@@LawysArt Gotham Knights is objectively worse than Knight but lets not revise history and act like Rocksteady wasnt sick and tired of making Batman Arkham games. It shows that Knight is the weakest Rocksteady game especially in terms of writing (deliberately not bringing back Paul Dini) and boss battles. They wanted to wash their hands of the series because continuing one series for 6 years would get tiring
I was always impressed with how the Arkham games handled Batman's cape. How it reacts to rain or snow, the way the cloth physics gives it realistic weight, and the fact that whenever you're gliding you can see small cuts in the cape. I'm still impressed even if Arkham Knight came out 7 years ago. And then you look at Batgirl's paper towel cape.
Having more cuts in the cape as the games go on is such a neat feature that I didn't notice until I had beaten and replayed them. It's super cool to see
You could apply that to the entire AAA videogame industry as a whole. The 2000's and early 2010's saw game companies finally figure out how to make the best games they possibly could, all so they could take those lessons and avoid doing anything like that ever again.
If its anything like our company, we went woke and many of our best people left and those that were hired on were heavy DEI where it mattered more than you were a Mexican lesbian than actually best qualified.
@@TheAluvisify They aren't...the so called next-gen is a joke, only now we're getting games announced that look a bit advanced graphic wise but so far the games look the same as what we had in the past gen.
The thing about Arkham that really impressed me the most was the point when you notice that the situation of clothing of batman from start was completely fine but after big missions its torn, tattered, bruised and messed up when you come to ending. It goes to know how much work was put in narrative building. These little things are inspiring and makes you feel the pain Batman has gone through for the whole night.
@@Zeus.thunder it is, when it depicts the idea of hard night for batman through visual means. You can look at the state of the batsuit to understand that he has had a tough night. It doesn't go from fine to worse in a single go but rather it happens gradually overtime you do main missions.
Sometimes the Batmobile spawns far away from you where you summon it and the result is hearing it roar from very far away in an echoey effect, I don't think it's intentional but that very specific and tiny moment makes Arkham Knight one of the greatest
It is intentional and its awesome. Theres nothing like hearing the batmobile howling in the distance and then you see thugs running down the street away from something, and there is the massive batmobile tank chasing after them like a movie monster, only to swerve to a halt in front of you like a loyal dog. A true masterpiece.
It's done to avoid literally the problem we see with the new game. The car always spawn just outside of your view so its not just magically appearing in front of you when though thats exactly what is happening. The witcher 3 does the same thing with the horse, it will spawn just slightly out of view and come running up to you. Even GTA would try spawn your personal cars where ever the player wasn't looking It seems these days the devs don't care enough to do that anymore
I agree, I am blessed to still have the original still left to experience but hawt damn the original Arkham city/Knight made my highschool years so fun. I miss those days of having a FINISHED game on day 1 😭🤦🏽♂️🔥
Reminds me of what somebody said about Dead Space: the reason a 14 year old game can old up relatively well is due to art direction, appropriate visual obscurity, and effects.
The technology was more limited but the artists were incredible. It's kind of like how the original Jurassic Park movie has such incredible CGI for the 90's. The technology was very primitive but the guys who made it were industry veterans with decades of experience, they used all that knowledge and experience and then applied it to the new CGI technology. For example the guy that oversaw the animations had never done computer animations before but he was one of the best stop motion animators in the world. As such he knew exactly how things should move realistically.
It’s not even the visual aspect of it, when you walk as Batman, your footsteps have so much weight and the noise they make when you walk just exudes how much power he has as a character, such a cool little feature there
I mean that’s just a poor design choice in between devs. But i agree it does make a difference though. The grappling animations seem pretty identical just in Knighhts it’s not as polished to not show the jarring Transition/in between motions as shown in the Arkham series. But past that you’d think folks(devs and producers)! would see a good idea and great execution and think to just repeat and replicate those results.
@@MrSquishy0 It's not about physical mass (both of these are just 3d shapes moving forward slowly), It's about the details. In Arkham Knight the camera dynamically moves with the subject (batman), bobbing with each step, adding emphasis to each footsteps. The animations are long, flowing, and seamless and the sound design also imparts more details that immerse you further; loud footsteps with multiple different sound effects that trigger, so each footfall sounds unique and close to what we experience in real life, also varied depending on the surface he makes contact with. Compare it to Batgirl who has a short, stiff walking animations with no variation or other visual flourishes, so you can clearly see the animation loops. The camera is fixed and doesn't emphasise anything, and the sound effects are muted and samey, you can hear the repetition. Hell even look at the pedestrian to the side, he doesn't even have shadows. Just in that one clip there's a WORLD of difference between the level of care that the Arkham Knight devs took to create an immersive, realistic world, and the Gotham Knights devs who I personally believe just did the bare minimum to meet their contractual obligations and get the game out on time. I just want to add that let's not forget that Arkham Knight had an absolutely terrible launch too. Performance issues across the board crippling the game's success that couldn't be addressed in a timely manner beacause they were dealing with their own pressures to release the game, but under rough edges you see a project filled with love and care. Nowadays, big open world games like this are formulaic as ever and created to tick boxes instead of providing an immersive experience.
No one's said it yet but the sound design in Arkham Knight is just impeccable as well. When you soar the sky and fold/unfold the wings, it really sounds like a bat fluttering around.
@@Sasquatch33 one thing i hate in arkham is that they use batmobile a lot and boss fight were just not as good as before. but neverthless, it was still a great game.
