For yrs bought 10 - 15kg blocks of frozen fish fillets always mackerel varieties up in Darwin , good value initially . . the first place I was buying was on Carrie st right up in town . . the owner an interesting fellow a ex NT cop , who was part of growing huge bush pot plots & curious managed to slip the noose of justice & bought that fish business & premier pubs in the city . . always you could cut the atmosphere with a knife when going into tiny shop to buy your block of fish , the last place was buying blocks of frozen fillets was in Winnellie in the industrial outskirts . . that fellow running that show was charged & convicted of a fish substitution scandal where he was supplying Darwin restaurants with Basa pest fish instead of Barra
Thanks again mate..still too many bloody sharks for my liking.. Question:: are you able to catch those long tailed tuna if you had someone having a crack at them while normal trapping was going on?
Crazy seeing yall keeping small and even juvenile red snapper but in the gulf of Mexico we are only allowed 2 person with minimum length of 16" now I guess I know why our fisheries are so strict it's so yall can catch as many and whatever size you want to smh 🤦♂️
Totally different fishery, we have a total allowable catch quota management system which regulates how much we harvest. Totally different fisheries, Totally different management regime
Happy Holidays Mates! May the fishing gods favor you for this and many more trips!❤

Why are you no longer line fishing. Sorry if asked before . Happy New yr
Wanted to try out a new industry mate. Had been long lining for a very long time
@tkoffshorefishing my distance family members involved with Patagonian tooth fishing off heard island. Cold and rough as guts weather
What kind of skipper makes the crew go to sea for Xmas it's different if you are already out there you have missed the Xmas rush
None of us have family in Darwin. We still celebrated Xmas day
Mars mass . . it's a pagan Mars closer before festive occasion , no need to get one knickers in a twist over it
It’s only Christmas
Tides wait for no man 👍
