Bought the MLM2 last eeek and I am very impressed with hit. Getting 5 E6 courses is nice. I have issues playing some Rapsodo courses when in rough ill hit a 5 wood out of the rough and says I only hit it 30 yards but if I use a 7 iron it will go 180
Huh… definitely some bugs in the course play but it’s clear the courses weren’t individually designed. Would be difficult to spend 100 hours on all 30,000 courses like gspro but I do think we will see further improvement. It’s great for what’s included and you get the impact cam after every shot. I just got a new device so I’m hoping to test some more course play since I can play on max settings now.

My membership for the first year ends tomorrow 12/15. Do I need to renew my subscription to get access to third party apps like gspro? If the answer is yes then I would have to purchase gspro and renew my subscription for $750 for both correct?
@@Matt-zs6zd you woul need to renew otherwise you lose quite a bit. You don’t need to do the lifetime subscription but if you do, yes, it’s $750 for both. I’ll be in the same boat in March.
So if you don’t want to pay a subscription to access the data points of the device (this is the only LM on the market that locks data behind a sub) then you’re paying $1200 for a LM. At that point you’re better off getting something optically-based on the used or refurbished market.
Not everyone likes the subscription model but the lifetime membership pretty much covers that now. $1200 is extremely fair for what you get. BLP hides club data behind a paywall and more than half the launch monitors on the market have a subscription cost. With this device you’re paying for the Rapsodo app and simulation features within that as well. Not to mention the impact camera which to me is worth hundreds. Might not be everyone’s cup of tea but that’s why there are so many options on the market.
Rapsodo Facebook pages. The admin is a Rapsodo employee and he’s spoken about it. He did confirm with me today that club data is no longer set for Q1 as it was originally leaked. I have a screenshot from September where support told a customer that these metrics were coming in Q1 2025.

Interesting that Square Golf got an official integration for gspro in such a short time. Not sure what’s taking so long but I hope we get that and some club data soon. Not holding my breath but I’m already happy with what we have. I wonder how far out the Pro-V1x is 😆 that’s my ball

For the record . It has been 2 years and they still do not have direct to GSpro connection . When I asked they replied with " We still don't have a time line " It took square 2 months to do it . Don't hold your breath with club data . It might take another 2 years .

The main difference is this is subscription-based but now has the option for the lifetime sub. The accuracy between the devices are similar but it’s some of the other features that really make it stand out. This one has simulation capabilities with the native Rapsodo app. 30,000 courses to play, a driving range and target range, speed training, and the impact camera. The impact camera is crucial for game improvement because it shows a 240 fps slo-mo of impact as well as your swing, and you can use it with 3rd party simulation apps. It’s great as a portable launch monitor but to unlock its full potential, you’ll want a net or impact screen/projector setup at home to take advantage of the Rapsodo app. If you’re looking for another competitor to the mevo, check out the original MLM (not the pro). It’s cheaper than the pro and great for data and bringing it on the range.
Based on the nature in which this info came from, I’d have to say that’s not the case. Rapsodo is advertising heavily for the mlm2pro and still putting out updates. Units like the garmin r10 haven’t had an update in years and are still going strong

Takes time to tweak the algorithms so that chipping works properly and so that all the numbers can be accurate. The square doesn’t yet have accurate spin axis numbers which is what dictates the shot shape. And since it’s so cheap for a camera unit (unheard of) it begs the question whether or not the hardware is good enough to actually be accurate. Also, the square can’t be used outdoors. It’s difficult to compare them apples to apples but right now, mlm2pro has the edge. Everyone’s just excited because square is new and sits so close to the ball.

And you could still buy a cheaper LM to take to the range if you wanted. And you'd still be saving money not paying sub fees. Also, personally, if i had space for a radar unit, I'd just go for the Mevo+. You end up spending the same amount in the long run, but you get a better unit.

I have screenshots that I’ve referred back to. Ive spoken to a couple different people working for Rapsodo about it but never received a complete answer. Sounds like there’s a lot of different things going around. Hopefully we’ll get an official statement soon.

They said it won’t transfer to a new device. If purchased it only applies to the mlm2pro. But I don’t see a new device coming out for awhile. They’re putting a lot of effort into the mlm2pro. The new lifetime sub option tells me they’ll continue to service this unit for several years. I know another graphics update and likely a pc software is coming too.
@ kinda sad cause any new device will cost more, which means more more subscription cost as well, which ultimately screws most of us…. Wish a company would just make affordable devices for consumers and for the game and not just focus on squeezing every dollar out of us.
@@Danjr704 This is what I'm afraid if. Had the Skytrak and they have said they have no plans to change the user interface on the old ones. Only will give you $500 trade in. Kind of sucks. Sold my Skytrak for $500 to someone who was getting their child into golf. Put a pool table in. Now I kind of want to take it out and put a launch monitor back in! lol. Been looking at this and am very tempted but with no room to use indoors, makes me think twice.

The 2 are apples and oranges because they serve different purposes but if accuracy is the goal, the mlm2pro is still miles ahead. They will never get putting right. Chipping is still not perfect . The putter will block the ball . Mine missed 4 chips in one round yesterday .
@ let me know how you like it. I’m curious. I’ve seen the recent stuff but I’ve been hearing the distances are around 10% shorter when playing gspro. Seen a good amount of no reads and I’m not convinced the spin axis is right just yet. Need a true test up against an overhead unit. I’m sure it’ll get there but it might be 6 months
@@PedroAbel24 it was rumored 4 months ago or so when support messaged it to someone, confirmed on Facebook several times since in the official Rapsodo group by one of the admins working for Rapsodo. I stay pretty active in the Rapsodo groups so I only put it in my video if I’ve seen it come from them.
@ club data is big. It’s the missing piece on the MLM2Pro IMO. I was debating getting another launch monitor that had club data but I guess I’ll give Rapsodo some more time.

@@UnrealGolfSandroya, the ball data is great and you can get a great idea on your club data with the impact vision. It will be great to be able to quickly see the metric. For someone who is always working on keeping the path closer to neutral, this information will be very useful.
Most people I’ve come across don’t care for simulator putting. I’m with you, I need to putt for 18 hole rounds. So for now I’m thankful for webcam putting. Works great.

It took a almost a year from the date they teased to get prov1 rpt balls. Chances are club data and GsPro are years away