My old Xbox 360 is long dead, but my 9 year old son started playing Arkham Knight on game pass...he loved it so i re- bought the entire trilogy on Series X. So while most 9 year olds are playing Roblox and Fortnight my boy is about to complete the entirety of the Batman Arkham trilogy....raise 'em right gentlemen...raise 'em right.
Ra really had a point about theatrics. Like that Batmobile vs bike entrance. Having it roar in the distance and spawn just behind you instead of just appearing in front of you makes all the difference.
True but this is missing context. In Knights the city is fully populated, its business as usual. So they have to be stealthy, as the cops are also after you. So invisible bike makes sense. In Knight the entire map is evacuated by civilians so batman doesn't have to be as subtle if he doesn't want to be.
@@Krackerjax Sure, but I feel like a different effect and some distortion would go a long way to make that invisible bike thing more realistic since as it stands rn, it looks bland. Could've arrived from the back a little, with small and subtle distortion like when the Helicarrier cloaks or any "invisible" effects appearing before uncloaking in front of you.
@@Krackerjax EVEN WITH THE CONTEXT, they picked the CHEAPEST decloak visual effect they can find. Like that kind of special effects are things you see on a cartoony game like Overwatch, and OW is already a cheaply, rushed game on development. If you're still not convince that Gotham Knights is like a high school project compared to Batman Arkham Knight, then you just have no soul
Friendly reminder that not only did Arkham Knight come out in 2015 like everyone else is mentioning, it was also made on the archaic Unreal Engine 3, which makes it even more astronomically impressive
I loved Unreal Engine 3. It was a prominent staple of the 7th generation of gaming, and so many games were powered by it. Not all of them looked good, but those that did were able to show off some really awesome environments, lighting, character designs and particle effects.
Arkham Knight was truly something special. It still looks absolutely incredible seven years later (seven years?! The time flies). The technical aspects, the art design, the atmosphere, the weather, the effects, the animations, EVERYTHING just looks SO GOOD and is complimented by top notch, ridiculously punchy and crisp sound design. It's just so... satisfying to play or even just watch. And then you have Gotham Knights which looks like a mod for Saints Row IV.
It's mind boggling how Arkham Knight still looks insanely good. It's just timeless. I bet if it was released in 2023 noone would say it's graphics are outdated
Arkham Knight's textures and atmosphere carry it hard, just like how Arkham Asylum back in 2009 looked pretty damn good despite the models being pretty lackluster. These games textures are solid as hell and the lightning is so good
Also the fact that it can run on a business laptop of 1.3 kg with 1080p settings. Like, I wonder if its the gaming companies fault to pay less compared to others and hire bad programmers nowadays. Like RDR2 has the exceptional graphics and yet it can reach 25 FPS in business laptops with NVidia MX350 (really good optimization from Rockstar). This then saddens me how games like God Of War (not talking about Ragnarok) cannot be played with 30FPS stable 1080p in business laptops, like what is the excuse?
What’s amazing is that in Arkham Knight, the Batmobile literally just stays where you leave it. It doesn’t despawn unless you’re across the map from it. And usually if you’re within 200 metres of it, it’ll actually drive to you when you call it, instead of just appearing
Stop flaming the batcyle of all things. It optical camouflage thats why it just appears and disappears. If you did have to call it, it would run over people like in arkham knight where the thugs would get electrocuted
I think my favorite thing about the Arkham series was that every action felt like it had weight to it. Like when you punch a bad guy all the focus went into to that punch. I find games these days really miss that mark.
To be fair, some of those Arkham games were generational. Can't really compare them with any normal game if you want to talk about the state of gaming these days vs that era. For example, I find God Of War's combat mechanics just as satisfying.
It's crazy how even the grappling is better in Arkham knight, you can see there is some weight to batman whenever he grapples onto something, whereas in Gotham Knights you lose all sense of momentum and just go straight to where you grappled onto
Looking at this footage of Batgirl zipping around in Gotham, it's even worse considering that Batgirl in the Arkham DLC has weight to her and is just animated so much better.
@@starplayer2066 Yeah but in the DLC for Arkham night batgirl was was the same size but the way animation for the grappling is in the newer game just isn't as smooth looking
You forgot to show how house corners gets smashed to pieces when the batmobile hits them. I think that was great, it doesn't just show the power of the batmobile but also doesn't slows down your driving if you take a corner wrong.
Wow it's crazy how many improvements they can make in 7 years. The graphics, sound design, collision, and overall ambiance improved so much in Arkham Knight. Can't believe it's already been 7 years since Gotham Knights came out... time flies!
oh yeah that was totally badass, the straight driving sections were epic too. how it would just obliterate cars and send people flying. too bad 60% of the game consisted of tank fights against drones.
I think Cloaking tech and the idea that the Batcycle is always around is more badass and makes more sense when taken into account that a tween can remove your Bat-tires then a grown man should too then the Batmobile is useless but I loved how the Batmobile just comes to you lol And the Thugs checking out the Batmobile is harlious
arkham series stands out as one of the best sound designing. my favourite gliding sound was AC's also combat sounds. then comes AO, the electric shock globes really sounds so freakin amazing. then the best of all AK. from destroying the last tank, glide sound after release of grapnel boost, and diving and gliding upwards. the sounds that cape makes it so satisfying to hear. not to mention batmobile's afterburner, eject, battle mode sounds. so fantastic. i still love arkham series. PS: AA is my least favorite. the only thing i love about it is the environment, music & superbatclaw.
I remember the first game that really impressed me with its sound design was the original Mass Effect. It was the first game I remember running around in just to hear the variations in the footstep sounds based on the material you were walking on.
Graphics and sounds can be remastered your looking at it in correctly overall its the same game Ark-ham Knights is way better both in my opinion graphically and game-play wise, the other game is garbage and a waist of money.

