Hi Michelle. Love all the colorful tops and dresses you have chosen. I agree with comfort first, style second. I wish I could visit on a weekend or day you do your ice dyeing to try your way of doing it. Your colors and designs are pretty cool. I hope I enjoy the cruise as well - I'm sure I will. But I will be worried about Hercules thinking we've abandoned him. He's never been away from one or the other of us for that amount of time. Luckily, we really like the couple that watches him for us. They treat him like their own. So at least we know he'll be loved 😍

I have never been on a cruise. It looks like you have planned out your wardrobe really thoughtfully. You have some really cute outfits in the mix. I would think comfort would be most important and you seemed to have chosen well for that. I hope you enjoy yourself and get to relax a lot. Thanks for sharing.

Wow Michelle, what a fabulous travel wardrobe you've put together . Your haircolor and cut suit you also. A little tip i use when i travel (this would not work for cold climates) is to bring a small spray bottle along and after filling with tap water, spray down my outfit, front and back, in the shower, on its hanger (laying it out on the bed works also) . This tip is twofold, one, it relaxes wrinkles and two, it relaxes any areas that might hug us more than we like. Gentle stretching in those areas while wearing before it dries help that process . I am referring to the two white RTW dresses that you said feel a little tight. I hope you have a wonderful trip! 😊
Thanks so much for the tip - that's great to know! I'm bringing some Downy Wrinkle Release spray for the wrinkles since we can't bring a travel iron or steamer....but I'll include a small spray bottle as well. Thanks!!

Hi Michelle, you are going to look fantastic with your beautiful wardrobe. That’s a lot of work altering your Charlie Caftan. I personally am not a belt person,but I did add the ties to my Charlie. Try it on with a belt or scrap of fabric to see what you think. If you go that route then make a thread chain at your side seams for the belt to go through. Whatever you decide to do it will look gorgeous. Have a fantastic time on your cruise. Also have a great weekend. Val ❤️🇨🇦🇬🇧
Hi Val - I am also not a belt person. But I appreciate the recommendation! I don't think the alterations on the Charlie will be that much work. It's really just taking in the side seams and adding the pockets back in. I think it'll be quick and worth it 😊. Thanks so much!!
I have not been on a cruise but all my friends and relatives love them! I think you have done a great job lining up cute looks appropriate for daily activities and following the "directions" for the theme nights. Hope you have an absolutely wonderful time!

Hi Michelle, great wardrobe. The A/C on the ship can be 🥶. Take a sweater/wrap unless you run hot. The joys of being female. I recently lost weight and took in my Charlie caftan. I did it in the back, so no pockets to unpick. 👏🏻👏🏻
Created a center back seem but like yours my dress had a pattern and no one could tell.

I absolutely love a cruise, I have been on a few. I think your choices are great, for formal night I always just wear a dress. Also in the past we carried our luggage off ourselves so that we didn’t have to wait for the whole ship to be unloaded. I hope the weather is perfect for your trip. Have fun😊

Me again. If you can during your stop in Roatan, see if you can find a Mola. Fantastic fabric art from the San Blas Islands. The colors are right up your alley.

Your dress will be perfect for formal night. Now a days it’s “dress your best” instead of formal night. I’ve been on 40+ and I still enjoy them. I’m going out of Tampa in October. Last November I did a 15 day Transatlantic from Rome to Ft Lauderdale. Now that’s hard to pack for 😊

Fabulous cruise-worthy choices, Michelle! You'll be so comfortable and super stylish the entire time. I think the two white dresses are both lovely and the short one will definitely relax with wearing but in my opinion, the longer one feels more 70's to me and totally glamorous...especially once you add your ice-dyed touch to it. I hope you'll take pics on the cruise, but totally understandable that you'll likely be too busy enjoying yourself! I totally hear you about enjoying skipping the day trips. I've been on one cruise and it was very relaxing and my introverted self enjoyed finding a beach chair in a hidden corner of a deck somewhere and just reading in quiet...heavenly. Enjoy!

I've been on 21 cruises all on Carnival Cruise Line. One thing I will tell you don't call it a boat, it's a ship. They will tell you boats sink ships sail...LOL...When I pack now I only take 3 pairs of shoes. I take one pair of nice black pants for the dress up nights and two different tops. I also will do laundry around day 5 of a 7 or 8 day cruise. I hate taking home a ton of laundry. I take soap pods and dryer sheets. Roatan is a great place to get off the ship just to look around. Tons of shops. Tourist stuff, but fun anyway. Have a great time. My next cruise is in October. Can't wait to hear what you think of the cruise. Oh, I get up at 7am grab a deck chair, grab a quick breakfast on Lido deck and sit in the sun until noon or 1pm. Then I go in for the rest of the day. I usually read one or two books while cruising.
Wow - 21 cruises?!?! That's amazing! Our ship doesn't have a DIY laundry, you have to use their service. But that's good to know if we ever take a Carnival cruise! Where are you going in October?? I'll definitely be getting a lot of reading in while I'm on the cruise! I'm really looking forward to relaxing!
@@MichelleSewsAgain Well it's going to be crazy because my friend and I are taking 3 cruises back to back to back. Same ship different rooms. Going to Amber Cove, St. Maarten, San Juan and St. Thomas on the first 8 days.
6 day cruise going to Half Moon Cay, Grand Turk and Amber Cove again.
3rd cruise 8 days going to Aruba, Curacao, and Grand Turk. A few repeats, but good ports. You'll either love it or hate it. I only know one person who didn't like cruising after hearing me talk about it. Have fun and don't forget the sun screen that sun is hot.

I don't think the little bit of tightness across the belly on the first white dress you held up for 70s night will really show at all if you use some of your deeper purple and blues on it with thd other colours you like. It would break up any body lines you might have due to the business and colour. It would only be a problem if it was uncomfortable. Alternatively, you could open the side seams and insert some rib knit, lycra, or something else stretchy in a strip to give yourself some room. It would look like a feature in one of your nice bright colours, and as a bonus, seems to be on trend right now. I've seen it several times in shops lately.
