at your criterias for buying a car i suggest you change the name of your channel from wheels addict to commercial wheels addict. Taxi buyers need good guidance and you are perfect for it.

As a Virtus 1.0 owner, agree on the road presence point for Kushaq/Taigun.
But it seems you have an agenda against Skoda/VW. I disagree WITH YOU on many fronts, Interior quality is better than the average interior of Hyryder/GV, it is worse thank Koreans and MG but its not like it is the worst. In my Virtus there is rattling noise in the bottle holder apart from that everything is sorted. Regarding service cost, people not having service packs are getting there cars serviced at 7-8k which is reasonable and their service is hands down better than the Tatas and Mahindras anyday. Why are you not telling that?
Every VAG customer is a knowledgeable buyer, not of herd mentality.. buying a feature loaded paper (tin ka dabba) cars @15-20 LACS is a crime.. why dont you tell this to your audience instead of defaming Skoda/VW.
VW proudly shows off its inner structure, which other brand does that? Driving is a pleasure in these cars. Which other cars can remain stable at 140kph - tell me? You calling 1.0TSI a 3cylinder with poor NVH levels. Man it is the best 1L Turbo engine out there, It is miles better than 1.5NA, 1L Turbo which competition is offering. Heck it can handle up to 270bhp. Which other engine in the competition can do that?
Lastly you talk about resale, their sales are at peak they can produce some 8k cars a month only. Which is enough for them to sustain. Also To get your car to resale, you should be alive - why dont you tell your audience to buy safe cars instead of bashing the company which is atleast not milking their products and are true to their nature of 'Safety and Fun tor drive'.

Wasn't expecting this analysis about VW/Skoda Taigun/Kushaq from a person who owns Ford Ecosports. I would say that normally VW/Skoda buyers due not get lured towards the feature rich cars but solid and class leading performance engines like TDI & TSI. Parmish Verma ka naya gana sunno bhajji he says FEATURE DEKH K CAR NAHI LENDE, ENGINE TAGGDE CHAKKIDE ( I don't think this needs translation). Anyways, lemme tell you I own a Skoda Slavia 1.0 TSI Manual and it has been phenomenal till date, bought it a 1.3 yrs back. As a driver, what do prefer resale or sheer driving pleasure. Being living in Germany since over a decade, I'll tell that even Germans are not buying VW the way they were buying like 10 years ago, in 10 years Kia, Hyundai, Suzuki have introduced many models and those cost much less, performs at same if not better. No doubt, Germans cars are far better in built quality but even in Germany, the features are less for similar priced cars from Korea. Germans loves executive looking cars, SUV is still not famous, sedans, coupe (longer sedans) are preferred, SUV and MUV is mostly used in companies employees to move around for work, carrying tools etc, not a family car.

The only companies with brighter future and good resale are Marooti, Mahindra,Tata,Toyota.
People who don't bother about price, resale and prioritize brand, quality can go for any brand vehicle as per their choice.
But nowadays very few maintain their car for more than 3 to 5 years because vehicle industry is under fast pace evolution. And moreover Buying a car is more of an emotional thing.
The most important points an average buyer should consider for long term are
    1=Build quality - most important
    2=Spare price
    3=Maintaiance

I was a S-Cross 2018 Diesel owner and I was looking for a Diesel one in market this year. I loved S-Cross to the extent that had Suzuki reintroduced S-Cross I would have to blindly went ahead with it. But then many reviewers didn’t like S-Cross at all and had given negative ratings due to various reasons and they always compared with Creta. S-Cross really gave that feeling of big car with powerful engine.
Finally I went with Kushaq Petrol after trying all options, didn’t like the similar interior of Vitara but not equivalent to S-Cross. Seltos is feature overloaded, safety wise not too sure. Of course the interiors of Kushaq is little old school but it gives all required features and functions, I am talking about the top end version of Kushaq. And I love the sport mode and driving experience of this car, very smooth.
Nutshell it depends upon the choice of customers, as I went through multiple reviews and each one said not to buy Kushaq, they way I had seen for S-Cross. But I love my decision and do not regret. Thanks, Ram ram 🙏🏽

They have very good road presence apart from build quality and drving dynamics. Interior fit and finish is still miles ahead of the competition though. I don't agree with u there. The closest is Kia but still not at par. I own VW Polo (1.5 TDI 2014) and well as VW Virtus. Slavia has some creek because of the dashboard design elements. In VW Virtus the rattling comes from a very tilted placement of water bottle in the door. That's it.

