@ Studded snow tires work on ice. How do I know? I have them on all 4 corners on my GMC (4 wheel drive) Suburban. They are great in the snow. I get slightly less MPG than on summer tires. If you love the 4 seasons, The Erie area is a great place to live. I’ve been outside for the past 2 days shoveling, snow blowing and helping neighbors. The kids are bundled up and are having fun making igloos and sledding, my grandkids couldn’t wait to go out and have fun. People that live in areas that are impacted by lake effect snow storms are pretty used to this and are typically prepared for a few days of inconvenience. I took my Labrador for a walk and ran into a neighbor that grew up with my girls. He now lives in the Tampa and told me that he lost everything with the hurricane back in October. In a few days, we will be dug out and back to business.
it's not "want". this is just a (fairly) typical winter storm. yes, this one was a lot, but we get 3-4 major lake effect snowstorms per season. yesterday into today was probably 36-40" (just guessing, because lake effect is very localized, so some places will get 15" and some will get 40"), and even fifteen miles south of town, the snow didn't even completely cover the grass. it's inconvenient, and it can be difficult in spots, but remember, the vloggers are going where they hear the action is on the radio, and some of the spots they have (repeatedly) filmed are notoriously bad, because they get a lot of traffic, or because they're on a steep hill, or at a busy intersection, etc.

If you’re prepared and your vehicle is set up properly it’s generally no big deal. Stay off the road and let the crews do their job. For decades I was an essential worker and was out in it no matter what.
As a 40 year resident, this statement is false. I think I snowblowed twice last year. And actually the last few years have been pretty minimal. Nothing like this at all.

I always have to laugh the stupidity you see in winter storms .hell ,p people thinking they have to be out and that they can get around . I would be willing to bet that more than 3/4 of them do not have to be out . The worst part others have to save them. I drove truck ask an owner operator for 30 years add I helped many stuck in snow storms and I never had any issues myself.
The city is ticketing and towing at owners expense vehicles that are stuck in the middle of the road. When you call a tow company to get your stuck vehicle out you are told it's a few days wait because the city is using all the resources! Makes no sense, way to kick people while they are already stressed.