The aesthetics of Arkam Knight are sooo nice, the way Batman's cape flys to the side when he's walking because of the wind, it's those small details that bring the game to life
You know with the Batmobile always coming in instantly after you call it I liked to imagine it was like a dog/cat that was always slowly following behind him waiting to get called lol
If you can SEE it from afar and press the call button, you can see it ride its way to you. It was really cool how it didn't just spawn behind you or... this new crap where a whole ass vehicle materializes itself into existence in front of you and they chalk it up to "aLiEn/QuAnTuM tEcHnOlOgY" or "HigHly aDvAnCeD StEaLtH SHrOuD tEcH".. gtfo just let me see the vehicle come from behind a corner or something at least 😂
God the batmobile was great in Arkham Knight. I know some people thought the missions with it were repetitive/annoying, but the traversal with it was so much fun
What I liked at the Batmobile the most was the challenges with batmobiles 😄 I like racing games too and also being a big Batman fan. It was like a Win / Win for me.
Big difference between the two games for me is every time I called the bay mobile there was always a little bit of action wondering where it would come from, and then boom you’re in it. With the bay cycles their animations aren’t dynamic and it feels AWFUL even thinking of driving the thing because it’s so slow and clunky
@@LusioEcarts me too, i loved doing anything in the batmobile, especially gunning it and shooting out at top speed straight into a glide. It might be my absolute favorite traversal in a game (except Spider-Man of course lol)
what’s funny is Gotham Knights had a similar if not longer development period than Arkham Knight as well. Still blows me away to this day that Arkham Knight was made in 2015
Been that way for years. "Games as entertainment" is running strong on the dollars of whales and children, but games as an artform is circling extinction regularly.
Even after putting almost 100 hours into Arkham Knight, I'm getting an urge to reinstall the game . Edit: Reinstalled Arkham Knight as well as the Shadow of Mordor games along with it.
@@DiegoTequila At this point, I would give anything to play as Batman specifically made by Rocksteady. I've lost all faith in WB Montreal. Coming from a guy who used to defend Arkham Origins.
Sound Effect department is usually one of the more underappreciated aspect of video games in general. It's not until we heard something off that we start to appreciate SFXs.
Arkham Knight was a once in a lifetime leap in game design, I don't really expect anything to compare. The artists in that game deserve so much credit for it.
It's a little disingenuous to put these two games together as if they should be equal. Game dev is more than just technology as you said. The design of the Arkham games influenced numerous games after it (Like Spiderman and GoW in my opinion). To expect the same from a different company just because it's a Batman game is a little naive.
I'm 101% convinced Gotham Knights was supposed to be a live service game with all those amazing skins locked behind paywalls (or absolutely insane levels of grinding), but the devs backpedaled on it after seeing Avengers crash and burn. It's the only explanation why the skins look so good and there is so much customization options when everything else looks and feels so low effort.
You nailed it, fucking on the head. Too many games trying to join the Fortnite club. It's killing the passion in gaming, even causing communities to be more split than ever before. I'm looking at you cod, Fortnite, halo, battlefield and apex........ I have a bad feeling gears of war 6 is going to join the live service spoon fed crap, I am so sick if it as a mostly multiplayer guy I might just play campaign games or offline games at this point.
It just shows how important art direction is! Even with the most realistic visuals, if you can't capture that proper "feel," it won't matter. And also the reason why certain older video games have held up so well.
Yup! One of the best pieces of advice I ever got from an art teacher was unless accuracy is critical it doesn't need to BE right it needs to look and feel right. Is this how the shadows would really look? How water would really shimmer, or fabric actually fold? Does it look appealing to the eye and not jump out as wrong? Then go with it.
The art style is why to me Halo 3 still looks great, minus character models and facial animations. The art style and details make it look amazing to me still to this day. Even CoD 2 looks amazing too, I actually prefer its visuals to CoD 4 as they feel like they've aged better in a weird way (the original anyway, remaster still looks amazing, and CoD 4 still looks great, but it's a bit drab in sone spots, but maybe that's just me).
What I love the most is how Arkham Knight's Gotham City looks, despite being lit quite pretty well, still manage to feel unique yet still gloomy and gothic. While Gotham Knight's city looks like Detroit at 2 AM.
I like the realism, Gotham basically is Detroit at 2 AM, plus the bike coming out of active camouflage, what a clever way to use the source material to allow players quick access to vehicles
What kills me is Batgirl's momentum whenever she grapples. She stops midair, doesn't matter if she was falling or rising, and slowly reaches her destination. Whereas in Arkham Knight your momentum never stops, so you keep falling and you also reach you grapple point fast af.
well, the whole physics of the hook is fucked up. NOtice how Batman always hooks on point higher than him, speeds upwards and then soars. Meanwhile Batgirls hook graples anywhere and it doesnt matter if she is higher o the anchor, she just goes to the hook. That is just common sense, not even development related.

