Along with sunroof, another waste feature is the DRLs (day running lights). In European countries where snow is common, this might make sense but in our country?! Another very disturbing and harmful-for-eyes feature, which is getting added like crazy and blinding the night time drivers is the 'LED projector lights'. Some more essential features to add to your list of must haves: 1) Automatic folding rear view mirrors 2) Rear view mirror angle adjustment 3) Factory fitted 10% dark window glasses to cut the harsh sunlight in our country's summer

One of the best lists of useless features in a car. Fully agree on Sunroof where i see educated people trying to flaunt their sun roof with kids standing out when driving... putting the lives of their loved ones at huge risk! Manufacturers are skipping on must have safety features like rear defogger/ washer, front and rear parking sensors, electronically adjustable rear view mirrors, auto dimming mirrors, central locking, TPMS....all these would help you drive with better safety....
But isnt it good to have a panaromic sunroof with the glass kept closed during evenings when the weather is not harsh. Wont it be a pleasant experience for rear passengers? I agree that with the sunroof glass open, it will be horrible.
I totally agree on sunroof story. First of all in summer times dust is all time high. Kids are pushed to enjoy sun roof while driving not understanding the flying dust hits their sensitive eyes, dust that gets into the car and how safe if driver hits sudden brakes!!! Sir, but isnt it good to have a panaromic sunroof with the glass kept closed during evenings when the weather is not harsh. Wont it be a pleasant experience for rear passengers? I agree that with the sunroof glass open, it will be horrible.
ADAS works really well even in city conditions. I have been using it for last 18 months. Extremely useful even in chaotic bumper to bumper traffic of Bangalore. Rest of the features are useless. I agree with you
Some ADAS features are useful in Europe and America and some are just gimmicks even for them. In India I really don't know what ADAS feature is useful. You should know that ADAS was originally intended for autonomous driving but it's not happening
So true, sunroof is not for Indian conditions. But unfortunately now a days security assistance like on screen display on left-right indicator is given only on toplines i.e. with sunroofs
I have watched a lot if your videos in the last week. Thanks a lot for all the input. As a novice and first car buyer i think i have adhered to a lot of things you mentioned and with the budget i had i have bought Nissan Magnite top model. Thank you.
You are hundred percent right. One TH-cam channel describes sunroof for drying children. We have hardly seen 2 or 3 cars with sunroof open and children peeping out. Useless feature.
Sir u r perfectly correct but in India previous trend (still there) was fuel saving now people are mad about sunroof, ADAS etc. Even coming out through sun roof is now punishable under MVA. Many of my frnds & family members purchased sunroof model but never opened it.
In my opinion, the useful, practical & necessary features in a car are better mileage, better built quality, high ground clearance, AC & heater, electrically adjustable & foldable ORVMs, rear defogger, wiper & washer, 360 camera, remote key, central locking, all power windows, driver armrest, cooled glovebox, rear headrest & armrest, ABS, EBD, Traction Control, ESP, front disc, Day & Night IRVM & ventilated seats
This is why i bought Citroen C3 Shine Turbo.....for driving pleasure, it has TPMS, Superb AC, Good Audio System, Rear Defogger, Fog lights as standard....also the throw from the halogen headlights is really good.
@@arv1ndgr i don't think so...as the tpms presence can be seen when we turn on the car and the console display the car with 4 tyres in orange color.....but it is not a selectable option....I think it will highlight the tyre which has low pressure but won't show value....I get my air checked during every 2nd visit to petrol pump...it drops from 32 to 29 in 15 days or so
Totally agree with you about sun roofs in India and in our climate call them SIN roof. People get influenced by auto reviews by many magazines and individuals youtubers who are irresponsible by not educating public properly, but they side with manufacturers as sun roof adds to profit. So is the case with promoting electric cars where technology is yet to evolve eco friendly and fore hazard is not yet taken care of. Most of today's gimmicks and gizmos are only to charge higher price for cars and that too on top.of highest taxes by our government.
Yaha human senses sahi se kaam nahi karti logon ki gaadi chalate samay...ADAS ki senses to bhul jaoo...😂😂😂 Wrong side chalane me mahir logon ke aage ADAS tik nahi sakta yaha...best suggestion video...👍👍👍