If you’re prepared and your vehicle is set up properly it’s generally no big deal. Stay off the road and let the crews do their job. For decades I was an essential worker and was out in it no matter what.
I hate snow! Pretty to look at somewhere else!
S'all right. Snow don't like you much either. Happy trails, Linda. We have your license number. 😆
I’m trying to reach you for your shoves extended warranty
NOTHING NEW FOR THIS AREA ! End of lake, they ALWAYS, ALWAYS !get it like this ! !
As a 40 year resident, this statement is false. I think I snowblowed twice last year. And actually the last few years have been pretty minimal. Nothing like this at all.
Everybody helping each other out... What a concept!! No horns honking no people driving like idiots no flipping people off no arguments!!!! How nice is that. What a change.. Its quiet.. ❄️❄️❤❤❤❄️❄️🔥🔥.....
STAY HOME!
Well dam that sucks glad we never get snow like that and this early to wow
How old are you? 5?
I live in Florida. I’m thankful for that!!
I’d rather have snow than live in that hideous state 😂😂😂
I’d shovel 10ft of snow rather than live Florida. Snow melts eventually, hurricanes destroy shit. And you have a douchebag governor.
I'll take snow over hurricanes any day.
it's a balmy 63 on cocoa beach! and i think it's chilly.
Now is a good time to be in Florida! 🌞
Jesus. Help these people. As a Michigander this heavy ice snow is the worst most dangerous. Get the babies and kids safe! Sorry for all of you. We’ve all been there. But dam!! Two weeks it was tshirts! Here outside of Detroit we have snow, wind, cold. But that is like that Arctic Blast we had!! It’s covering a huge swath. 🙏🏻 pray for people living alone… check on neighbors. 💪
You know it's not going to be a good day when you see tow trucks with snow plows on the front. Triple A, my aas. I'ma walkin'.
Yeas and I wonder how many plows are broke down too.
cripple A.
Why are people driving it that and risking their lives and vehicles? STAY HOME!!
As a resident of Bruce County Ontario, I understand what you are getting. Lake effect snow sucks!
This is what happens when stupid people think summer tires will go through snow.....
True, I've seen people drive $70k vehicles with worn out all seasons in the winter. Idiots
Go outside for some fresh air and get some exercise. Snow doesn't kill anyone! Secure your property, your stairs and the passages for the electric meter and the mailbox.
I always have to laugh at the stupidity of people commenting when they're clueless about what it is they're commenting about lol.
is that like 2 feet of snow? wow
Looks more like 6"
Ain't over, yit.
4 feet in north east pa no exaggerating
we got 30", yesterday. lake effect warning until tuesday. not kidding.
Looks kinda like the 1970's again !!!!!
The city is ticketing and towing at owners expense vehicles that are stuck in the middle of the road. When you call a tow company to get your stuck vehicle out you are told it's a few days wait because the city is using all the resources! Makes no sense, way to kick people while they are already stressed.
Stay home
When I lived there, it was pre-snowblower days No down clothing. Cars were all rear-wheel drive and made of metal, which held the cold.
Pray for everyone to be safe and warm. Snow is pretty BUT the ice and accumulation is very dangerous. God's speed.
Niagara Falls here. Not a single snowflake.
Beautiful
We get 1/16 of a inch of snow here in my town and the freaking plow/sander truck comes thru pactically scuffing up the pavement then plastering it with sand !
As long as I just see it and don't have to live in it .
Not to cold out yet .
Glad I’m on vacation in Arizona! Going back to Pa on the 7th😢
Serious 4wd needed if you live there
Doesn't help much if you don't have traction. Got front wheel drive & do just fine.
AWD Durango, Michelin defenders, ate it.
Praise the lord
Yes, I'm sure He/She/They had something to do with this mess.
I live in the Blue mtns of Washington St in a 22-foot trailer, and I get this every year.
Whomever helped my grandmother out of the sewer thank you
This is my home town growing up we had snow up to your a** . Yes it looks bad this town is the best place to learn to drive in snow I now live in the north east Pa. it's cold here. I'll take the snow over the cold any day. The drivers here can't drive to save themselves in two to three inches. Thank God for Erie I miss my hometown.
We are very jealous up here in Michigan. We don't get the lake effect like that even though I live in a lake effect snow zone.

I don’t want none of this thanks Brad or Brett or whoever else is the LSM guys that travel all over the damn place to Puerto Rico and Jamaica or wherever thank you I watch all your videos I know y’all take turns one day in New York next in cali then in Florida thank you brothers
Awd does not do good in this much snow. You need four wheel drive. Put your transmission in 1 gear. Carry sand in your car. Just a hint from some who had an 800 ft drive on a hill. My 4 runner never got stuck even when the snow was over the bumper. Good luck you guys
Blah blah blah, my AWD Durango would disagree. We were out in this last night. It was nothing for that vehicle.
Love snow around Christmas but this is not the nice pretty type that makes it look like a Hallmark movie (it looks like The Day After Tomorrow) Really heavy and wet - and there's too much of it already....
Jingle bells
Winter sucks
Give me sun and warmth
I want to swim with the fish
Not freeze my azz with Jack frrrrossst
I guess I need to move to Ashtabula county if I ever want to see snow again.
Y'all be careful Fam. Much Love 😊
It's tiring when it does not stop snowing....I prefer this over Hurricanes & floodings. Which I do not want to ever experience.
Look carefully at your gear selection, is there a “ low” setting??? Try some weight in the back of the truck.
Its a nightmare! Buried in over 3 FEET of snow in Girard
Would be great if this is it for the winter. We have had plenty.
We can only dream to see snow in Australia it snows on the mountains but we got to pay to get there
My wife's best friend from Florida brought her 6 year old son to visit us here in rural Upstate New York. They flew in at night. The next morning, he was amazed at the rolling hills of our area. Fortunately, it snowed about 2" while he was here. He loved building a snowman and having a snowball fight in the yard.
Lessee, replacement windshields back ordered.
I'm up here in canada, it sucks to be in the usa! The snow is not here!
Canada ain't up. But Canada's Dry. Get it?
Canada WISHES they were the US lol
The video I'm looking at looks like about a foot of snow? But is it actually 30 inches?
