I have an 11-year-old Ford Figo and new gen latest Brezza automatic and have also driven a number of other cars, but the smile that my Ford Figo still manages to bring on my face every day, nothing has come close to it, also the OEM music system of Ford Figo is just phenomenal. And shockingly the plastic quality of 11 year old Figo is still many notches better than the latest Brezza. Its a shame Ford had to leave India.

I started from Toyota Qualis, that had best in class engine --- to Renault Duster, which had amazing suspension and now on Chevrolet Cruze 2.0 Diesel AT and the thrills it gives on the road is next level. it just gives the level of confidence that you feel you could take on any car on the road... Though its a high maintenance car and has given headaches along the way, the sweet pain is worthwhile......This blind trend of SUV SUV as you said has taken people away from the classiness of a Sedan..... test drove Virtus, Slavia and Honda City... they still are best in class...
Superb video. You discussed about Honda Brio, but I feel you should have added here Honda Jazz also. This superb CVT hatchback too has been discontinued by Honda now.

Absolutely. Words from a person who really knows the cars well. Eco Sport, Polo and Duster were great cars. Dusters highway handling was awesome. May be VW should bring back the Polo. I am sure, people still love it in new avatar

I think S-cross from Maruti's stable too was a great product! Felt spacious, comfortable, safe and easy to drive! Especially the facelifted version looked really good.

very true, i have ford fiesta 2012 model in diesel bought in 2013, super car, gives lot of confidence with precise steering feedback, its turbo boost is second to none, a true fun to drive car. It has all features which other companies started talking about now like cruise, voice assist. Speakers are awesome, my sub woofer and amplifier from previous car was of no use (no need). I am selling it now as in NCR diesel older than 10 yrs is not allowed. This is the first car that i am selling and this feeling of see it go has overpowered the joy of buying a new car.

Had Ford figo Tdci 2012 till 2019..gem of an engine, ultimate handler and superb build quality. Have dzire zxi now but sorely miss my Figo experience.. Felt really sad to see Ford leaving India

Own Ecosport diesel manual. Whenever I drive this car it put a huge inner smile that only a car enthusiast feels.
Ford figo diesel performance and maintenance cost is unmatched, this conclusion I have arrived at after using at least 5 other Indian cars of different brands of the same range. Your analysing is very true regarding the Indian taste and like and dislikes.

Driving Ford Aspire Diesel since 2018, and cant describe the driving experience the car offers. Its way better then many of current cars. In a nutshell Ford Aspire Diesel is a Driver's car.
I sensed pain in your voice when you talked about Endeavour,Duster...same can be said for fiat Linea...this is the pain of a true car enthusiast. We will never get better products till the time we are stuck up with resale value & kitna deti hai syndrome.

I have both the cars you mentioned & I am still using them. Nissan micra petrol manual 2013 & Ford aspire diesel titanium+ 2020. Both are gems & I will keep them as long as I can.

Proud owner of Scross 1.3 DDIS 2019 model, was looking for an automatic car back then but the only options were Tata nexon Amt and Brezza Amt , then took a test drive of Scross as I was never interested in the sub 4 meter Suv category, was totalling impressed with the space and comfort Scorss offered more than Duster as my previous. Recently took it from Goa to Patna , the drive was fabulous with an outstanding fuel economy of 20 kmpl at speeds of 100 to 120 kmph.
Drove it 1100kms in a single day from Goa to Nagpur in 15 hours flat without any fatigue. Ownership cost was also half what it costs today to own an 4300mm Suv.

Driving grand i10 asta petrol since 8 years and completed 1.86 lacs kms no problem at all best service by hyundai mostly driving on highways....what a car it is... will buy korean again no doubt.

I have Nissan Terrano 2014 petrol, trust me it looks way premium but sturdy than today's new cars. As you correctly said, can't be beaten in terms of Suspension, space comfort and drive feeling.

I had Scala from Renault disposed few months back after completing 10 years being diesel. I drove it for 1.40Lakh Km. This vehicle did not give me trouble even once in ten years. As far as performance concerned , it had best space , best average even in city drive with AC , best pick up, best suspension , best manoeuvrability . I would have continued with the same car had the rider of 10 years not there.

Rightly said Brio is still better than some of currently available hatchback cars in market.
Honda should relaunch Brio in Indian market with some more boot space and it will be grand success for Honda.

I still have Global Ford Fiesta DCT and it's a real Batmobile, Best car with BMW 320d like handling and ride. DCT (Getrag) is the same which was used by Mercedes at the time, it has Cruise Control, Hill Hold, Hill Descent Control, ESP, Traction Control, Cabin made of Boron Steel and was 5 star GNCAP rated in 2012/2013 and all this was in mere Rs. 9.25 Lacs !!
You are spot on correct , ironically in India I think people are just not descerning about the car's quality or performance . That's why really good products fail in this country and the run of the mill ordinary car's with just attractive interiors and attractive price and fuel economy sell like hot cakes . Who cares or really understands real engineering build quality and refined performance . I fully agree with your analysis of the Nisaan Micra , Ford Ecosport , Ford Endeavour and Duster , they were all no brainer super hit products . Good work anyways . 👍👍

I will vouch for Ford Figo. It was as good as the eco sport. It was fun to drive , light on pocket to maintain, with solid build quality and the first car with 6 airbags. I owned it for 6 years , truly satisfied.