I’ll explain the mentality of Batman. He fears if he kills someone like the joker, then where does he stop? Does catwoman deserve to die because she steals? Where do you draw the line? Batman fears that if he kills, he will then keep killing every criminal. Ultimately becoming a mass murderer. And just to clarify, you understand he is psychologically messed up right? This is a grown man who dresses up as a rodent and beats people up at night.. he’s knows he’s mentally unwell so he doesn’t want to become a killer.

I just bought the remasters of the arkham trilogy as I never played them. About 4 hours into asylum. 1st thing I noted. The graphics. God those graphics are sublime. Even now. 2nd. The combat is in fact not shallow and spammy like I wrongly assumed. 3rd...the ultra dark tone. I love it. Its like a superhero horror flick. 4 the gameplay. Fantastic!!! The scarecrow segment made my jaw hit the floor. I love it.
@ShaneDehPain thanks x. Cant wait to play Arkham city. Interestingly this trilogy of games seems to mirror Nolans Batman trilogy in that Asylum is like Begins, a solid and amazing 1st game. City is considered the gem ala the dark knight, whilst Arkham knight seems to be accepted in the same vein as the dark knight rises, slightly weaker yet still great.
I did the same thing and got all 3 on sale a month ago. I finished the story for all of them it was incredible how good those games are. each of them is different and add something unique to the table. Asylum had fantastic atmosphere for example.

