I am about to launch a new series as the Documentaries have been delayed to lack of research time. Weather has also been fouling up filming days. There are two that are getting close to completion it just comes down to which remaining footage I can get first. I was hoping for December when I made this Trailer but now it will be early next year for the Documentaries.
Few Portland & Western locomotives are getting retired. 3006 was sent to Utah Railway, then 1501 was sent to BUGX in Stockton, CA. Some of the SD7's and SD9's execept 1854 are slated for scrap. They are being replaced with brand new GP38-2 locomotives. 3532, 3546, 3549, 3570, 3571, 3572, and 3593. The units 3001 and 3002 are scrapped and being replaced with 3571 and 3572.
The fate of the 1501/1801/1852 is still not certain. They are all headed to Kansas though. The 3001 and 101 were scrapped. The 3002 will be around for some time yet. As for the last part eventually the Toledo power line up is planned to be all 38s.
