- This video shows how Mom coped last evening. She spent approximately one hour making vocals on & off. This footage is edited to highlight her hour long incessant cries into a 20 minute video. The vocals are varied. Sometimes the vocals are urgent and at other times very soft. Some seem desperate and some even mournful. Her voice seems very tired and weak near the end of the video, but then she seems to go into alert vocals.I heard chatter(via chat thread) that there was possibly an adult eagle who landed in the nest tree, so some of these vocals could have been due to an intruder eagle. I personally believe that some of them are calls to Dad. Mom is quite capable of raising the eaglets, hunting and catching prey, but it is very difficult to do it alone.

As of the time of this video production, Dad has reportedly been seen nearby. He has stayed away before. Why would he do that? No one can answer that for certain. It is migration season and there are a lot of birds and eagles passing through the area. Per RRP, Dad has been known to disappear for up to two days.

He’s hurt or he’d be there,they don’t leave there mate like that,I remember when Ozzie got hurt,,Harriet called for him a long time,this is so sad since she has three,this is why it’s so sad Mother Nature can throw a curve ball we don’t want to see,pray for those babies, I hope they go in & save them such heartache Lord have mercy on this precious nest🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🌺🌸🌺

Omg I’m so sad. Does this happen we’re one leaves for a while. She is so sad. I had no idea Eagles r so amazing and have feeling like this.
Poor mom, if dad doesn't return she won't be able to care for the eaglets alone and they will have to be rescued, but I hope he will return safe and sound without any drama. If he's just away on vacation, he should know that mom and the eglets miss him and need him to come home ASAP and be more responsible like a good dad should be. I feel sorry for mom as she's beginning to panic and fear for the safety and the future of her babies.
It looks as though she is looking at an intruder, possibly a new male. If you know of anyone in charge of this nest, please tell them that if a new male comes in he will push the eaglets out. And mom can defend them against a new male.
