  • Hey guys,
    In this video I want to show you how to make this wire weave pendant focusing on the layered weave look. I haven't used any gemstone settings in this pieces as I have used them in so many other videos and not everyone likes using these techniques. I hope you like it! 😁
    This was one of my earlier tutorials where I did not add US wire gauges so here is link to a conversion chart:

    Beautiful design. When wrapping with the half round, is it necessary to keep the flat side against the wire you are wrapping it around (for example, keep the flat side down)?

    • @ImbaliCrafts
      @ImbaliCrafts  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I would recommend doing that although you can get some pretty effects if you twist it for other applications such as a decorative coil etc... but for tying things down, it's best to try and keep the flat surface to the weave. Hope this helps :)

  • @ariadams2955
    @ariadams2955 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    What a beautiful piece I love watching you make this and thank you for sharing.... I have a question however I'm wondering what's keeping the stone stone in place is it the 2/5 weave wrapped around the frame or did I miss something

    • @ariadams2955
      @ariadams2955 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I see how you're holding the stone in place at 21 minutes… but I'm not sure how it was done before other than the front weaves..

    • @ImbaliCrafts
      @ImbaliCrafts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you very much! The stone is held in place by the 2x5 weave, the row of beads, and a section of wire coming from the back that holds the 4 mm bead on the top of the cabochon. I hope this helps :)

  • @celebrateme
    @celebrateme 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    This is such a beautiful wrap. I tried so many times and ruined my wire. I can't see how you twisted the wire on the sides around 15:09. Also, was the weaving base wire hard, soft? I joined the fb group but I don't see where you personally post. Sorry, I do appreciate your videos. You are very talented.

    • @ImbaliCrafts
      @ImbaliCrafts  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you so much! Sometimes it's a bit tricky to get the angles right. The weave is supposed ot lie flat on this particular instance, and whether the 'open' pattern is up or down, does not matter that much as long as they are all facing the same direction :)

    • @ImbaliCrafts

    • @ImbaliCrafts