Very comprehensive analysis. Truly appreciate and agree a lot of features are really not required. But the car cos. launch their successful models in the west, in India without thinking but on the strength of marketing. And this is not just wrong but utterly foolish too. I live in Canada and so heated seats, mirrors, rear defrosters etc. make a lot of sense. But in India, cool seats makes sense. But they don’t change these features because they think these features are useful in India too…. Maybe in small portion - Delhi and above or north east but what about mumbai or south?? Pata hai basic difference kya hai??? India or west mein? India is north to south - so you will have different temp. zones whereas USA / Canada is east to west. So you have many time zones. But across latitudes, temp. Same hai to ye features more or less same hi kaam aatein hain. Par India mein aisa nahi hai. Now last point, why manufactures don’t make changes? It is because they will incur costs in making separate / different manufacturing and assembly lines. To ek to research mein paisa Dalna padega aur export mein dikkat aayegi. Isliye kum cost mein highest profit kaise kamaya jaay is chakkar mein koi kuchh bhi change nahi karte. Ye video bahot achha hai. ❤ loved 🥰 it. Ho sake to ise Indian manufacturers like Mahindra and Tata ke saath share kijiye. Shayad kisi ko dhyaan aa jaye ki consumers kya chahtein hain.
Also, buyers have to take seat covers unnecessarily as a compulsory accessories. Co fitted seats are really cool and don't need ventilated seats. But problem starts when you replace Co fitted seat covers with additional seat covers as an accessory. Seat gets heated with this add on seat covers which is not required at all. Magar sunatahi nahi koi. Na lene wala na bechnewalla. I've kept additional seat covers inside above loft at my home because I had to buy unnecessarily from car dealer. I'm very much happy with Co fitted upholstery.
Also i do see this all the time. people are still sitting on seats coverd in factory plastic wrap. car is like 2-3000km covered and still is in plastic wrap.
2:13 the reasons that you mentioned are exactly why you need ADAS in India I did a 10k mile drive in mid 2022 in the US. A couple of cars that I rented had Adaptive Cruise. I’ve been waiting to get my hands on a decent maker in India that has ADAS-2 at least. I test drove the Ionic5 and loved how Stop and Go worked at traffic lights. Lane assist is an irritation, sure. But EB and adaptive cruise are a blessing.
@mycarhelpline thanks to ur video guidance I did car drive before any payment and total check of car under sun. Sunroof is absolutely useless in India due to the amount of dust and hot weather that we have. Its also a hazard with children poking their heads out of it! And yes, dashcam as standard is absolutely necessary. Very good points made.
Lots of Car influencers are speaking up about the superfluous features which are offered by car manufacturers. I hope the manufacturers listen to you guys and make their base variants with the useful features and keep the superfluous ones for the absolute pricy variants.
I totally agree with all the points u hv mentioned... especially the sun roof, and people allowing their kids to stand on their seats to come out of the roof...so much disregard to their safety... While at the same time they want enhanced safety in the car!
A big flaw in factory fitted Hyundai dash cams. It only records front traffic. But a dashcam is incomplete untill both fron & rear recording are available. But unfortunately the rear cameras given from the factory only assist reverse parking but does not record any footage. So it's just useless. So I feel that companies should either give both front & rear dashcam or not to give at all. I would rather buy a car without a dashcam and then fit a high quality dual dashcam from the market. I'm using the DDPI Mola E3 dashcam in my S-Cross presently. It's an expensive but very high quality dashcam.
Thanks for very truthful video . Until People think car as need rather than luxury, depreciating asset rather than show-off item, these kind of features will be keep coming. There should be always battle between Utility ( Need ) vs Aspiration ( Luxury ). Car features which people should've in all cars ( All variants): TPMS, Rear wiper, Dash-cam, Parking sensors, rear-defogger, Fog-lamp, small lamp in boot space. These small features should be mandatory . Sad truth is unless govt mandates, these Mfg companies won't implement.
another useless gimmick is mode selector for Sports/City/Eco modes. this mode selector does not enhance the power of car. It only makes you believe that the engine is now under better command whereas the mode selector only retunes the engine for specific function, which you can easily achieve through right selection of gears.
Very true, Indian car buyers are having mindset of buying car like Europe or usa car type. They are buying it to show off and prove that they are super rich to their relatives and friends.
Now the car makers should come with customised variants according to customer choice. A customer should be given liberty to choose the features of his likings in his car.
Generally one imitates each other and go for utility gimmicks, rather one should judge to buy things on ones actual ground requirement. Sunroof is one big example. App based speedlimit indicator is available now, but u have to pay for it.

Sir, but isnt it good to have a panaromic sunroof with the glass kept closed during evenings when the weather is not harsh. Wont it be a pleasant experience for rear passengers?
I agree that with the sunroof glass open, it will be horrible.
Or smart connectivity (Bluelink) is good or bad ? Smartwatch connectivity should be working or not?
ADAS works really well even in city conditions. I have been using it for last 18 months. Extremely useful even in chaotic bumper to bumper traffic of Bangalore. Rest of the features are useless. I agree with you
wohi to keh re wo ki gaadi chalana sikho dhang se gaadi k ADAS k bharose mat raho.
Thank you.
Na chahte hue bhi sunroof mil hi jaata hai upper variants mein... ADAS is useful for highways... Baaki aapka analysis is right
You are hundred percent right. One TH-cam channel describes sunroof for drying children. We have hardly seen 2 or 3 cars with sunroof open and children peeping out. Useless feature.
गुरुदेव एकदम सही बताया आपने.!
In C3 does they TPMS show PSI readings?
What about service cost and spare parts availability 🤡
@@Elisa9395-y4z yet to go for my first service at 2000km this month....but the usual cost as reported by the servie cetnre is around 4000/-
@@arv1ndgr i don't think so...as the tpms presence can be seen when we turn on the car and the console display the car with 4 tyres in orange color.....but it is not a selectable option....I think it will highlight the tyre which has low pressure but won't show value....I get my air checked during every 2nd visit to petrol pump...it drops from 32 to 29 in 15 days or so