I am driving a Skoda Kushaq 1.5 Style Manual. And it's just amazing. It feels truly European in every aspect, the engine is so powerful and responsive. Due to its longest wheelbase in the segment it has ample leg room space for rear passengers and which also supports stability. And now comes the looks, the skoda and VW always designs their cars elegantly, which is neither too boxy nor too sharp, their designs are truly their own and not copied or inspired from any other car company which usually Japanese and Korean do. In my opinion, the design of the car matters more than the road presence of a car. And I only consider the Kia Seltos 2023 variant in close competition to the Skoda Kushaq in the design. 😊

Škoda Kushaq is best Compact SUV among all SUVs like Creta, Seltos. Dimemsions are less, but the space inside vehicle quite better than both SUVs. the power which deliver Škoda 1.0 is more than creta and seltos. onroad journey Škoda Kushaq is a King..

I didn’t pick up these cons I highlighted them I didn’t say I don’t like the product if close to 3 lac cars are sold and skoda has a number of 4K monthly sales then there is a reason just highlighting those

it’s the ease of service, availability and cost of spares, how many days the company service centre is going to retain your car in the garage for repairs etc that matters. Size doesn’t matter ( eg Jimmy)

Very happy with the flop product dont care about the second car market price life jaada important please compare the interior quailty with grand vitara or xuv 300 VW plastic doesnt please like this cars. Just saying its flop car is very easy. definitely agree on service points and spare parts they are improving. Go watch DDS channel you know how maruti sc told its customer to sell this car because they couldnt find solution. So stop being mean to a specific VW and skoda group.

Sab to cover kiya but the most important thing is something you’re missing in this video. That is not being able to cope up with market. No ev options, no hybrid options in a country where fuel is so costly

People who are specially buying Skoda VW won't even think about resale value factor because they want to experience driving dynamics, stability, safety more. It can not be flop product because of resale value. Products are bought for 1st hand experience. No companies sell their product for RESALE value. RESALE is SECONDARY and OPTIONAL

    Exactly!!!
Comparing VAGs excellent products like Polo-Vento-Rapid-Octavia with their existing ones, then Kushaq-Virtus-Slavia-Taigun really look ordinary!!!
Comparing fords make in India with VAGs make in India, VAG is no were close to ford. Fords exit will definitely hurt India in terms of qualitative car competition whereas VAGs presence n absence in Indian market really doesn't matter!!!

Bro you are comparing Aam and Imli together. It's like comparing a Salman Khan 200 crore movie to an Irfan Khan movie which hardly made money. Jo bheed ka hissa nahi hain woh samjhte hain ye farak.
This review is partially cooked and assembled from many other reviewers. That's how your entire content can be summarised. Plus your analysis is more inclined towards what the earlier generation used to think and what they thought to buy based on sales numbers. I have driven your Create, seltos, Nexon and even your favourite Ecosport but Kushaq, even with the rattling sound performs far better than many of these and gives the confidence that none of these can even closely provide.
Aur after sales ki tension nahi skoda walon ko kyunki ye gadi 2-4 saal me tin dabba nahi ban jati kyunki Inki Umar hoti hai lambi. Aur rahi service cost ki, I got an issue resolved by skoda for merely Rs 45/- spare part only.
Channel chalao, content banao lekin misinformation na failao warna Ford jaise hi Vilupt ho jaoge.
    For anything more
Please get Kushaq's door shut on your face, just once😅.
    Jawaab mil jayega.

The drive quality of Kushaq and Taigun is way ahead than the cars you are comparing them with. By the way talking irrelevant things made your video hit. Kushaq and Taigun made you famous on YT bro.
