I got spoiled on my last trip last August. I’d be devastated having a day like this since I’ve had many!!! But I’m glad you’re posting days like this as well.
Thank you for the feedback man! I’ve had many many many days like this on the water! Everyone has slow days, and unfortunately everyone also has rough or frustrating days! Usually don’t post something like this, but I figured I’d change it up this time since we all go through it out on the water!
Woke up drunk one morning to a marine friend of mine burning my phone down "we got a sailboat, get down to this slip" those boys were havi g a great time. I, thought we were all gonna drown lol.
I was wondering what happened to your videos. I too, had back surgery in early October. L5-S1 decompression/ fusion. My next trip is April 12th. That'll be 6 months after surgery. Hope it goes well for you. Watching the video right now!🎣🙏
I hope you’re healing up quickly man! My injury was my L4 and L5. No surgery luckily, but there is a possibility I may need to later on in life. Just need to focus on strengthening my back as much as I can!
Yeeaaahhh, still kicking myself in the ass for the J hook! Originally had a circle hook tied on, and was told there was hit and miss yellowtail in the same zone around that time, so I cut off the circle and tied on a J. Should’ve just stuck with the circle hook lol
Thanks for tuning in! It’s one of our main techniques out here! I have a video breaking down everything about Fly Line fishing if you wanna check it out! It’ll be in my tips and tricks playlist!
It's all about working together on sportboats. not everyone is going to know the educate and might be new to this style of fishing, so speaking up and working together is always important!
Just coming off lower back injury myself Ray. Funny, I saw you st last years PCS show in March after my pec tear where I still had the sling on. I’ll try to catch up with you again at this years show 🤙🏼 - Tony “ Ventura harbor Skallywag “
While casting a flyline bait, its important to be really gentle with the cast. Make sure your bait moves in a pendulum motion at the initial start of the cast, similar to how people describe casting a surface iron. Try a soft cast, and work your way up to further and further casts.
Nice trip dude, I love the editing on this vid btw!
Really appreciate it man, thank you!
Better than a day in the office! Always good times with the Mission Belle Mafia 👍

Welcome “back” Ray! Hope all stays well and pain free!

Those people sure don’t want to move out of the way.

Sorry to hear about the follow up injury man! I hope you’re back in good health before the season starts up!
Hope to see you at PCS again this year!
Great video! It'd be cool if you gave a run down on the line #, rod, reel etc, you were using!
I can probably start doing that from here on after my big trips! Not a bad idea, thank you!
Get bite bruh. Back been holding me down also....HOOKUP🎣
Sorry to hear that man! Wishing you some speedy recovery before the season kicks off!
How do you cast your flyline like that? I always backlash when trying to cast on conventional

Looks like all monofilamint 😊
Fly line, I run a top shot of mono, to about a 6ft leader of flouro.
For surface irons, just a top shot of mono!
Both have braid backing though!
what rod do u have on your trinidad?
It’s a Phenix Axis 1009HJ
What day was this?
This was back in October. Just some footage I was finally able to get around to!
I was confused, Coronado bluefin in January?! I got excited for a second 😭
@@funkehouse lol sorry. No just been having a really really busy last couple months