Highly productive informative information.❤❤❤. Amazing discussion and true fact which you have shared ..Hat 's off Sir .
Nice video as usual
Have 2 pointers
1.am eagerly waiting for for video on Jan-Feb 2024 Discounts
2. Any facelifts for skoda Vw cars? Specially in Taigun and Kushaq
Kya baat hai ...I'm impressed 20 out of 10👍👍
Very comprehensive analysis.
Moving car ke sunroof se sar baahar karna jaan leva ho sakta hai. Mujhe aise bachchon ko dekhte waqt dar lagta hai.
Ekdam perfect reviews kiya hai aapne 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
This is a correct way to assess a car ....nice ..
2:13 the reasons that you mentioned are exactly why you need ADAS in India
I did a 10k mile drive in mid 2022 in the US.
But EB and adaptive cruise are a blessing.
thank you for saving my 2.5lakh rs. was too tempted to buy sunroof earlier, saved more then 2lakh in 8.42minute
This is really eye opening video for first tike car buyers...thanks sir
Supremely sensible video.
Dashcam is a must as that will result in lots of heartbreak for the traffic police.
@mycarhelpline thanks to ur video guidance I did car drive before any payment and total check of car under sun. I just shared yesterday I got Elevate VX MT, Dealer insisted me to buy body Crome, but I thought. Will buy from outside but I have inquired here in Chandigarh Elevate Crome accessories are not available. Kindly help. 👍🏻
Sir I simply love you vlogs . I live in Darjeeling area and sunroof is such a wonderful thing to have here . ❤
I have adas in honda city and adaptive cruiise and auto emergency braking are useful to me . Not so much other adas features
Sunroof is absolutely useless in India due to the amount of dust and hot weather that we have. Its also a hazard with children poking their heads out of it!
And yes, dashcam as standard is absolutely necessary. Very good points made.
On the spot with Sun roof. I never know why people want to have this feature? What purpose does it serve? Thanks for point this out. 👍
बहुत बढ़िया जानकारी 👌👌👌
Lots of Car influencers are speaking up about the superfluous features which are offered by car manufacturers. I hope the manufacturers listen to you guys and make their base variants with the useful features and keep the superfluous ones for the absolute pricy variants.
Absolutely agree. Gimmicks which are totally irrelevant. Add stuff like automatic headlight/washer auto headlight etc.
Finally one sensible video on TH-cam
Very matured and realistic review. Hats off to you
I totally agree with all the points u hv mentioned... especially the sun roof, and people allowing their kids to stand on their seats to come out of the roof...so much disregard to their safety...
While at the same time they want enhanced safety in the car!
Rear AC Vent helps in uniform cooling .
Close any front AC lid and you can help extra air flow in rear AC vent.
bhai adas highway pr helpful rahega.? mtlb galti se drowsiness ho… neend aajaye ekdum se.. i know risky hai mtlb accidents avoid ho jayega kya.?
Sir plz reply automatic emergency break necessary hei ya nehin.mujhe lagta hei it is 100% necessary.plz reply
Totally agree on ADAS, sunroof, voice command. Wireless charging will help if co passenger needs charging then they don't need to hook the port.
I have understood very lately car is a depreciation asset 😢 thank you for sharing the info and educating people👍✊
Appreciating you are proving such a very valuable knowledge thank you and keep it up👍👍👍👍🙂🙂
another useless gimmick is mode selector for Sports/City/Eco modes. this mode selector does not enhance the power of car. It only makes you believe that the engine is now under better command whereas the mode selector only retunes the engine for specific function, which you can easily achieve through right selection of gears.
Awesome video
Very true and informative 🎉
Very true, Indian car buyers are having mindset of buying car like Europe or usa car type. They are buying it to show off and prove that they are super rich to their relatives and friends.
Now the car makers should come with customised variants according to customer choice. A customer should be given liberty to choose the features of his likings in his car.

बहुत ही बेहतरीन वीडियो ❤❤❤❤
100% agree..most of the features are features are gimmicks these days.
What a fantastic session sirji.... Well done
Speed limit suggestion is very nice. It should be recommended.
Helo Sir, Can you please do vedio for most useful thing someone should consider when buying a car
Well Explained🎉👍🏼👏🏻👌
But now a days people are more obsessed about the sunroofs😂😂
You are absolutely right sir, I agree with your points. 👍👍
HATS off to BRO, simply the BEST knowledge sharing!!
Excellent content..u changed my thoughts with valid points. Thanks
Can we get Rat mesh applied to the new car ? Will that cause any problem to the car ? Please let us know
Generally one imitates each other and go for utility gimmicks, rather one should judge to buy things on ones actual ground requirement. Sunroof is one big example. App based speedlimit indicator is available now, but u have to pay for it.
Thanks for sharing useful information.
Nicely explained the features usage
