Mate it's absolutely unreal that you've managed to build such an accurate and ultra detailed scaled down Titanic. In my opinion this is the best knowledge and attention to detail I've seen in 25 years.
3 years worth the wait. I remember watching the start of this project and I'll say this was an amazing set of videos to follow. Good work on you model. I hope one day may come when I can acquire this model myself and use your videos to make it as accurate as your build.
That is an absolutely stunning piece of work. The level of detail, added to all the additional skills to make it an RC moving model, is fantastic. Very well done!
10:50 There's speculation that this bar was an awning for canvas which could be fitted over the aft end of the promenade, but I've never seen a photo of it used for that. On Olympic this part of the promenade was very popular with passengers and that bar was most commonly used a swing set for children, usually have 2 swings set up at a time.
You've done an absolutely wonderful job there, Mate. Watching you build this has been inspiring for me. Thank you. I love the touch about Lord Pirrie and Mr. Ismay inspecting the ship. All the very best. 👍
Congratulations and thank you. Thank you for taking the time and trouble to show everyone else how you achieved such a brilliantly detailed model of this iconic ship. 👍
And it only took you 3 years to do it. Though who am I to talk: it took me about as long, if not longer to get my 1/350 Minicraft model built, and I had my mom helping me. 😅 Wow: hard to believe she's finally done. I was starting to think you'd never be finished. This is easily one of the most detailed models of this beautiful ship that I have ever seen: if I were to compare your work to others on the Internet, it's Top 3 with Jason King's massive 1/100 and 1/76 scale models, as well as the 1/350 scale kit by Art Braunschweiger. Marvelous job: I'll have to go back and watch the whole process start to finish eventually, because there was no chance I was doing it originally. Can't wait for the maiden voyage! :D
Thank you so much for doing these videos. I'm currently building the Trumpeter Titanic and your videos keep me motivated and help get me over the stumbling blocks! Very much appreciated sir!
This is jaw-dropping. I've never seen its equal. I'm a bit sad that it's complete. I've been watching you for 3 years and I've learned so much about the fine details that went into this Edwardian masterpiece. Thank you.
Thank you, there is a lot going on on titanic. It’s been a good project, that has kept me busy doing the pandemic so it’s been a pleasure sharing it. Thank you for your support throughout!
It's been a great vovage with you . all ups and downs on the way have made it a wonderful build excellent job young man . My daughter loves that you put the dogs on board now she wants me to build the Britannic as she in the hospital form . well done again cant wait for the next project .
Can’t believe it’s been 3 years…seems like yesterday you were drilling the portholes in on the hull! Congratulations Robbie, it’s been great to watch- I wish I had your patience! Looking forward to the next project 👍🏻
Haha I know, time goes by fast dosent it! Next project will hopefully not involve porthole drilling! Thank you for watching throughout, it’s been more fun to build with peoples comments and support
It has been an incredible voyage, accompanying the building since the first steps to she being completed. Congratulations for your efforts. She's stunning. I've never seen a model so detailed before, and the fact that she can sail is a big plus! Can't wait for your next project
Congratulations! I enjoyed following along with your entire project, picking up several great modeling tips. Keep up the great work on your next project!
Wow, absolutely amazing work:) The level of detail on her is outstanding 👏 She really is the most beautiful ship ever made ❤ Nothing comes close to Titanic ❤ Looking forward to your next project 😊
fabulous and sterling work for putting all the time and effort into her - plus actually finishing it, is a major accomplishment the first place! I look forward to seeing her sink...er float with majesty! 😀 ...and then roll on the Lotus Esprit!
wow i've been watching this for more than an year and cant believe finally it done so great probably most detailed and clean titanic 1/200 i've ever seen
Absolutely magnificent, that is a true work of art.. by far the FINEST I've ever seen, you really have done her a vast amount of justice, captain Smith, the crew and all who perished with her will be smiling. I can't describe how stunning this is. Well done, job well done Rob. It's been a fun and incredible journey, and now the finish line has been reached. If your planning another ship anytime soon, us viewers will be looking forward to it. Get the champagne out, get your feet up and have a well deserved rest, congratulations and well done 🎊🎊 🎊 👏 👏 👏 👍 👍
