Rocky: “Why are they carrying him?”
Mickey: “He’s walking.”
Mick was hands down one of the best punchline comic actors ever. Funny as hell! I still tear up on his death scene
Hulk Hogan's role in Rocky 3 was likely one of the best things to happen to WWF because it was what led to the teaming of Hogan and Mr. T and was used very heavily in the promotion for Wrestlemania 1. That's when the popularity of WWF exploded.
@@MrJjburgess11if we take the story at face value, McMahon senior was an idiot who couldn't see the potential future of having one of his wrestlers in a huge movie production.
I don’t remember the World Wildlife Foundation ever being as exciting as you describe.
Though Hogan was known to be selfish when doing business, any fan who’s met him often says he treats them with so much gratitude and respect. Apparently he’s one of the most genuinely appreciative wrestlers you’ll ever meet.
He's known for crushing the union attempts in the WWE and selling people out for favor with Vince (Famous rapist and basically murder) so he's an asshole through and through

Quick Hulk Hogan story; many years ago I was at an airport on my way to Florida to visit my dying grandfather for the last time. I was miserable enough with that, but I would also be reuniting with one of my (abusive) parents for the first time in years. Who's sitting there waiting for the same flight? The Hulkster! I walked up and asked if I could get a picture, he goes "Of course, brother, c'mere!" and that will forever be one of the happiest moments of my life. God bless, brother man!
Great story, Hulk is a wonderful person he used to do work with make a wish" foundation.
There’s lots of stories of him being personable with the fans but people want to whine about how other wrestlers didn’t like him or he tells tall tales etc. I could care less what other guys with egos think of each other, at the end of the day if you recognize and show humbleness to the actual people who made you rich that’s what’s important.
I've heard that macho man was good at airports too and cool to fans
Hulk Hogan is so cool, he's such a legend for being great with fans
I got a picture with him at a Walmart in Dallas holding a rotisserie chicken I bought 😆
As a kid in the 80s I felt no one could beat him. I’m in my mid 40s and still feel the same way 🙌🏼🇺🇸
I feel the same way. But I also feel that way about Mike Tyson.
The fact Tony stayed quiet is the most stunning part of this whole clip
Tony is pretty quiet on the JRE podcasts in general... Definitley different vibes than when he hosts Kill Tony
He’s a massive WWE fan, I think he just wants to sit back and listen is a wrestling legend describe the wrestling Business
I remember meeting the hulkster at the Philadelphia Airport as a kid. I was around 5 or 6 years old and I got a pic with me on his shoulder. He is a living legend
Not a fan of Joe having kids sit in, and

I still play his clip as 'Thunderlips' from that movie from time to time to cheer me up.
Hogan, Taker, Steve and others...man, I don't watch wrestling anymore but these guys are some of the greatest storytellers. I love hearing them on podcasts
I knew a guy who wrestled a few years and he always told me what an awesome guy Taker is IRL, heart of gold.
Hogan is big now. In his prime he was monsterous. Hogan was promoted at 340 but he was a legit and fit 305+ back in his prime and 6'7" before all his surgeries. He was also crazy strong. I can't imagine Stallone asking to get a full force shot from him. For a guy Stallones size that's a borderline death wish. Hogan was smart enough not to do it, good on him.
he got punched in the chest by Lundgren while making Rocky 4 and almost died.
@@kyleholder3785 Totally agree. People sh*t on Stallone. But if you look at his overall filmography career starting with the 1975 Rocky movie, he's had an overall better film career than even Arnold.
Stalone is nuts. You should hear Austin's stories about him doing The Expendables. Truly a mad man.
he wasnt 6’7. Maybe Thunderlips was though but they made Hogan stand on a crate to look bigger. Stalone’s like 5’9, Hogan is 6’4
@homelessjesse9453 No way better films then Arnold, although cop land is awesome. And Rocky of course.

As a kid who has watched and seen posters of Hogan only in WWF, we never believed that he turned "heel" or became a "bad guy" in some promotion called WCW. Me and my siblings have always thought that was a fake Hogan. True story
Hulk Hogan was the face of wrestling in the 80's and nineties for me. I never followed wrestling, but he was the figure I always heard of or saw on TV or promotions. A bigger than life character.
The Ultimate Warrior and many others were the 80's. Hogan, BHM, etc were the 90's.

I saw Hulkamania wrestle twice in the 80s when I was a young kid and it was amazing how much bigger and taller he was then all the other people there, he looked like an actual giant. I remember when AWA was on TV but it was some channel that barely came in and had a lot of static but that's where a lot of famous wrestlers came from first like the Road Warriors before moving on to NWA or WWF.
I have never been a wrestling fan, but I have always loved Hulk Hogan. This man is a timeless classic.
So many great memories growing up and watching Hulkamania run wild. Thankful I was able to attend several live events in Milwaukee growing up that included Hulk, Andre, and Warrior. The live events were always my favorite because it wasn’t edited for TV, so you got to see all the brawls in the audience and the wrestlers (some, not all) would be talking trash about it or gestures or whatever. Good times man
You are lucky. My parents wouldn't even get me the pay per view events 😢
I wish I attended a live event. Grew up in Jersey, come to find out they always held events at the meadowlands, and of course MSG. I was a half hour away man 😢 lolz

I used to go to high school gyms to watch these old matches. You don't know what you missed. Snuka and Adrian Adonis sitting in a pick up truck in the parking lot is a memory that will not fade.

It's interesting to here that they'd go to Japan and live a different life and then turn around and come home.
Think about the average height and build of Japanese in the 80’s. Professional wrestling to them was a live monster show.

That was genius inspiration to cast the Hulkster in Rocky as 'Thunder Lips'. Stallone had to be at least a little intimidated by that bad boy!
I have to say, this is bloody brilliant.
Thunderlips was a great addition to R3. He looked so bad ass towering over Rocky.
The neighborhood boys and I reenacted that scene over and over in the 80s.