I will say that the authors of the story loved Batman. The cutscenes at the Belfry are the best depiction of the three Robins interacting in any adaptation I've seen (outside of the original animated series), and Barbara felt wonderful as well. It's the gameplay that was bad.
The guy who designed batman's cape wrote a book about how he designed it such that it simulated cloth in real time, the challenge was that machines at that time would take few minutes to render one frame for a real cloth simulation, what technique he used that made it possible to put it into the game.
Like, Batman has this cool scene where the car drives into the scene and he hops into it as it's still moving and then Batgirl's motorcycle just materializes from nothing

Never realized how bad the grappling was in gk. You literally stop mid air and then go, whereas in arkham you actually keep momentum. How did this happen. 😭
Different devs guys they aren’t rocksteady Arkham knight was made by them, so the grapple gun may feel different it’s not a 1 to 1 But the Arkham games are more preferable to Gotham knights
Arkham Knight still has one of the best open-world traversal and movement systems ever created. It was so much fun grappling and gliding around Gotham, checking out the city and swooping into a target you were finding. Rocksteady really can't be beat.
Batmobile was awesome for me as a well. Nothing beats gliding, but the batmobile was still great. If they only didn't use it so much for solving puzzles and "boss battles". The latter was challenging, but they overdid it.
It was enjoyable, but I wouldn't say one of the best. Not after playing games like Prototype 2, Spiderman PS4 and Sunset Overdrive. Especially Sunset Overdrive
The boost make batmobile even faster, and the batcycle… wait it doesn’t have it… In Gotham Knight I mean, the batcycle got some in Dark Knight rises movie. Maybe Catwoman burn 🔥 all the boost ? 🤣
It’s not just the graphics, it’s everything. The way the camera distorts the FOV and shakes when grappling to convey speed. The weight of every movement Batman makes is tangible and smooth as hell. His cape moves so gracefully as well. Gotham Knights not only lacks in the basics of textures and design but also its effects and animations are just sub par, especially for a game released in 2022.

I remember so many people sacked off Arkham Knight when it first came out, but I'm replaying it again at the moment, and it really is an amazing game, yeah the batmobile may be overused but god damn it handles in a fun, challenging way, smooth battle mode, looks like a beast, the game overall has this wonderful gritty, dirty look, and the story ties off so many threads from the Arkham universe and had the balls to unmask Batman. Just completed the main game now and am finishing off all the Most Wanted crimes to activate Knightfall and I have thoroughly enjoyed what must be my 7th (maybe 8th) playthrough.

Arkham Knight is superior to Gotham Knights in every way, and that's a terrible thing, considering Gotham Knights was released *7 years* after Arkham Knight.
What really shows it is the grappling hook. In Gotham its just a dead stop then zoom in to where you aimed. But in in Arkham? There's a beautiful motion to it all. You never stop, you keep moving, and There's weight to it. The momentum never truly stops, when you shoot the hook batman is still falling until the mechanism kicks in then yeets his ass to the hook. Its clear when passion is present, and when a plank of wood tripped on a keyboard and shat out a game.
Gotham Knights only looks bad in comparison. If we hadn't gotten the Arkham games, then people would like it a lot better I'm sure. After I got past the mindset of comparing it to Arkham, I realized the game is actually decent, and I'm enjoying my time playing it.

I'm very impressed at Batman's ability to literally ignore g-forces that would otherwise disconnect a man's shoulder from it's socket at the speeds he stops himself and instantly is yanked in another direction, one handed by his grapple. Physics in a video game, based on a comic book, is never a viable argument because it'll always ignore them.
@@macdaddymario It is absolutely a viable argument. You could always argue that his grappling hook and/or suit has some mechanism of shock absorbtion. Also, this immunity to shoulder dislocation doesn't break immersion. It's a background issue. Batgirl's ability to pause gravity is front and center with no clear explanation. It's like seeing someone burn alive in an exploding car and then seeing them alive 10 seconds later without a scratch. There has to be an explanation for something that so clearly defies logic.
@@macdaddymario There's "kinda weird that his arms aren't being fucked up by what he's doing" and there's "that girl is literally defying gravity" One of those things is much less obvious than the other and infinitely less immersion breaking.