It's done! the work is outstanding, CONGRATULATIONS! Words can't express how detailed this is, well it's a bit like you went back to 1912, and shrunk the Titanic then put it in your room! it's just SO detailed!
Robbie... THANK YOU SO MUCH for showcasing China 3D, BnB Scale Ship Jewelry and just being a great friend and group contributor for Trumpeter TITANIC 1/200th model ONLY building tips and tricks. Great job.... "May the wind be at your back and home always on the horizon" - "Second Star to the right, straight on 'till morning"
Many thanks. And thank you for all the parts you have sent over the last three years. It’s been a pleasure to show them but they have also allowed me to make a far more detailed model than I would have done otherwise!
Bravo. An outstanding tribute to the real thing. Seeing this final video was like watching the end of an era. Godspeed on her maiden voyage. At least it shouldn't be cold enough to encounter any icebergs.
Hi Robbie, Great job, she is a credit to you! The bar going to the aft mast was actually called a rafter and was intended to carry an awning for the passengers. It was also fitted with some small eye bolts on the bottom edge to allow a swing to be fitted for the passengers recreation. Wow! The fire hydrants all look about right Rob according to the plumbing plan that I have. They were actually called weather deck bibbs! The Pontos PE does actually provide for these but to be honest they do not look very good as they are basically very flat! Your creations look fine. I have made some progress so I will email you soon! Regards JH 😉⚓
Afternoon John, Thank you! I had a feeling the hydrants were included in Pontos because I remembered seeing them, but couldn’t find them in any of the sets I currently own. So makes sense! Thanks for the clarification on the rafter, that is a lovely little detail, and would be a nice addition to an Olympic model. Looking forward to hearing from you soon, Robbie
10:50 As far as I know, this piece of wood was used to mount a collapsible roof, sort of awning. Later on the Olympic, there were swings fitted for the children.
Yeah I think so too, thats what I always heard it was for. I don’t see why wires would have to be run through in the air like that, it‘d be easier to put it under the deck than having to build a box around them and hanging them in mid-air.
15:47 One small question. Shouldn’t there be stairs coming from the back of the superstructure onto the aft well deck? Just curious. Outstanding work on the model otherwise.
Fantastic video. Looks great. I think the pole of the aft main mast was covered with a sheet on the Olympic so passengers could stand outside on wet days.
Haha, I was nervous throughout. An enthusiastic dog ran up to me at one point which I had to ward off quite forcefully! But once she’s in the water she does quite well. That said I won’t sail her much, two or three times to get the material for a sailing video and occasionally thereafter!
Absolutely stunning model, I only discovered your channel just as you was halfway through this build and it’s been amazing to follow you on this Titanic journey, can’t wait to see her sailing next especially near sun down when you can turn her lights on, I’m currently building the Airfix HMS Victory and I’ve managed to get my hands on some photo etched parts, can I ask you what primer you would recommend for brass etched parts? I’m a complete beginner when it comes to photo etching, thanks for all the entertaining videos.
Good question, I think Trumpeter. I only really have experience with Trumpeter and hatchette and I think trumpeter has far better external detail. I can’t speak for other models at 1:200 scale though. What I liked about the trumpeter kit is that there is so much room for manoeuvre, you can build it as is, or use additional sets, it’s a very versatile kit.
Might be wise to have a fishing line or string tied to the back of it when going over deeper parts of the water you test it in. You never know when a hole might become present or if water finds a way to get in. If water gets in and damages any electrical components, she could be dead in the water and sinking too far away from where you could reach her. A fishing string would allow you to reel her in to attempt a salvage
I think there should be links to the passengers, either in this video, or in the one specifically relating to passenger painting. I bought three different types of 1:200 people
@@TheModelBoatGuy Well... I’m sure it would be of the finest quality, thou, I would probably go for a Spanish cava, Segura Viudas Reserva Hererdad! My go to sparkling wine, Moët Chandon and Veuve Clicquot are fine... but do you really want to spend that much! ;)
I’ll make other models in due course! Want to get all the work on this fully done first though. I fancy a RMS Mauritania but there are no current good size kits. There’s an old one from the 80s but it’s quite spenny! I did a video on some other ideas too

