There's two things here that I really wish people would learn. 1) Anchor your bloody stripper pole, and 2) Don't try to ride a hoverboard if you have shitty balance!
I would add "don't try to ride a hoverboard once past the age of 50." As a septuagenarian, I know how easy it is to misjudge one's balance, as you said, but also how easy it is to break body parts that should never be broken at all.
Also, anyone who is the least bit overweight should never try to use a stripper pole in the first place without it being secured both upward and downward to hold a minimum of 400 pounds!
The girl in the black exercise outfit was fine, she knew what she was doing, but for some reason she lifted the upper foot away from the pole and fell. She seemed to be a bit dazed and very disappointed in herself, but man, she was doing super well before falling!
However, the later woman with the black top and jeans was just plain far too heavy for the pole, even if it was properly anchored, so she got the expected result.
3) You couldn't get me to don a VR headset!
The poles are meant to be temporary and are like tension rods. If you swing on it like an idiot, it'll pop off. Anchor it and then swing like an idiot and you'll bring down the cheap apartment ceiling, plus lose your deposit for drilling holes in it. Gotta be gentle on those non professional rigs!