The effect is pretty indistinguishable from just having the bike teleport in, though (which is literally what the game is doing). And it's certainly not as badass as calling the Batmobile and then after a few seconds' delay hearing the roar of the engine and seeing it come flying around the corner
Wait, that effect *isn't* supposed to look like someone dying in fortnite??? I. Huh... I mean, I feel like there are a lot of ways you could convey that it's coming out of camouflage, first one that comes to mind is that thing that marvel movies especially do with big ships having tons of little cameras or mirrors on them, if you had a moment to watch as it kind of "shimmered" into your view that would be genuinely sick, watching as this nondescript patch of environment is revealed to be hiding a vehicle, but instead we got.. That.
Destruction mechanics of Arkham Knight is so damn underrated imo. The mayhem you can cause with the Batmobile is crazy and it is just so satisfying to ram thugs' cars and send them flying lol

You see the love that they put in Batman Arkham city. It doesnt matter what year they make it in. Its the passion by the devs for the franchise that counts.
*Arkham City Arkham Knight is the mediocre third entry that ends an amazing franchise. Think of Kung Fu Panda or The Original Star Wars Trilogy. The first part builds anticipation, the second pulls off such high highs that the third cannot even touch it.
GTA 4 had a pretty cool physics engine. The suspension made most cars actually feel heavy and different to drive. I think it was too complicated for the average man to pick up and play though so I think that's why it became more arcadey in GTA5. Still an underrated feature/detail.
Many games that aren’t racing games have suspension for their vehicles, but it depends on which game and which vehicles. The batmobile having suspension is kinda surprising
The crazy thing about the Batmobile and Batcycle is that they're actually going at similar speeds. The dev team didn't do a great job with the game's physics though and settled for adding speed lines.
I mean on their defense why would they make possible to destroy civilians cars with the Batcycle? In Arkham Knight it was ok to crash them because most were empty or had criminals in them
Don't defend them. Didn't you see how the bike just stopped on a dime after colliding with that vehicle? She was doing a wheelie too, and everyone knows in games that means that car is now a ramp. She should have ramped over that car and yes, damaged it. The car doesn't have to explode, but something needs to happen.s
The games ass why go for a bit of an RPG setup it made no sense oh the stealth is so wack don't get me started but fr somehow the batmobile still feels faster then the batcycle

I hate when I bruise my clothes
❤❤❤❤❤❤
That is not 'narrative building' 🤦
@@Zeus.thunder it is, when it depicts the idea of hard night for batman through visual means. You can look at the state of the batsuit to understand that he has had a tough night. It doesn't go from fine to worse in a single go but rather it happens gradually overtime you do main missions.
The longest night ever.
Reminds me of what somebody said about Dead Space: the reason a 14 year old game can old up relatively well is due to art direction, appropriate visual obscurity, and effects.
Usually I would just flatout agree, but this video mostly showcase graphical fidelity and the new game still lost.
Same thing with TF2, Minecraft, Borderlands 2 and Old School Runescape. Timeless Design will always beat out fancy "New" graphical features.
Assasins Creed 1 also looks good even today for being a game of 2007-2008
The technology was more limited but the artists were incredible.
Same thing with Okami and Wind Waker

He's much beefier than Batgirl though, it only makes sense
I mean that’s just a poor design choice in between devs. But i agree it does make a difference though. The grappling animations seem pretty identical just in Knighhts it’s not as polished to not show the jarring
Transition/in between motions as shown in the Arkham series.
We're going backwards
Agreed. The animations are much better in Arkham Knight
No one's said it yet but the sound design in Arkham Knight is just impeccable as well. When you soar the sky and fold/unfold the wings, it really sounds like a bat fluttering around.

True but this is missing context. In Knights the city is fully populated, its business as usual. So they have to be stealthy, as the cops are also after you. So invisible bike makes sense.
Yea so much modern games don't have it no more.
Dmc 5, the newer halo games (not counting infinite), and this one too.
Art direction has nothing to do with it. Old games dont hold up because they look pretty.
I think it's just a budget difference.
The tone, colors, darkness, occasional lightning and slight rain make such a huge difference in establishing the setting. It really puts you IN Gotham

@@NickTovA I'm not sure what this has to do with what I said. I was only commenting on the depiction of vehicle speed.
The games ass why go for a bit of an RPG setup it made no sense oh the stealth is so wack don't get me started but fr somehow the batmobile still feels faster then the batcycle