Thank you Paul, it’s been a pleasure. It kept me busy during the pandemic and it’s been lovely thing to share with folk like yourself

Been an absolutely fascinating build to watch.. 🚢🚢🚢 Can’t wait for the next keel to be laid 😊👍🏻

The fact she can sail plus all the detail makes this probably the best Titanic model I've ever seen. :D
Congratulations! I enjoyed following along with your entire project, picking up several great modeling tips. Keep up the great work on your next project!
Amazing Robbie…you should be so proud of your work. Beautiful model. And I’ve spotted a few things I need to finish on my own build. 😮
Once again, your attention to detail is impeccable. Bravo, good sir. I tip my cap.
Thank you kindly!

Looks Great! Fantastic Job!
Thank you!
Finally, after all this work for insane detail and accuracy, it's finally done
Great work, man!! The ship looks gorgeous!

Really nice work.
I followed this build from start.
And i just started mine rc titanic and use you're build as a guide.
Awesome work.
The journey is over my feelings are sinking roll on the next model. The model looks fantastic.
Would love to see it all lit up in the glass case. Amazing. Well done

Well done!
Congratulations! Best build on utube by far , thanks for the journey 👍😊😊😊😊😎😎😎😎
Thank you, much appreciated comment! It’s been a pleasure.
Magnificent! Congratulations mate!
Thanks a lot!
after THREE years of watching you're actually done
15:47 One small question. Shouldn’t there be stairs coming from the back of the superstructure onto the aft well deck? Just curious. Outstanding work on the model otherwise.
LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, congratulations on finishing this! it turned out insanely good!
Congratulations! Really great job! This is the best 1:200 model definitely!
Thank you, much appreciated
Congratulations and lovely job with this! It looks incredible
congrats on an amazing job!!
amazing job , congrats!
You did a fine job....Looks great!
Thank you!
Fantastic video. Looks great. I think the pole of the aft main mast was covered with a sheet on the Olympic so passengers could stand outside on wet days.
Yes that seems to be the case, apparently they also hung swings from it for kids to have some fun on
Outstanding work! Thank you for sharing this!
My pleasure, thank you for the comment
She is beautiful magnificent titanic her self would be proud amazing work you have done
Superb model, love the detail in this scale. Have you considered placing the model into a glass case?
Simply Stunning , well done
Thank you! Cheers!
Amazing!
amazing 👏
Can you give the detail on how you construct the hull step by step
I commend your dedication
Thank you!
You must have a massive set to be putting that into water after the immense time and effort you've put into this
Haha, I was nervous throughout. An enthusiastic dog ran up to me at one point which I had to ward off quite forcefully! But once she’s in the water she does quite well.
That said I won’t sail her much, two or three times to get the material for a sailing video and occasionally thereafter!

Do you think a perspex / glass model cabinet ideal - will protect and save the dust
I have one actually, just don’t tend to put the glass on while working on it because it’s a bit of a faff. Now the model is finished I will!
Mauritania next !
Exquisite!
bellissimo lavoro! Scusami....i personaggi dove li hai comprati!?
Hello, there should be links to where you can buy the figures in the description of the video 🙂
If you would have to build it again, would you select trumpeter, hachette or other?
Good question, I think Trumpeter. I only really have experience with Trumpeter and hatchette and I think trumpeter has far better external detail. I can’t speak for other models at 1:200 scale though.
What I liked about the trumpeter kit is that there is so much room for manoeuvre, you can build it as is, or use additional sets, it’s a very versatile kit.
I would challenge anyone to say that there is a more detailed and beautiful model of Titanic than yours since its sinking in 1912.
Looks fantastic! Im building the hachette version. Where did you get your passengers from? I'd like to put them on mine.
I think there should be links to the passengers, either in this video, or in the one specifically relating to passenger painting.
I bought three different types of 1:200 people
amazing…. where did you buy the human figurines please?
Thank you, Check the video description for figures. There’s links to them
Bravo!🎉 Time to open a bottle of champagne !
Ooh good shout, what champagne was on titanic?? That’s the real question
@@TheModelBoatGuy Well... I’m sure it would be of the finest quality, thou, I would probably go for a Spanish cava, Segura Viudas Reserva Hererdad! My go to sparkling wine, Moët Chandon and Veuve Clicquot are fine... but do you really want to spend that much! ;)
Hi, what did you use to make the weathering?
A selection of things, weathering powders, paint washes and a bit of dry brushing
Unbelievable ...
😳😳😳😳😳😳😳👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
absolutely unreal
are u gonan sell it
The rod to the after mast would have been used to drape a tarp.
After some time, I suppose you will start adding rust, runs on the keel? 😅 to add an extra layer of realism.
Blimey what am I going to watch now?
Have you got some ideas in the pipe line?
I’ll make other models in due course! Want to get all the work on this fully done first though. I fancy a RMS Mauritania but there are no current good size kits. There’s an old one from the 80s but it’s quite spenny! I did a video on some other ideas too
Three years: I was hoping to knock something like this up over the weekend.
I mean in my first video I said ‘over the next few months’… so I rather under estimated too!
A lot of the deck windows seem to be missing.
Which ones? Let me know which ones and where and I can correct them
