      I find a wide tipped screwdriver works well in mud. Saves my fingers😁

    I am loving your videos! Thank you for posting them! I've never been fossil hunting before but I am going to Lyme Regis for a day trip in 2 weeks time. Where would you suggest a complete newbie go, please? Thank you!!

      I would suggest going to either Monmouth beach located behind the Cobb harbour area or Black Ven towards Charmouth. Both are pretty good for finding fossils big and small!

    Hi... Silly question but what are the nodules you mention? Where in the cliffs do they come from?

    • @LymeRegisFossilDepot
      @LymeRegisFossilDepot  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, the nodules are often the correct stones that contain fossils, mainly Ammonites. Different nodules can contain different species of Ammonites and the nodules come from the different layers in the cliffs. Hope this helps! 😊

    Those pyrite ammonites look really delicate. Do they hold their shape once removed or do they crumble and fall apart?

    • @LymeRegisFossilDepot
      @LymeRegisFossilDepot  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Those baby Ammonite are fused to the pyrite bed, but occasionally small ones can part come away and they can be pretty stable.
