Oh no, that's Queen Laquesha to us commoners like you or I ! . I assume she put down her window just before the video clip started to express her status to the camera rather then leave her window closed to keep her children warm and concentrate on what she was doing. I assume this is very typical of the weather that hits every so often throughout the winter in that area and am guessing there are numerous people that don't put winter tires on ...pretty much need a good clearance 4x4 and a good set of winter tires just to deal with an area like that and even then stay off the road unless one has to be on it.
@@Doris-i3o LOL, I was thinking the same thing and its black friday sales correct ... I guess that one lady who was cussing out the camera man took the friday statement literally.
Im in Ontario Canada, but we have the same weather often. I live in a rural area, and would never be without 4x4 and good snow tires. The results if you don't are pretty much every vehicle in this video. Snow tires are the bare minimum.
Why do people floor it and expect to go anywhere? You might as well put your car in park and shut it off. Or just stay home if you don't know how to drive in snow.
I’ve never been caught up in a snow storm nor do I plan on ever getting caught up in one. I always listen to the weather forecast and stay away from mess like this. Love watching these though 😁😁😁😁
A lot of these people need to turn off traction control when trying to get moving. Many times the computer will sense a spinning wheel and apply the brake to that wheel to stop it. Not exactly helpful when trying to get un-stuck. Once moving turn it back on if you wish (most drivers should😏)
They are plowing as per various videos but they can't keep up as lake effect snow can come down rapidly and its impossible to keep the roads clear. Salt isn't going to do much good as it would get all plowed off the road the next pass of the plow and again due to all the snow that keeps coming during an event like this. There is no good answer really, if one needs to be on the road, to have a vehicle with clearance and "real" 4x4 and good winter tires. I looked it up and PA as well as New York and Ohio to either side allow tire studs during the winter so that would not be the issue like it is in lets say Minnesota where they can NOT run studded tires or tire chains under any circumstance, its completely retarded in that state.
I've lived in Erie for 30+ yeears. To answer your question, when you have a storm that produces more than 3 inches an hour, no plow trucks can keep up with it, especially when it's the day right after Thanksgiving, the city plow is understaffed. City of Erie is usually very good with snow removal. We don't use snow chains, four season tires only.
This video might be showing an unusual number of visitors to Erie because if it being black Friday. People from the region come here for shlipping. So some of these people just may not know what to do at all really.
I live in Erie. I live on peach Street. I have no shovel and I was snowed in all day I had two neighbors shovel me out but I don't know what I'm going to do for tomorrow. Welcome to winter 🥶❄️
I grew up 7 miles west of Watertown, NY and if it didn’t snow at least a foot overnight - it didn’t make the news. We never owned a car. We walked to school regardless of the temperature and regardless of the snow. School never shut down. That’s just the way it is along the coast of Lake Ontario and Lake Erie..
And that's why I like my winter rated all weather tires. They may not be _quite_ as good as dedicated winter tires, but they are SO much better than standard all season junk, and they're always ready. Not gonna get me thru everything out there, but everything I need to.
None of these people would be able to drive in the country during a snow storm LO.L. I was especially stunned when I saw that big old truck being stuck. I was like come on now.😂😂
Unfortunately, many folks are accustomed to the normally heroic level snow clearing service the city provides. NGL, Erie does a great job handling it. If this city is overloaded, then it's a stratospheric storm. I'm lucky that my first car was a stick shift manual drive. So even with an automatic, I know to drive with the lower power gears and to steer against the slide. You gotta also know how to drive in anticipation of those who might lose control of their vehicle.
I found your comment quite amusing as per the use of winter tires .. ( ok so you caught me, the Canadian spelling ) simply because winter tires would be an extremely rare commodity in Australia, yet there you are using your brain and can't figure out why some people who live in an area like that are clueless from one year to the next and repeat the same stupidity year after year ( and roll down their window and yell at someone taking video rather than trying to figure out where they went wrong in life ).

Extremely well done! I felt like I was sitting in a car the entire time. Even felt sorry for the second car who got stuck too.
I LIVED this video!
I have to admit I went and got myself some hot chocolate before starting this video
Funny you say that, I turned this on and immediately went for a cup of hot coffee ☕️
I hope you also have some mini-marshmallows for it!
Drink some for me!
0:12 these people must have never heard of snow tires
Wish we could have stude tires or four wheel drive or all wheel drive
It’s called “Stupidity and Arrogance.”
No matter how far and long you prepare for a snow storm..
It always surprises you!! Awesome coverage, and do continue to have
Happy Holiday's ;-)

It’s crazy how it can change in a matter of hours.
It's snowing way harder than was predicted so far. I don't think anyone was truly prepared for this storm
Great Work again ! High Quality Footage
Wow, thanks!
Nice footage Fam
Thanks Heather!
i make it a habit to listen to my weather man so i can lay in bed and watch videos like this

It makes me wonder if those lottery tickets and Swisher Sweets were that important to go out in the snow for. :)

Snow chains?? Snow tyres? Why is the county not plowing the roads? No rock salt??

Ummm get a shovel once it stops snowing.
Btw if you have no hat and gloves go get them.
I bet you ain’t got no boots niether
Where’s the snow plows?
Ohh No.
The funny thing is us folks that lives here are not shocked at all. Come February we will call this just another day.
Government spent all money on migrants, none for snow plows

Wish some of the snow would come more towards the buckeye state we just got flurries honestly
eek! i will be heading to eastern PA - hope it's all rain!
Let's see. Chains, Snow tires, quit spinning the wheels, stop locking up the brakes when stopping, slow down or just stay home.
Watch out for diverse Indian drivers
people drive with no snow tires
I live in Rochester about 150 miles away from Erie and we have not seen even one single snowflake yet this season
Looks like a foot of snow. Nasty.
Glad I live in Florida, makes me cold just watching and I do own a snow shovel 😂 comes in handy for many things
knew it was coming - the chemicals sprayed on the east coast was off the chain

Nice example for the kids in the car at 1:30. Not too surprising.
Gotta love those those front wheel drive cars in the winter. Rear wheel drive you can buy bags of rocks at home depot, but 4 wheel drive is better.
It surprises me that in 2024, people still don't clean the snow off the entire car before travelling. No good excuse.
Today's new cars have extremely WEAK automatic transmissions. Spinning the wheels will ruin them even faster!
Shoveling snow can cause a heart attack.
stay home
Wow! I live directly across the lake and there is nothing here…yet?

Not have four wheel drive?
Lol as a Canadian it's entertaining seeing Americas deal with snow

There’s people driving in that weather with bald or almost bald tires 😂
People to lazy to buy and learn how to use chains. Grew up in PA in the 1960's...one of the first things my Dad taught me about Winter driving!
I see even AWD vehicles are stuck! Whats up with that?

why are people spinning the little tires in the snow? if you can't go 6 feet you can't go 6 miles....

80% of them didn't need to be out there.

why they even travel? having fun?
Waiting one day for all the nuts to get stuck and not tear up your car engine is having an accident that you can't afford.
