When the trailer for this game first premiered, I thought “oh, they’re obviously setting up a story where Bruce is revived by the court of owls and serves them as an elite talon you’ll have to fight. Then, near the end of the game, the Bat family will make him remember who he truly is and they’ll all team up against the court”. This ending is so much worse than I could have imagined.
My theory is that she secretly had Damien and Ra's found out his grandchild had been kept from him and he snapped. Hence what he means by "You allowed this blasphemy? This sacrilege!" and I think despite what she says this whole thing was improvised planning on Talia's part. It's possible lingering guilt and loyalty towards her father as well as Brue caused her to snap. I also think she brought Bruce back so they could raise Damien together as part of a macabre fantasy of a "perfect family" and the whole having Bruce replace Ra's thing was just her excuse she would tell herself and others. I hope that's the case anyway I like the idea of Talia truly having lost it from having her loyalties torn for so many years.

I don't think any two people are affected the exact same way by the Lazarus Pit I imagine the state in which you died, physically and mentally, would have a huge impact. Jason went out fighting, confused and hopeless, so he came out insane and vengeful. Bruce went out fighting, content and accepting of his death, so to continue after accepting your end must be immensely surreal.
Why do Lazarus Pits suddenly grant superpowers? I though Ra’s was so dangerous simply because he had trained over hundreds of years and all the Pits did was stave off aging and heal him? I kinda hate the whole “mystic green super mist” thing.
I feel like WB Montreal heard the joke that Batman must have a death wish and took it as fact. Guy had no reason to ram Ra's al Ghul's sword deep into his own torso during the intro cutscene, but did it anyway for dramatic effect to show that "unlike you, I'm not afraid of dying for what I believe in!" Pretty sure Ra's has done that plenty of times, but whatever. Then, after knocking Ra's out temporarily, Batman makes no effort to restrain or imprison him. No... Batman blows himself up instead. Genius level intellect. Then after getting brought back to life, he gets himself stabbed here and decides to become a suicide bomber, blowing himself up again needlessly (auto-pilot, Bruce. Auto-pilot). Oy. There's something off with this Batman. His martyr complex is ramped up to 11 and he seems to actively look for ways to die in needless, explosive bursts of idiocy that also violate his no-kill rule. Just...yeah. Eh.

In a lot of continuities, the older Bruce gets, the more volatile he becomes, more mistakes etc. that and I don’t recall what the term for it is, but he’d been through a lot. Some people don’t notice they get like that until it’s too late.
Yeah honestly I don’t think the other characters feel as fleshed out in this game, maybe they can say some missions are more interesting with different characters but so much of this hits harder with Jason and Bruce. Especially here when Jason is talking Bruce through the effects of the pit and knows exactly what to say because he’s been through the same thing. And then scenes where talia is talking about the pit just hit harder when she’s talking directly to him and not just name dropping him to his teammates.
Also, they couldn't find a way to give Bruce a better one liner? "You may be the rich and powerful, you may be the kings and queens of nations. But I... am vengeance." It's not good, but it'd have been something. Ha

I have to say that this is my favourite batman presentation and I really wished they let him available to play for free roam and side missions after you finish the main story. Can't say I'm a big batman fan but I just felt for this guy and was really hoping that they'd bring him back :(

They portrayed this game to be a sequel to Arkham Knoght but playing that game again I’m noticing how much shit is different. Barbara isn’t paralyzed Tim looks 10 years younger and Raz shows up out of no where in the bat cave after the nightfall protocol to kill Batman lol
They got me by thinking this shit was a sequel when it’s just a standalone separate story

The writers know better. If a character is to die then they stay dead to retain impact OR they're only assumed dead. Resurrecting them is almost always cheap. Resurrecting them only to have them off themselves in a 10 minute span is disrespectful.

I have to say that this is my favourite batman presentation and I really wished they let him available to play for free roam and side missions after you finish the main story. Can't say I'm a big batman fan but I just felt for this guy and was really hoping that they'd bring him back :(

Everyone saying Batman voluntarily killing himself is off their rocker, it is completely against Batman to waste life in such a way, even his own.
"Seeing his job is done" is tantamount to quitting, and Batman never quits, even when he ought to.
Hell, even when Terry McGinnis is a fully self-sufficient Batman and Bruce is a wrinkled bag of bones, he STILL does everything he can to help others and fight crime.
So yeah, this is highly uncharacteristic and likely an excuse for no playable Batman
